"Aggressive and Unfriendly Staff and Owners"
This Hotel's management and owners are very unfriendly and aggressive when you ask them for anything. They were not at all helpful and certainly not happy to serve anyone - it was not a surprise that the facility was empty when we were there.

Great Value adn Great Location. Easy walking distance to all Carmel has to offer downtown to the beach. Would definitely stay there again.
"Perfect Getaway!"
This hotel offers the perfect location in a great small town. It is centered near the center and safe to walk at night to and from most restaurants and evening event. Hotel is not a NEW four star but nice, clean, quiet and romantic. Just what a get-away should be.
"Within Walking distance to everything!"
You will not need your car after you arrive. This little gem of a hotel is located right in the heart of it all. The General store is across the street to the back, one of the best breakfast places in town is right around the corner and a straight shot down 5th will bring you to an awesome deli. The bed was very comfy, the room was incredibly clean […] and cosy. Will be coming back to stay here again. We could not have asked for more. Devamı
"Perfect Location"
This hotel was a gem. The rooms where clean and comfy and right within walking distance to everything. This was exactly what we were after and more. right behind the hotel was a general store, and a short walk down fifth was the most amazing deli. I think this hotel is need of a major remodel. The paint on the walls look old although that's how the paint was supposed to look? No major channels on tv. Not to mentioned the tv is very old school with vcr?? it's 2011 people shouldn't hotels have flat screens with dvds? I'm just saying. Carmel, CA is very expensive on hotels, I think this town needs […] to remodel to be able to charge as much as they do. for what I paid I thought I deserved a better stay. Devamı
"Good location, could use upgrade"
I have stayed in this hotel several times over the years, it is in a great location and the people at the front desk are always helpful. However, the rooms are in need of an upgrade. The last time I was there I thought they were spakling the walls for painting, but they were not! They left a dizzying array of odd-colored spakle all over the walls, painting […] one color would be a huge improvement. Windows had black mold on the edges and the new coffee set up had so little coffee in the packet, even when I put in one cup of water it was as weak as tea. The whole room could use some help,although the bathroom is still great. Do you have CO2 detectors in the room? Hopefully some upgrades can be made, we used to enjoy this hotel but may not be back. We spent there only one night, and couldn't sleep because of loud people passing by. The neighborhood is placed in a convenient location, but for the price we paid, we felt we could have at least had a good night rest.

This is a poorly maintained property. Our room (#308) was musty smelling, with a fake fireplace that didn't work, a closet that was blocked by the fake fireplace, a bed that should have been replaced years ago, and furnishings and decor in obvious need of disposal. Would not stay here again. The only positive was the price.
"Great hotel"
This is a very nice hotel in a great location, within walking distance to everything you would want to see in Carmel. I have stayed here many times over the years and been happy with my stay. However, I am hoping they are remodeling/painting the rooms, there was orange spackle all over the walls, very dizzying to look at. I am not sure if they think […] this is artistic or hopefully will be painting it! Also, this time the coffemaker and frig were in the closet, not the armoire, not sure about that either? They expect you to hang your clothes over the coffeemaker, I moved it to another table in the room! Hopefully, again, they are remodeling. Otherwise, everything was great. Devamı
"Carmel Oaks"
Not the worst place I've ever stayed, but definitely a contender. Wi-Fi virtually non-existent. It would have been a nice feature since it was raining hard throughout the visit. Didn't watch TV, a cheap CRT set in need of serious replacement. The tiny refrigerator was on the floor of the open closet (where you would typically put a suitcase. Coffee […] maker on top of the refrigerator. One suitcase stand, an unfinished "table" draped with a cloth. The breakfast was the worst I've ever seen: green bananas, dry repackaged cereal, 2 small granola bars, a couple of cheap pastries, plastic flatware and a napkin. Fortunately there are several places nearby where you can get a decent breakfast. The bathroom was very nice: tiled, clean and completely unlike the rest of the room. Devamı
"Cozy & good location"
The only reason I showed a 4 rating regarding satisfaction was that there was some construction going on to upgrade a portion of the property. We did not experience any inconvenience and there was no early morning noise. So, no complaints at all.
"Don't stay here on a cold night"
When I arrived the room was clean and ready but very cold. The heater in the room did not work properly and the cable tv was not working. At this point I asked to change rooms and they told me no they would fix everything promptly. After many trips in and out of my room they finally found a working space heater to give me. They should have just moved […] me to another room when I asked. Don't stay here on a cold Carmel night. My worst stay ever in a beautiful place that I visit often. Devamı
"Breakfast Basket!"
Extremely nice desk clerk. Clean room. Not really a 4-star hotel but definitely in a 4-star location! Rather than set up an entire breakfast buffet, they provide a basket full of goodies setting outside your door each morning. Very cool!

