Lan Kwai Fong hotel was extremely convenient. It was easy to find and located in bustling central HK. It was near great restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing, including the famous escalators. The room is very small and uncomfortable. Eventhough we had requested a non-smoking room , we have been given a smoking room and it stinks. We were given a room for disabled perons with a large bathroom room with a very very small sleeping area that you can only open your luggages on your bed! Central location in Central HKG on with feHKG island w meters to Soho bar and dining area, charming Gatham street and just minutes away from Peak Tram and Star ferries to Kowloon. The Lan Kwai Fong hotel is a smart but reasonably-priced hotel right in the centre of Hong Kong. With a modern take on traditional chinese styling, it looks better than your average cookie-cutter business hotel, and service is a notch up the scale too. The immediate streets around the hotel aren't terribly prepossessing, but that's all part of being […] in central Hong Kong, and the hotel itself is none the worse for it. My room would have been a touch on the small side for two, but by contrast the bathroom was quite generous. Unlike some of the other hotels I've stayed at in HK, the plumbing was fully-functional too (no problems with water pressure in the shower). A huge fruit bowl in the bedroom was a nice touch and meant I didn't have to go looking (or paying) for breakfast. Throughout the hotel, the staff were friendly, helpful and ready to chat. Hotel is well-located near Hong Kong/Shanghuan/Central stations. Nice to walk around with lotsa of yummy eateries and vibrant nightlife.

This hotel is in a great location for walking to the sights and public transportation alternatives. Rooms were small but well maintained and a good price for Hong Kong. We paid extra for a view of the harbor and it was worth it.

Service is good but Don't forget turn off air condition before sleep.

The hotel is not a 4 star hotel, even though is in a good location, it is really a 3 star hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are very small, the gym is a joke, in other words, there is no really a gym.

While not located in the action as the "other Lan Kwai Fong Hotel" is (so make sure you know where you are booking) it is very well located to access and explore Central and Western districts and likely quieter being on a residential cul de sac. Clean, well appointed rooms (though small), helpful staff - all good. Free shuttle to the Airport Express […] terminal in Central made for hassle free departure. Right in the heart of things in the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. Plenty of bars and cheap eats around the hotel albeit some a little too authentic to the truly westaen palate!! Harbour view very distant and not worth paying extra for.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. Great location if you don't mind walking up and down hilly but not an easy one for taxi. Lovely harbor views if you choose one of those rooms. Small rooms even for Hongkong. I didn't mind though. Tasteful decoration. Pleasant stay overall.

This hotel had a great location and the service staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Appreciated the free shuttle service to/from the airport express train. A suggestion would be to add a power outlet above the desk to plug in a laptop. The plug is inconviently located under the desk and the hotel telephone had to be unplugged […] in order to insert the laptop plug. Devamı

The hotel is well located in the financial district which provides good access to the Hollywood Road antique shops, restaurants, markets and public transport. Mind you, you do need to be a bit of a mountain goat to walk around this part of town. The hotel was with very good location, do not miss the sushi bar which is only one street above the hotel on the left side, we were in a business trip and the hotel was perfect for us, just 3 minutes from the MTR, many bars and restaurants, good service in the hotel, shuttle bus to the hk main station, I have been many times in hk and that was the best […] thanks to the hotel location and service. Clean, nice deco, very good location, very good rates!

We had smallest room on our floor but got it at good price so not a major concern. Views over HK harbour were breath taking. I appreciated the smoking area on the 4th floor as you could look over edge to see the alley way and HK people going about there business which was interesting. Staff were wonderful and friendly although a bit differcult at times […] with language differences. Sheets changed and room cleaned daily. Prices for meals were reasonable as compared to other HK restaurants. Lifts a little slow. We were on 30th floor and took a while to get down. Bottled water supplied free of charge. Our fridge broke down and was replaced while we were sight seeing. Hotel could benefit from brochures of places to visit in lobby. Wifi free from hotel lobby room on ground floor. Easy access to MTR system which is amazing in HK. Trams, buses etc just down one level to main street. I loved my stay there. Devamı

This is a great hotel for the price, especially because most hotels in the central city area are super expensive... Location: very close (10m walk) to the Central subway station, which includes Airport Express and a couple other major lines. There is also a hotel shuttle that takes you to the airport train station for free. Also close to some major […] tourist attractions like Victoria Peak Tram and Lan Kwai Fong, which is misleading because the hotel is NOT actually in Lan Kwai Fong as the name suggests. Neighborhood: Not the best... kind of dirty with a lot of street vendors and litter, but seems safe enough. If you walk toward town for 5 mins it gets nicer. Lots of eateries and city-life buzz nearby. Lobby: free wifi which is nice. Not in the rooms though. Overall kept pretty clean, had no issues with that. The staff are very nice and most speak english well enough to answer basic questions. Rooms: small but very good for asian standards. Big enough to walk around without tripping on your suitcase (which is usually what I experience in most European and Asian hotels). The decor is very nice, they go for kind of a modern/trendy-oriental look. There's a safe in the room. Gym: clean but small with couple of treadmills, all-in-one weight machine, some free weights. Enough for a short stay. Never saw anyone else in there so I'm sure the machines are always available. Thinks there's also a restaurant but never went, with all the cheap eateries available in the area. Overall, had a good stay and would return, though it's more for people who are looking for a comfortable stay for a good deal. The Lan Kwai Fong hotel is a moderately-priced gem in pricey Hong Kong. It is in a good location - felt perfectly safe walking in that neighborhood, even at night, and an easy walk to the Star Ferry and the Peak Tram. This is a decent hotel in a superb location. The rooms aren't incredible, but they are comfortable, clean and equipped with everything you need. The location, however, is fantastic! Walking distance from all the shops, bars and clubs in Central and with easy access to all the transport links. Staff were very helpful too.

