Hotel Du Lac - Bellagio

I loved Lake Como, and the Hotel Du Lac in Belaggio. So full of charm, and such a great location. Facing the ferry terminal and very close to the other ferry terminal that has boats coming in from Varenna (where you get off the train) which I arrived at and departed from. Only pity was I did not get a view of the lake (I thought I had read on somewhere […] that all rooms offer this). The only hotel of three in Italy I stayed in that offered tissue paper in the bathroom. And though it advertises that it offers complimentary wi-fi in communal areas, I could get a signal in my room. That was good. Also loved their service - on the last day I could not go for breakfast as I had to leave very early, and they actually did up a breakfast takeaway for me as requested. Devamı

The hotel is located very conveniently right across from the ferry dock. However, heavy ferry traffic can be noisy during the day and evening hours. It is an old hotel with modest amenities. It is expensive for what it offers. In addition, we had to pay extra for a room with a view of the lake. Directly opposite the ferry landing. A blessing when you are carrying luggage. Large room, though oddly configured with a king bed and a twin. Quiet when we visited, although that might be different in season. Excellent in every way. Staff was great and breakfast wonderful. Chef would prepare gluten free bread and meals. A bonus as my wife is a celiac.

Could not ask for a better location or view. The reception desk staff were knowledgeable, polite and very helpful. DInner at restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast is average. Clean room and bathroom except for hair on cloth headboard.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. so easy to access everywhere and Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. rooms are a bit basic compared to a 4 star in ireland but ti is a very clean hotel and had a lovely stay.

We stayed in room #2. We stayed in four hotels during our two week Euro-trip and this was by far the best. The service was great. The person at the desk led us to our room when we checked in like they do at most 5-star hotels, they were excellent with English (we are ignorant Americans, so this was super helpful!), and they were extremely helpful with […] things to do and the best ways to get around. The breakfast was also the best one we had on our trip (keeping in mind that European hotel breakfasts aren't very good generally), and the breakfast is set up in a beautiful room with an outdoor balcony overlooking the lake and mountains, and it was the only place on our trip with bacon and eggs! I'm not sure what all the rooms look like, so maybe we just got lukcy, but #2 was huge and had an amazing lake view. We paid a few extra bucks to guarantee the lake view (and maybe some of the extra charge was for a nicer/larger room?), and I would highly recommend doing the same if you can. It was also by far the largest room we stayed in. The bathroom was nice (for a mid-level European hotel) and large as well. The location is also great: The hotel is right down by the water in the center of Bellagio (FYI - after visiting all the other small towns we are even more convinced that Bellagio is by far the best location on the lake). Lastly, the Hotel's FREE sports club / pool was amazing. It requires a 10+ min walk or hopping in the hotel van (also free of charge), but it is absolutely worth it. They are doing themselves a huge disservice by not putting more emphasis on the quality of their pool / spots club. Both are amazing (very updated and clean) and reminded us of a high level country club in the U.S. It had a great pool (large, clean), spa, food, bar, nice changing rooms, awesome mountain views, etc. We didn't go check it out until our last day, but had we known it was so nice we definitely would have gone for a couple hours every day! Left a lot to be desired. Soft boiled eggs were hard boiled. Scrambled eggs were like water on top of serving tray. uffet was very limited and the same every day.

This is a very friendly little hotel, located in one of the most beautiful spots I've ever visited. The location is absolutely central in Bellagio, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and there is an overall good feeling. The rooms are quite small but reasonably comfortable, so for a short stay it worked fine.

My stay at Hotel du Lac was a delight despite bad weather for several days. The location was perfect for someone without a car as it is right at the ferry stop. I had a room overlooking the lake and ferry stop but the little noise of announcements stopped early in the evening and did not start until later in the morning. We had an incredible stay. The staff was extremely helpful with providing directions and help with train and ferry connections.

The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The location and view are wonderful. The restaurant offers a good menu at reasonable prices and the food is excellent. To sit out on the roof terrace with a glass of wine and to view the truly magnificent scenery is an absolute delight. We would love to return every year.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights at Hotel Du Lac in Bellagio, and it was wonderful!!! The hotel is located directly across Lake Como, and also directly across the main ferry stop. The staff is wonderful, the restaurant is surprisingly good for the price (and a discount for hotel guests!), and the room was modern, clean and comofortable. The hotel staff was extremely helpful in figuring out the best way for us to get from Bellagio to Malpensa Airport (Milan) in order to catch a 10am flight. All of the logistics were arranged by the hotel, and did not have to exchange any money with our eventual taxi driver. The hotel is beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the very generous breakfast buffet, which extends until 11:00. Unfortunately, we were unhappy that we were charged for one night because we had flight problems and were unable to use the room the first night. Perfect location right across the street from the boat dock. While we couldn't control the weather, the hotel was perfect for our 2 day stay. Bellagio offered the combination of walking, sight-seeing and shopping. What views. The staff were great, helpful and knowledgeable of the town, lake and region. One of the staff were from my home town so maybe […] I am a little biased! The hotel offerred a comprehensive breakfast with views of the lake. Other meals were available al fresco or inside. Go to the roof-top terrace for pictures and to study the lake. Visit the Meltzi Gardens and the Villa Sorbelloni up at the top of the village.Take the boats across the lake and have fun. Explore, explore, explore. It is Lake Como after all! Be aware of some flashy restaurants (the Palace) that charge a high coperto (seating charge) and play with the check unless challenged. Hotel service was great! However, we stayed in a non-view rooms which meant that we were looking directly into a wall. We did see one of the view rooms while we were there. I would strongly recommend spending the extra money for the view. You can't beat the location. We rented a car to drive to Bellagio and never used it once we got to the hotel.

