Hotel Wielopole - Krakow

Very friendly staff at hotel, room was on small side for superior however very clean. Hotel was in process of being taken over so no restaurant was open but this did not bother us as a lot of nice places to stay around Krakow. Enjoyed buffet breakfast. Would go back to this hotel.

Stayed two nights in June 2012 while in Krakow. Conveniently located. Staff was exceptionally helpful with sightseeing and service. Room safe large enough for regular laptop was a plus. The room was basic but very comfortable. Great complimentary breakfast. Wifi connection in room is free. Glad they provided a hair dryer in the bathroom as I forgot […] mine. The room was a little bit small, but very clean. Apart from that nothing to complain about. Location is excellent. Just a few minutes on foot from the Main Square. Excellent central location, very nice room, and very pleasant staff. Good buffet breakfast included. Slight issue with fridge not working very well that prevented 5/5 all round, but I think this was probably a one off and not very important.

We were very pleased with the hotel and the staff. I found the staff to be the friendliest and most accommodating than any other hotel we stayed at on our european holiday. They went above and beyond to make our visit to Krakow a memorable one. I would recommend this to anyone.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kraków, and our 3 nights in Hotel Wielopole. The hotel is excellently situated, being 5 minutes walk from the main square and 10 from the train station. It’s close enough to offer convenient access to the city and just far enough away not to be subject to night time noise and boisterous disturbances. The […] staff were very friendly throughout our stay. We were given a city map upon check-in, and advised of places to visit, how to get there etc. All the staff we talked to spoke very good English (as, indeed, did most in the city itself). Our room was generous in size, and nicely laid out with good quality furniture and nice, comfortable bed. The room had all the facilities one would expect, such as large wardrobe, safe, hairdryer in bathroom, and if you happen to want something that isn’t in the room itself, such as an iron & ironing board, then the staff are only too happy to help. Also worthy of mention are the complimentary products (shampoo, soap, bottles of water etc.). The breakfast buffet offers a large choice of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurts, fruits etc. The breakfast room doubles up as a bar in the evening; according to my partner the coffee it serves is excellent, one of the best she’s ever had... All in all, a nice stay in a lovely hotel. Would we stay there again? In a heartbeat. Devamı

Excellent rooms breakfast acceptable location ideal for old city . Only issue is broadband is very slow 128k but most times cutting off as signal weak if this is not an issue this hotel is superb and staff are very polite.

Hotel smelled like smoke in non smoking rooms. I was kept up all night by noise outside. If you wanna sleep stay somewhere else. Breakfast was.alright. compared to other hotels in Europe its good, but by American standards its terrible.

We stayed here for 5 nights. We got stuck into this place because it was past the cancellation period. The hotel itself was mediocre and the reception was good. But the food got both me and my wife sick the first two days. So if you eat here stick to the bread. There was constant smoke in the hallway, even though our room was non smoking. It felt like […] a bar, and we woke up with headaches from the fumes every morning. Reception wasn't a big help on that. To top off our entire stay, the house keeping stole 300 us dollars from my money belt! Unbelievable! Talked with the manger who could only offer to review security tapes. Very friendly people but will stick a knife in your back if you're not careful. Up to you where you stay, but I will tell everyone I know to steer far away from this place. Devamı

I thought the Hotel was in great location in Krakow. Close to main square and across the street at the Holiday Inn you can get you tours to Auschwitz, Salt Mines, City Tour almost any tour with Crakow Tours. The hotel is very clean and nice and rooms are very comfortable and modern with nice large LCD flat panel tv's and the Heater in the rooms works […] great and makes it nice and toasty so don't freeze to death. Beds are so comfortable and the down filled duvets are quite nice. I thought the staff was friendly for the most part. The breakfast was great with some hot and cold dishes but the warm fresh bread and crossants were yummy they just melted in mouth. The area the hotel is in is very decent and clean and Krakow is fairly inexpensive place to visit. Everything is so inexpensive and cheap to buy in Market. Very pleasing check-in, with receptionist very helpful. He spoke excellent English and gave us a page of Polish vocabulary and information on the location that helped for the next day. The room was delightful and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding!

The main complaint with the room was that the tea/coffee sachets were not replaced at any time. excellent little hotel superbly positioned just outside the centre approx 5 mins walk into the old town square and a couple of very good little bars on the way should you not be able to manage the walk without a drink! The single room was basic but very clean and comfortable bed. Only complaint being the view from the window was to the back of flats so couldn't see how the weather was in the morning. After reading the rave reviews here I was a bit overwhelmed when checking in - it is pretty similar to most 3 star hotels in European cities. After staying 4 days I can add the following: Positive: location is excellent and the bed very comfortable. Negative: service was surprisingly poor, difficult internet access (I went to another hotel to use the […] internet) and it was a bit noisy both from the street as well as the fact that the stairs are not carpeted so you hear everyone using them. The hotel could have a bigger sign as you could miss the entrance however when inside everything was just perfect for our holiday. The staff all spoke english and could not have been more helpful. We booked our tour to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines through the hotel and would give top marks to the companies they used. Slight hiccup when we were returning from Auschwitz. I can't say enough encouraging words about the Wielopole. Very pleasant staff, nice, clean room, good breakfast. It is a mere ten minute walk to Old Town. If there is anything negative to say, it is this. I needed a second cake of soap.

The hotel is not too far a walk from the station around 15 minutes and is right near the center of town around 5 blocks. The staff varied some were very helpful others seemed rushed and overwhelmed with a little attitude. The room was small and basic but fine.

The location is perfect, right between the Old Town and the Jewish quarter and only 10 min walk to the main train station. You could walk everywhere, never need to take a bus or tram. The staff are lovely and helpful. The breakfast buffets are filling and fresh. It really is the perfect hotel! Would go back in a heart beat.

Great location near everything, safe, very clean; Desk staff specifically 2 young girls, Ola and Carolina were outstanding and a credit to the hotel. Room too small for 2 people; bathroom although quite adequate, newer and roomy had no where but a 5" shelf to set personal hygiene things, e.g. cosmetics on, only 2 towels per person, no washcloths, no […] coffee pot, hairdryer was old fashioned with minimal wattage. Beds very comfortable although narrower and shorter than a twin bed and in the way of opening balcony door. Breakfast area disorganized with only one person tending to replenish and food boring after 3 days, everyday the same layout-no variety and at times eggs and crepes were cold Would not return there, too many other choices.
