Grand Hotel Baia Verde - Viagrande

We wonder if this hotel is better in season. When we arrived in the late morning, the man at the front desk insisted that we wait until the 2 PM check in time for our room. They have lovely public spaces, which we found out later. Upon check in, our room stunk of smoke so we requested another. Then we learned that they were only about 5 percent occupied, […] so why keep us waiting? Rooms adequate, breakfast okay, the hotel restaurant barely acceptable. They did run out of just about everything, like coffee, at breakfast,so go early.. The setting is lovely by the sea, but the town location is pretty horrible. The pool was inexplicably roped off, and there was construction which made for a very long walk and two elevator rides to get to the rooms. Bafflingly bad when it could have easily been good. It was a terrible pity that the pool was not open as the temperature was in the early 20s and it was May.

unfriendly staff, room not clean, A/C not working

This hotel is a beautiful location by the water and appeared to have a crowd at the pool each day, but it was pretty shabby in places. The hotel staff was not as attentive as I thoiught they should be.

We stayed two nights in the middle of June and liked everything about this hotel. It is situated on the coast near Catania, Sicily's second city.The hotel is very comfortable, lovely public rooms and gardens. A swimming pool, Wellness Centre, sea bathing and facilities for scuba diving.

We loved the location! Hotel is set on a cliff overlooking the sea with superb views. Definitely 4 star quality! Staff very helpful and friendly. Nor particularly interesting town but there are 3 restaurants within walking distance from the hotel - although it's a busy road outside!

A tengerben való fürdés felér egy extrém sporttal, csak sziklamászóknak ajánlom, de a medence jó és a panoráma gyönyörű.

My girlfriend and I had a really good experience at Baia Verde. We stayed for 9 days enjoying our room, that was was clean, spacious and cozy. The restaurant that provided good food and super service. And the pool and beach area, where we enjoyed sunbathing and drinking espresso while loosing ourselves in the fabulous sea views. Fantastisk beliggenhed og god service. Meget luksuriøst men stadig plads til børn.

ligger suverænt og betjening, køkken, bar m.v. er helt ok.- problemet er at faciliteterne ikke virker.- poolen var f.eks lukket (pgra sand ??).- mangler meget vedligeholdelse.- indendørspool koster euro 30?? fittness ligger i et dunkelt og fugtigt lokale.- så faciliteterne er meget dårlige.-

I paid extra money to reserve a sea view room and I got a room with sea view. However, the room was on the ground floor and the sea was beyond the courtyard and pool... I really think that I shouldn't spend such extra money.

Hotel en emplazamiento envidiable pero con un servicio de recepción que deja mucho que desear. Bastante oscos y con pocas ganas de entender y colaborar con los problemas. Servicio de restaurante pretencioso y caro y nada del otro mundo aunque con unas vistas al mar que lo compensan a medias. Servicio de snack en piscina, extremadamente lento. Old style but in very good condition. Good restaurant. Breakfast with magnificent view. Pool bar with friendly personnel. Great and exciting swing by the lava rocks.

tres bel hotel- magnifique vue et piscine spendide

Et meget dejligt hotel med den skønneste udsigt over havet. Der kan ikke siges noget negativt over hotellet overhovedet. Morgenmaden var helt i top og der var alt hvad man overhovedet kunne tænke sig. Eneste minus er, at hotellet ligger lidt langt fra byen.