Parking was very difficult to manuever, inside the room the windows did not function properly, were old and moldy and should be replaced. The mattress was so soft it made our backs hurt and the decorative pillows had a very musty odor and should have been replaced. my husband and i used this hotel while doing a road trip around california, we had just completed the 17 mile drive at pebble beach and wanted to break our journey we thought the hotel was in a lovely place carmel is beautiful there were plenty of shops and restaurants, i was not happy with the strange wall and ceiling decor which looked like paint […] had been stripped off and left , but i think it was a deliberate artistic design, but it made the room quite claustrophobic but it was clean, probably just personal taste and i would stay there again also there were only blinds at the window which did not quite cover all the window and i would have preferred curtains plenty of free parking and close to shops and restaurants Devamı
"Nice room for the money!"
The Continental Breakfast was not until 8:00-8:30 am. which is late for early-risers. It was brought to the room in a basket, however, which was a nice touch. And the TV was located in an awkward spot if you like to watch it in bed. Other than that the hotel was comfortable and pleasant.
"Cheap and convenient"
A very convenient location by the shops and restaurants and close to the beach too. Smallish TV for those who care - I certainly didn't but my partner did!!

El personal del Hotel bastante seco. El parking pequeño, pero el resto, bien y muy bien ubicado
Såg betydligt trevligare ut på bilderna än vad det var. Vi kom dit sent på kvällen och skulle åka dagen därpå, det funkade då. Men jag skulle inte välja detta hotell om jag ska stanna flera dagar i Carmel.
"Frühstück"
Das Frühstück ist inklusive. Leider wird nicht erwähnt, dass das Frühstück sehr spärlich ausfällt. zudem wird es in einem Picknickkorb vor der Hoteltüre abgestellt und man muss das Frühstück in dem eher kleinen Hotelzimmer einnehmen.
superbe petit hotel, extrement bien placé. Personnel attentif, chambre trés vaste(petit appartement). Le lieu est splendide. Des arbres, des écureuils et de petites allées qui menent vers une plage splendide....

Very close to Ocean Drive in Carmel yet very quiet. Good parking fascilities on the yard. Warm welcome. Not the fanciest of hotels but clean and good value for money for a couple of nigths stay.

"Fantastic location"
This hotel is located just in the middle of this very small town. We can for sure recommend to visit Carmel By the Sea - it's a real experience.
Bra pris, läge och rum. Mysig veranda en trappa upp. Kaffebryggare och kyl på rummet. Gratis parkering och internet. Rekomenderas som ett budgetalternativ.

Das Hotel war an sich ja in Ordnung. Wir waren nur vom Ort Carmel total enttäuscht. Es mag zwar ein romantischer Ort sein, als Europäer stellt man sich das aber anders vor: es gibt keine gemütlichen Bars oder Cafes am Hafen und es gibt kein einziges Restaurant mit zumindest einer Vorspeise und 30 USD! Nächstes Mal würden wir noch 10 min weiterfahren […] und in Monterey übernachten, das mit Cannery Row und Aquarium sicherlich mehr zu bieten hat als Carmel. Devamı
