My fiance and myself stayed for long weekend. Overall we were pleased about the place but couple of issues was not up to our satisfaction. The postcode which sent it to us on our booking took us nearby village! Not exactly to place. The room we requested at booking was double bed but when we arrived to room there was one double and one single bed! And there was no much space left at the room! The room was smelling humidity heavily and the central heating was not working. Luckily we got small radiator from very helpful In-charge lady. Another surprising thing was on sunday morning we woke up with fire alarm which was strongly sounding at whole mansion around 8.30am! So we ran out the building with all other guests and stayed for 10mins. It wasn`t really pleasant to wake up on sunday morning. By the way, the mansion is perfect location for quiet, peaceful weekend. Outdoor jacuzzi at garden and walking distance forest make more attractive also. The food served at breakfast was quiet tasty and many options. We recommend to everyone.

it was certainly comfortable, neat, large rooms.and maybe more quiet if you stay outside the main building which is almost the next house. the staff was increadibly helpfull, try to answer all your questions. only a few bus stop away from the center of the city. (takes 1.20 £) , otherwise with taxi 6 or 7 £ far away. great breakfast, you get exactly what you expect from an english breakfast..

We were as a group of 13 people and really enjoyed staying here. Do not think it is far a way from the city central, it's just a 10 min bus ride and the last stop is just 100 meters from the hotel. Plus, there is a 24-hour-open supermarket that you can find everything you wish just very near the hotel. Everything was wonderful there, and I will definitely stay there again if I visit Edinburgh for the second time.

Lovely hotel...helpfull staff...would go again
Fire alarm went off @ 7am Sunday morning, caused by steam from a shower in a guest's room. No signs in bathroom to tell people to keep bathroom door shut! Maybe they will following our suggestion!

"A very relaxing weekend"
Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and of a high quality. We used the bus just outside the Hotel/Country Club gate to get into Edinburgh City centre and that worked fine for us as we didn't want the hassle of parking in the city. We went for New Year's Eve and had an amazing time. The Dalmahoy only served to increase the enjoyment and aid relaxing […] in the mornings with a light swim and a sauna. I think it was only on the Bank holiday Monday that the pool was not ready for use in the morning due to a lack of chlorine. Devamı
"Really friendly staff- lovely pool"
We stayed for 2 nights with our noisy 18mth old daughter. The hotel was comfortable although perhaps a little dated in the decor for our liking. What made our stay so enjoyable and comfortable however were the really friendly helpful smiley staff who made us feel special whatever chaos we were creating with our family! Nice hotel on the outskirts of the city. Slightly tired decor in places but still a good quality hotel. Breakfast excellent and nice pleasant staff. Leisure club restaurant is in need of upgrading but food and staff good.
"Pleasant surrounds - great for golf"
Fairly standard chain hotel rooms, in very pleasant surrounds. Excellent for golfers. Very busy. Long wait for breakfast table -food overcooked.
"Quiet location"
Good points: Lovely Hotel in lovely surrounds. Large spacious rooms. Staff polite and helpful Negative points: The first room we were given was above the laundy. 7.30am laundry delivery truck arrived right ouside our window. From then on there was loud talking and banging as staff worked below us. This continued on till about 8.30am so no more sleep […] for us. Staff were very understanding when I asked to be shifted for the second night. We were shifted onto the top floor and it was lovely and quiet so we slept well. Devamı

grand looking building, great golf course, very nice hotel but too far from Edinburgh centre for my purposes on this occassion
A great balance of old elegance/castle and up to date modern rooms with good comfort. golf was excellent and fitness center ist rate. A bit ouf of the way which is good for relaxing but nothing nearby to do. Food was excellent but pricey and limited optiond to eat in neighborhod. a good break between cities for us
"Dalmahoy Edinburgh - A Pleasure Every Visit"
Whether a pamper, a spa, golf or shoping in Edinburgh or Livingston outlets this is the place for you. You feel in the middle of the country but close to the city and all that it has to offer. The staff made us feel well looked after without being intrusive. I visit at at least once a year, just because I want to!

"Marriott in Dalmahoy"
The Hotel is set in magnificent grounds and surrounded by two fine golf courses. Although this was the venue for the first playing of the Solheim Cup in Europe, I could not find even one Photo of the event, or a single piece of memorabilia. The rooms are clean and well appionted, but the hotel has experienced 3 phases of redevelopment and various extensions […] have been added 'piece meal'. This has resulted in long corridors and passageways, many with stairs going from one level to another. Directional signs are poor and in many cases non existent. The staff was professional and very courteous. The mail Restaurant serves food of a very high standard and reasonably priced. Overall a very pleasant stay and I could recommend warmly. Devamı
"Needs Improvement"
This hotel looks like you will be spending your time in an old castle or manor. But the rooms are in an attached wing with no charm at all. To get to your rooms you have to go through various corridors, up and down stairs to get to the elevator and it was a confusing endeavor. The TV movie menu in our room did not work. "Very nice hotel"
Hotel is set in a lovely location close to Edinburgh. Park and ride is 3 miles away and is recommended for easy access into the City. The delux room we stayed in was very clean and had a huge comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. "Parfait"
Un très bon hôtel, bar cosy (un peu surchauffé), bon golf. Il faut compter environ 15 livres de taxi depuis le centre d'Edimbourg ou 2.60 livres avec le bus (arrêt devant l'hôtel). personnel agréable (à l'exception d'un receptioniste croisé quelques fois dans le week-end). Je n'ai pas aimé l'odeur des serviettes.

Trevligt hotell utanför Edinburgh, man måste ta sig dit med bil men när man väl är där är det omgivet av fin natur och golfbanor. Stor härlig frukost.

Hotellet var fint og tilfredsstilte våre forventninger i stor grad. Har derimot inntrykk av at Norges hotellstandard ligger over de fleste andre lands, og at et fire stjerners hotell i utlandet ikke nødvendigvis tilsvarer et firestjerners hotell i Norge. Hotellet er som nevnt flott, men bærer preg av å være et påbygg og å skulle være mange ting på en […] gang - hotell, sportsklubb, golfklubb, butikk osv.. Enkelte deler trenger en oppgradering og små detaljer avslører at ikke alt har fått den omsorgen det fortjener. Superfornøyd med fantastisk service og hyggelige mennesker hvor enn man gikk. Strålende frokostbuffè i vakre omgivelser. Også veldig god mat i hotellets restaurant. Mindre fornøyd med hotellets kafè, relativt dårlig mat til en dyr penge. Lokalene her trenger en oppgradering! Rommet var fint, med en stor og kjempedeilig seng! Badet kunne nok med fordel blitt oppgradert, fra umoderne badekar med dusjforheng (!) til for eksempel dusjkabinett, og det luktet som om rommet hadde fuktskader. Skulle ønske hotellet hadde satset på turløyper i det fanstastiske området i tillegg til de store golfarealene!! Devamı

"woodland relaxing hotel"
a hotel for them that have a car as edinburgh is not on your doorstep. make sure you dont get a room on the 1st floor as this is the main route to the bar!
