Hilton Garden Inn Portsmouth/Downtown - Portsmouth

We loved it there!! The only problem was that we were working on our daughter's yard and didn't have time to shop. Wish the stores were open earlier!! My birthday present to my husband was a quick drive to this destination town for a weekend of rest and fun. It was very easy. We drove in from Massachusetts to The Hilton Garden Inn and parked our car. There is a cost for this, but we could come and go at will. Tthe hotel is downtown and we never needed to drive anywhere. location, clean and good service.

Came in for a Wedding and this hotel was ideal for enjoying Portsmouth and the surrounding area.

the hotel is located almost in the center of town.Walking distance to every shop. the place is neat and clean.But, most of all quiet. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My only question is if I am staying at the hotel why do I have to pay to park?

My boyfriend and I love Portsmouth but we enjoyed it even more when we stayed here. I looked at the reviews prior to making my reservation. I can't say that I shopped around in the area for deals, but I was very happy with the price I paid for my 2 night St. Patrick's Day weekend there. The staff were all incredibly helpful and polite, the facilities were well maintained and clean. My only complaint, more of a comment than a complaint, would be that I was told upon my arrival that all parking […] was by valet only, which added $15 per night per vehicle to my stay. Probably no more than had I paid for parking it myself somewhere, but it would have been nice to know this prior to arriving. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. Devamı

My experience was fantastic, i have stayed in a lot of hotels in the past but the staff was so friendly, the hotel was gorgeous and the beds were so comfortable, there is no complaint here. Even the price was decent. THUMBS UP!

Easy walk to the local eateries and shops, convenient to highway and Route 1 without being noisy. Nice pool, decent exercise room, decent lounge and breakfast. Poor WiFi on upper floor end of corridor, valet only parking. Will go again.

Nice Hotel, pleasant staff, clean room, comfortable, great location where you can walk to all local attractions. Only downside is no on site parking, they will valet park for you and or a daily fee. We parked next door at the parking structure for $15 a day.

We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in the past and have been satisfied. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the room smelled moldy. The air was awful, and both of us found the mattress to be uncomfortable. Its too bad the location is great, but if you can't sleep well, why bother.

Loved the comfort, convenience, and accomodations at this hotel. Will definitely return!

We stayed for business at this hotel. Portsmouth is very fun city, lots of great restaurants and shops. Close to everything. We walked everywhere we needed to go, including the post office. The hotel has live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. The rooms were comfortable for the most part except for the pillows. I'm pretty picky about pillows. […] The beds were very nice. My husband and I went to Portsmouth for the weekend, although we were both suffering from a bad cold we enjoyed our time at the Hilton Garden Inn. The room was very clean, staff were very friendly, willing to go out of their way. The breakfast was very good. The location couldn't be better, a short walk to everything. I really can't say anything bad about this place... its the second time staying here, and everything was great both times. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, the front desk staff and valet were very helpful and courteous. Next time I go to Portsmouth I will definitely stay here.

If you want a less expensive, non-bed and breakfast place to stay, this is a good choice. Very clean. Nice desk service. Valet parking if you don't want to self-park literally across the street. This is "chain business hotel" clean and tidy. Mid-level room was AOK with microwave and small fridge. The room had a "view" but was not such a great view. We loved the hotel. The room was nice, the breakfast was good, and convenient. We were very happy with the valet parking, but it looked like that cost was included in the package. It was a surprise to see the seperate charge at checkout. Overall, we would stay again - but read the fine details of the package.

Have stayed at this Hilton Garden for the past few years. Staff is always warm and accessible and property is right where you want to be.

Everything expected. Courteous friendly staff, great location to just walk around and enjoy Portsmouth, easy to find. Great comfy room (amazing king bed), and nice shower. Overall, couldn't be happier, it met or exceeded every expectation.

We stayed here during my sister's bachelorette party. It's the perfect location in downtown with close proximity to anywhere you want to go. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful!

I recently stayed here for my 25th birthday! We had such an amazing time. The hotel was great. We got to check-in early and the valet parking was a major perk. Thank you so much for an amazing time in Portsmouth!!

Great hotel in Downtown Portsmouth. Friendly staff, great rooms, valet parking. Free coffee in the morning, 1 minute walk to the heart of Downtown Portsmouth.

The staff at this hotel is always excellent. From the front desk, to the housekeeping and valet attendants - everyone is welcoming and accommodating!

We stayed at the Hilton over the holidays and were delighted with everything except the beds. Our queen bed was just not comfy--nor were the pillows. Waking up every hour or so to try to find a comfortable position left us kind of cranky in the morning. When it comes right down to it, the bed's maybe the most important thing in a hotel room.

My wife and I arrived Tuesday before Thanksgiving for a 1 day vacation. This Hotel is super convenient right in the heart of Portsmouth. It is very close (only a few short blocks) to shops and restaurants. Valet parking made arrival totally simple and room was comfortable. Comfortable and clean hotel. Front desk staff were nice but not overly helpful. Pool and hot tub were clean but stark - good for families, but nothing romantic. Work out room did not offer head phones but had good equipment and was very clean. Convenience of downtown was paramount and best reason to stay at this hotel.