The Lan Kwai Fong is consistently good and the location cannot be beat. Only issue is that they stint on things like bathroom products... I always bring my own.

The only place I stay when I go to HKG. Its a great location and room rates are competitive. 5 mins walk from MRT and very close to Central/Soho area.

The location of the hotel was great but the room is too small for 2 persons,and there is no wi fi for free a true need for a 21 century

Clean, very good housekeeping service, comfortable beds but a bit small, Room and beds are much smaller than appear in picture on hotels.com but are probably typical of Hong Kong. A bit pricey for location but nice view from 28th flr. Slight complaint with the fact of our selection from hotels.com, harbour view , 2 beds, was not secured by prepaying […] online. Were told that room is not what we chose. They claim the room we chose with hotels.com was basic 1 bed room. Had to argue and complain for 20 minutes to get the upgrade to the room i paid for. Hotel was in a great location on Hong Kong Island & also within easy walking distance to the Central & Sheung Wan MTR lines. Comfortable room, friendly staff & excellent service.

This hotel provides an oasis of quiet and comfort just minutes from the vibrant street scene of Wellington Street and other nearby 'eat streets' as well as the facinating shops on Hollywood Road. Nothing actually wrong with the place, but nothing to write home about either. Rooms are quite small, as others have noted, and the carpet/furniture looks worn out. You have to get higher than the 25th floor, maybe much higher, to really see the water. The gym is tiny and poorly equipped, the breakfast buffet extremely expensive for what you get -- […] about $22 US for scrambled eggs that sat there for a while and a few things on the side. I travel to Hong Kong often and have paid less for much more for breakfast in other less "boutique" places. My biggest gripe was being placed first in a smoking room that was on the lowest floor that qualified for the water view (which I had paid for). I wonder if this happens to me (a woman) more often than men?? They knew I was on business and checking the hotel for the first time and yet they placed me in a really crummy room until I complained. When moved to a much less stinky room two floors higher, there was a plate of fruit there as well, waiting for what must have been a more important guest? This has got to be the smallest hotel room on the planet! I'm only 5'9" and my feet are dangling from the bed. The bath tub is closer to a bird bath in size. Its a pity because the location is fabulous and staff are friendly... I guess they have to be with the hotel size they are offering. Anyone new to HK wont realise that there are two Lan Kwai Fong hotels relatively close to one another... the other one is known as the "nice one"! This isnt a bad hotel, but it doesnt deserve 4 stars. It is a solid 3 star. My room was significantly smaller than the photos from the website suggested. However the room was comfortable and functional […] but nothing fancy. If you like a room with character, then there are lots of HK style craft works in the rooms around the mirrors, doors, etc which was a bit fun. Oh and they seem to LOVE mirrors! Devamı

We were on a cruise ship around the world & due to it tendering instead od docking as stated in the brochure we decided to book 3 rooms here. The check-in process was reasonably quick and the staff could not be more helpful. We were given our rooms one by one as we were slightly early for the check-in. The lift was quite fast as we were all on different […] floor and high up, 2x ex large doubles and a suite. The rooms were quite small however spotless. The bathrooms were also clean and the showers worked great. Room service was very slow and had to be reminded wich was slow too!! Hotel is hand for the peak tram. Beware there are two hotels named very similar and the taxis will take you to the other hotel every time, give them the address also. We were given a bottle of red wine for the eve & a fruit basket for breakfast in the morning. If I was to vist again with my Boston princess by my side we would stay over on Nathan Road nearer the high end shops! instead we had to take the Star ferry over. Devamı

This hotel is well-situated, walkable or short taxi ride to all of central offices and to LKF/SoHo area, IFC Mall (where you can also check in for excellent airport train). It' so frustrating wen hotels make you pay for internet these days. It's such a small thing that immediately grates on every guests nerves. On site eating options not sure about - says Michelin starred but there are SO many good restaurants within walking distance, not a prob and for those wanting goo Western breakfast there's also a Pret (and Starbucks if you must) just down the hill. I came over from a week in Shangri-La Singapore so was naturally little crestfallen but it actually does a job. Just don't expect all the space, amenities and slick operation of the Shangri-La in this place and it's solid choice. Tiny hotel room with below average service. Granted it was the rugby 7's weekend but for the money that it cost us, I have to say that I would never stay there again. Space is at a premium in Hong Kong, and one guide book described the hotel as "relatively spacious." The room was small but well appointed and clean. The hotel was quiet. The Breeze lounge / restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The food was good and interesting, but the location was great. On a fourth floor outdoor terrace, you get a nice sense of space […] along with an outdoor atmosphere of Hong Kong. The hotel is near the central escalator so there is easy access to the Central MTER stration, the Central Ferry piers and the Mid-levels. This hotel was pretty sweet... Perfect location for getting around the city and walking to a lot of stuff. The area around is pretty fun for a little nightlife on the weekends. I'm surprised people complained about the noise, must be light sleepers! What sums it up for me is that I plan on going back so long as the prices stay reasonable. We stayed here for two nights and it was a pleasant experience. They provide free shuttle pick up from / to Hong Kong Central station. Within 10 minutes walk to the nearest MTR station, but we got lost in our first attempt because of the way the hotel is situated, I wish they had provided us with "turn-by-turn" walking direction cheat sheet to the MTR […] station. We love the beautiful oriental-styled decoration of the room, the size was comfortable enough for the two us to move around, it has big windows with beautiful view of the harbor from 30th floor.