The hotel is a simple but very nice hotel. Hte room is spacious, the service is very good, the location is the best and other things that are really good about it.

The hotel staff is very friendly, and all spoke English very comfortably. The common areas of the hotel were very nice, including the beautiful view from the roof and from the breakfast room. The location was great (but all the hotels in Bellagio are lined up across the main road on the water, so all of them are "convenient" from the ferry. However, […] the hotel was VERY LOUD at night. The rooms were hardly insulated, and you could hear every word in the hallway. I would definitely consider one of the other hotels if I were to return to Bellagio, for that reason alone. If you're looking for a clean hotel with a very central location [ferry, stores, other hotels], this is a good choice. We chose it over other places because it was so close to the ferry and the lake. Turns out it doesn't matter. All the hotels are super close together in Bellagio, so you are close to everything no matter where you stay. Unless you […] stay at the Grand Hotel Serbolleni with its amazing non-obstructed views of the lake - the lakeview is not that important in your hotel room. Having said that, we did not know we were signing up for a non-view room at this hotel on the lake [wasn't clear during the purchase process on hotels.com]. We were disappointed when we arrived and found no rooms with a view to upgrade to. There are no amenities at this hotel - no gym, no pool, no beach to the lake. It has a roofdeck you can sit on, but you'd rather sit outside in the cafe anyway. Has a relationship with a gym/spa nearby - but have to pay extra. The back room we got was rather small, and had an unusual arrangement out of necessity to fit a double bed in there - just enough room to squeeze by to the small "balcony" which looked out directly into the next building's hotel room window - we kept the curtain drawn for privacy the whole time. Room and bathroom were clean. However, the shower curtain/head arrangement meant that you could either (a) shower with good water pressure but create a flood, or (b) shower with piddly water pressure. Hotel has great location! Could be updated. lift is very slow. Air conditioning weak. Concierge very helpful. Breakfast good. Clean. Overall a winner. I would stay again. Location, location, location.

This hotel is so run down, I can't believe I stayed there. Felt old motel 6 that hasn't been updated since 1960! Mold and rotting door frames in bathroom. Housekeeping didn't clean toliet. Expensive for what you got. One plus-location. Don't stay if you can avoid it.

Glad I chose this hotel over others. The location was great and very nice front desk people. I upgraded to a lake view. The breakfast was great. I ate dinner at the hotel my first night and the osso buco was a bit fatty (maybe just not what I'm used to in America). Excellent hotel at an affordable price. Good location at the waterfront near the ferry landings. The half board option is an excellent value as their restaurant serves excellent food in a nice second floor location (inside and outside tables) overlooking the waterfront.

The Hotel du Lac is an older hotel with smallish rooms, but clean and well run, and the location can't be beat, on the lakefront in Bellagio. The restaurant is good, too, and a good buffet breakfast included in the price. Service is attentive and helpful.

I really wanted to love this hotel but the pillows were really hard. I don't think they were pillows at all some sort of hard cushion covered with pillow cases. My husband couldn't sleep they were so hard. The second night I took the extra blankets and put them in the pillow cases to try and get some sleep. We even saw other guest bring in their own […] pillows. This hotel would do itself and it's guest a big favor by getting new pillows. Devamı

The hotel staff are wonderful. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed returning to a nice, air conditioned room after a full day in the heat. The breakfast was great as well. One of the best locations in Bellagio!

This is an older hotel in a great location. It was a little pricey but we enjoyed our stay and would go there again.

Absolut keine Beanstandung ausser vielleicht, dass das mir zugeteilte Einzelzimmer sehr klein war und dass das anderweitig sehr reichhaltige Frühstück keinen "richtigen" Kaffee/Espresso anbot. Der Zimmerpreis ist evt etwas auf der hohen Seite, aber die Lage des Hotels "darf" dies verlangen.

Très bien situé. Chambre propre mais très vétuste , manque de confort. Petit déjeuner quelconque. Personnel peut agréable sauf à l'accueil.

Rien à dire sauf que nous avions une chambre sur une ruelle sans lumière et un peu bruyante

Super super beliggenhed centralt ved havnefronten i centrum af Bellagio, med en fremragende udsigt ud over Como søen og til bjergene (dog ikke udsigt fra mit værelse, men fra restauranten). Fin og varieret morgenmad. Værelset var lille og med et meget lille smalt badeværelse. På værelset kunne der høres en del "musikstøj" helt hen til efter midnat.

Since Hotel du Lac is right in front of the pier, one could expect some noise from the ferries. But during my stay, it was calm and peaceful day and night. The staff was helpful in giving advice about the local boats. The terrace on the top is ok for relaxing in the sun with practical sunbeds. But if you stay for a few days, it would be worthwile checking […] out the sport club w. pool and restaurant, which is available for the guests at Hotel du Lac. The room was well designed and spacious. The balcony was a great place to enjoy the scenery and enjoy a bottle of wine. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food and service were very good.If you are driving to the hotel, be sure to have a code in order to get into the town. Ett underbart hotell i en fantastisk liten stad!

Entree en bar op het gelijkvloers zijn zeer mooi en verzorgd. Dit staat in schril contrast met de ontbijtruimte op de eerste verdieping. Wel is waar een prachtig zicht maar zéér sober ingericht. In deze prijsklasse verwacht men toch iets anders.

Très agréable séjour dans cet hotel parfaitement placé au bord du lac qui plus est à Bellagio et en face de la station de traghetto. Calme la rue est peu passante et la station peu bruyante. Le personnel de l'hotel est très chaleureux et sympatique. Le restaurant excellent et le petit déjeuner fourni à prendre à convenance sur la terrasse qui donne […] directement sur le lac. lieu superbe ! Nous y reviendrons sûrement... Devamı
