We were only driving through Michigan City and decided to stay the night to split up the long drive. We didn't expect much for the price. We just wanted a place to sleep. We got to the room the first thing I noticed was hair all over the bathroom floor and the room was SO HOT! It was late and all we wanted to do was sleep and we were awake for over […] an hour just because the room was so uncomfortably hot. The beds were so hard we were sore the next day. The only positive thing I could say is that they had a waffle maker at the free breakfast. There is a hotel right across the street called Country Inn and Suites I believe....stay there instead!! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. There is only one slightly negative part of my whole experience at this Comfort Inn, and that was the coffee served that morning in the breakfast area. The coffee I made in my hotel room was very good. The breakfast area coffee in the thermoses was not good. It had a funny taste to it, kind of like the taste […] of old plastic. This hotel is close to all kinds of shopping and eating establishments.

The hotel was very clean and was very close by to the Lighthouse Shopping Outlet mall and the Four Wind Casino and the Blue Chip casino.

The non-smoking room reeked of smoke. We all woke up with sore throats because of it.

Easily accessable to major malls and entertainment centers.

Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very easy to get in and out of and check in/out was speedy and efficient and friendly. i would stay here again.

Very pleased with the accommodations - the room was very clean and appeared to be recently updated. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful.

This is a nice inn. Except for not having an elevator, everything else was fine. They provided extra towels for my girls, and allowed us to stay until noon. The sink and mirror are split from the shower/toilet and allowed us all to get ready easier. There were plenty of electric plugs too. Very spacious room! Loved how roomy it was. couldn't get internet to work the whole time we were there. No fitness center.

Only deterrant was the lack of an elevator in a 2 story hotel.

Convenient location - right off the highway Room was updated with nice flat screen TV A/C unit was very sporadic

The directions were incorrect when exiting 94. The Comfort Inn is on the right not the left.

The hotel is an average hotel, however overpriced due to the fact that the rooms do not have microwaves nor refrigerators. The pool is small. The breakfast was okay. I guess the cost includes the breakfast.

Though I can see this hotel is trying to upgrade with new TV's and paint job there were a few issues. The ice machine was out. The fridge in our room was so loud when it kicked in during the night it woke us up. The heat/cool unit was inconsistent. The breakfast was good. An OK place at a reasonable price. It looks a bit worn but was clean and (relatively) quiet. A door linked my room to another and this tended to transmit my neighbors' conversations loudly and clearly. Since this was only bothersome in the later morning just before I checked out, it was tolerable, but had it occurred when I was trying to sleep it would […] have been a problem. This hotel was very convenient to where I was going, only issue was the ice machines were not working that well. This hotel is more for a quick stay, not more than two days.

Single king room was very small. Breakfast was good.

My husband and I went on our vacation, like we do every year. We desided to try Comfort Inn in Michigan City, because the last hotel we stayed at there. has horrible and is closed down. Anyways the bed was hard. It was like sleeping on the floor. The bathroom was tiny and there was no hot water pressure. And you could hear the people in the other rooms. […] And the road to get to the hotel was pot hole heaven. The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast that was served in the morning. Did not enjoy the hotel because of thier 24 hour cancelation policy. Otherwise the room and staff were fine.
