Hilton Manchester Deansgate - Manchester

This Hilton hotel is in a great position close to the busy Castlefield area and the shops of Deansgate. The executive lounge is fantastic, and the Cloud 23 worth a visit for spectacular views. Our room was comfortable, the only letdown was the quality of the toiletries, which were poor. Recommened.

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday we stayed here a few years ago and had an amazing time. We stayed in an executive room which was stunning especially the bed and the views however we were both a little disappointed with the executive lounge as the hours were limited and it was extremely busy.

The Hilton on Deansgate is in a great location for a visit to Manchester... The room we had was fine, with great views. Cloud 23 bar is one helluva expensive gimmick. 1 small bottle of Peroni & a vodka & cranberry was over £13.50. The views were fab, but I'd avoid Cloud 23 next time... My sister, daughters and myself had a lovely stay for one of my daughters Hen Weekend, the room, beds amenities and service were great, but we were very disappointed that we had to wait in a very long queue for the Cloud Bar and that hotel guests were not able to enter as in any other hotel we have stayed in, we did not know this until check in and […] it is not publicised that the 'Policy' changed last year - apparently you can book (which you do not expect when you are staying there) but the booking desk had closed and is only open 12.00 - 50pm! It did spoil things as we had planned to meet up there with a few others for cocktails and make it special for my daughter and had to quickly change plans so it was very disappointing. For a 4 star hotel, very disappointed. The room we had been allocated had a large unsightly stain on the carpet just in front of the bathroom door. We asked to be moved to another room. The second room was no better. There were what looked very much like bloodstains on the carpet beside the bed, the lampshade was broken and the light didn't work. We stayed 2 nights for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We had a wonderful time. It wasnt the most comfortable bed, but the room was large and beautiful. The staff was absolutely lovely and we would definitely return!

I wondered why I had been given a room with disabled or elderly aids. My sons room was beside lift shaft so they could hear the lift going up and down for most of the night. Also it says nothing on Hotel details to suggest that you may have to wait up to an hour to access Cloud 23 Bar, one of the main reasons for staying. We had an amazing time and you really felt like you were in a grand hotel. the selling point of this hotel is the sky bar on the 24th floor, which gives you a 360 degree view of manchester, which is a must. Really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. I stayed there on Easter Sunday to celebrate a friends birthday. We chose the Hilton because of it's central location. I could not fault the service; quick check in, guest list arranged for the Cloud 23 bar, taxi booked for my journey by the hotel and complimentary late check out arranged.

On check-in we were offered a reasonable chargeable upgrade to an Exec room, which we took. Room was a good size and offered great views across the city. The Cloud23 bar is worth a visit, though annoyingly only accessible via a special lift on the ground floor. There was not enough lifts to cater for the hotel. We were waiting 30 minutes for a lift that had room to get down as there were no stairs apart from the fire exit. The windows didn't open to let any fresh air in

As a couple we visit Manchester a lot, we usually stay at the Malmaison or with friends. For the weekend of 16/17 Feb we chose the Hilton instead. We hadn't visited the Cloud 23 bar before so were keen to check it out on the night of our stay. We paid over £200 for one night at the hotel, it was Valentines weekend so think this pushed prices up. We […] arrived to be told the concierge was full and we had to park elsewhere. We weren't helped with our bags or welcomed at all. We asked about Cloud 23 bar and were told we had to queue with everyone else. We weren't told upon booking the room we had to reserve a table so hadn't done so; we also know others have stayed there and were told guests have access to a separate lift; we were told this wasn't the case by the receptionist and there was one way up only. The room itself was nice with a lovely view but unbearably hot! It was uncomfortable to get ready in and the air con was pathetic. By the time we got down to the foyer the queue for Cloud 23 was out of the door, so we never visited it which I was very disappointed about. I had about 2 hours sleep as the room was stifling. This comes from someone who is ALWAYS cold! Needless to say we couldn't wait to leave and shan't be returning. Very poor value for money. Devamı

I had called the hotel as soon as the booking was confirmed and requested an early (midday) check-in. On arrival, the early check-in was not on the system. After a bit of insisting, a room was found, but I doubt it was the room I had paid for.The room was comfortable, but some maintenance issues - knob for bathroom lock missing, for example.

The hotel was gorgeous and really well cleaned etc, staff were very nice and helpful. The only issues we really had were that the hotel was a bit of a walk from some places in town such as Piccadilly Gardens and the Printworks area but it wasn't so far that it wasn't do-able. Also the room we had (504) didnt have the best view ever, since it was low […] down and on the same side as another building right in front but apparently you can ask the hotel in advance for a higher floor. the bathroom and room facilities though were excellent for what we booked, which was just their basic most standard room avaliable. had a lovely stay! Room could have been cleaner. Leisure centre required end of day tidy up. Room Service had 1 hour waiting. Location excellent for Old Trafford.

Great hotel and location in Manchester and enjoyed the use of the pool and steam room. Only draw back is that more priority should be given to paying quests for use of the sky bar as we were told we had to join a 20 minute queue which we couldn't be bothered to do so headed out to Deansgate instead.

This is a physically impressive hotel and at the higher end of Hilton standards. All the staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast was worth the extra cash. The hotel is a bit out of the main city centre but the free bus means its only a problem at night. Do visit the people's museum a reminder from history that the Tory party is the party of the […] rich. One downside of the stay is that wifi is charged in the room at rip off rates. This was a convenient location, easy to get to, and to visit central Manchester. The hotel is very modern and clean, the room spacious and the cocktail bar on the 23rd floor attractive. The only real negative of our stay was that the hotel was cold. Positiontioned perfectly along deansgate. Staff were very helpful when I was collecting my things from my car to bring into hotel, concierge service was full but they were still very helpful. Ice and shoe cleaners on every floor which I thought was a nice touch and the bar on 23rd floor is very nice, but after I left the hotel and had a few drinks and […] tried to enter again, I was told "no" as I was too drunk - bit annoying as I wasn't and had left a previous bar earlier to drink here. My stay was alright. However, at Check-out on the 10 Jan morning, I was told that the hotel had had a system error when they were scanning my card at check in on the 07 Jan afternoon to take a " hold" amount for any "incidentals" incurred during our stay.I was quite shocked as no prior information was given me. No one had informed me about this during […] our stay. It transpired that they had "charged" my card 19 times for an amount of GBP 150. This amounted to GBP 2,850/-. This with other previous amounts charged to this card had now exceeded my allowed credit and my card was now put on "hold by the card comapany. The hotel assured me that they would advise the card company to reverse these entries, but up to today 13 Jan my card is still blocked. I have been on numerous calls to both the hotel and my card company but have not had any success. This has put me into a lot of inconvenience and of course a waste of time and effort. The indifference and non professional attitute of the hotel is amazing. No offer of any compensation for this mistake of theirs has yet been offered. All that the incidentals amounted to during our stay was GBP 50/- as they room tariff was pre-paid by me. Devamı

Had to move rooms due to uncleanliness of first room. Poor facilities in swimming changing room. Bed very uncomfortable with broken springs. Spa staff unhelpful and not very well informed. Breakfast was good and reception and lobby staff very helpful.
