Glamour Apartments - Milan 45.46462, 9.19442

We spent 3 nights at the Glamour Apartments in November '09 and have very mixed feelings about this place. When we first arrived, the taxi couldn't find it and dropped us off a few blocks away. It took considerable time to find the place. When we got there, there was no one available to let us into the apartment. It took about 20 minutes for someone to show up and he told us that he was unable to contact us so he didn't know what time we were arriving. The apartment he accompanied us to was shabby and run down and the wifi and faxphone worked sporadically, but poorly. The place was very well located and the two guys who run them are very nice and seem to be well-intentioned, but the place was a dump. After two days, the wifi stopped working and the phone was barely working, so we contacted the owner/manager (Marco) and he came over immediately and moved us to a much better apartment in his other building, directly across from the Duomo. That place was clean, new and fantastic. Everything was spotless and worked! It's just unfortunate we couldn't have stayed there for all 3 nights. Then I'd have only positive things to say about this place. So if you do choose to stay at the Glamour Apartments, be sure to find out ahead which of the buildings you're going to be in and which apartment. As well, there's no concierge on duty so if you have to book restaurants or museums, you're on your own. Very challenging if you don't speak Italian.

Hotel is very close to the Duomo, in a really convenient and good area. It's a private road, so you may not be able to find it that easily using a GPS. Makes a great base for exploring Milan.

While the location is spectacular, and the apartments are very large, there is absolutely no service other than cleaning. Also, it was quite complicated to get in. For this price, I would recommend one of the surrounding 4 star hotels in the area

We absolutely loved this hotel, like an apartment, so included a neat little kitchen area. New modern furnishings, very clean, and a spectacular view of the Duomo, about three blocks away. Easy to get there by train. Easy walking distance to the Galleria and Via della Spiga shopping. Lots of great little restaurants. Breakfast vouchers were included for a little place right around the block. Very yummy. You really feel like you are right in the heart of Milan. The person greeting us was great, went out of his way to help us make dinner plans. Great place!! We think a good deal for this area.

The only glitch we experienced was upon arrival. The manager was out for lunch and we had to work through a phone call to Hotels.com to have them return to check us in. Overall time wasted was a couple of hours. However, once he arrived all was well. The room was large, clean, great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Perfect location. If we return to Milan this is where we will stay again.

L'appartamento è in un punto strategico perfetto per chi si aggira in centro zona duomo, il confort sarebbe alto, la possibilità di parcheggiare ottima, la camera bella, ma mi ha deluso molto la pulizia, i divani erano macchiati e la mouquette sporca, avrebbe bisogno anche di una rimbiancata, insomma le potenzialità ci sono, ma è mal tenuto,
