Belmont Hotel - Dallas

I love places like this that revive a classic old motel and make it something fresh and modern. The accompaning restaurant Smoke was quite excellent, as well. I'd recommend it if you need to be in that part of Dallas.

Really enjoyed my stay at this renovated classic hotel. The place has a sort of "Chateau Marmont" vibe and -as it's up on a hill- offers a great view of downtown Dallas. The staff was very friendlly and the room was very clean. I stayed upstairs in the main building and the walls are a bit thin.. so I'd occasionally hear people in the hall.. but it […] wasn't too bad. If you plan on staying in Dallas for business this is NOT your hotel. The restaurant for breakfast is next door but not open until 8:00am. The gym, which is down the street, is open at 4:00am however the gate that is on the hotel side doesn't open until 7:00am! Which means you have to run down the street, in the dark, no sidewalk, to get to the gym. […] The "office" portion is one computer with a printer that is about as fast as DSL. There is ZERO convenience in this hotel. I am all about old charm but this place just has the old part. Oh, and one more thing. I was traveling with quite a bit of luggage and they don't even have a cart so I had to make numerous trips (once with the valet guy, the other by myself) to get everything to my room. Insane! reciently visiting the renovated belmont, i was excited to finaly get a chance to experance the opportunity and i wasnt at all impressed... about the only comfort in the large room was the bed, and towles. our dislikes were the tub didnt drain while showering, theres no counter space for its visited travelers to put toiletries. it was not equiped w […] a fridge/micro, the furniture was vastly uncomfortable,there were no wall plugs in reach to accomidate my charger. the flat screen tv was a 20' located on the only table space in the room and there were no drawers or safes either.the wireless internet wouldnt stay connected due to bad signal{and i was in the main bldg}. i was told every room had a skyline view,except mine, unless of course u wanted to open my roll shade n get a good glimpse of the cars n valet n the bldg across the street, my skyline view came from a balcony across the way... the advertisement was in no way shape or form wat i recieved.. the hotel staff were nice n polite, coffee bar a plus, but no breakfast bar and a 12noon checkout time came too early to sleep in late. .. the hotel caters to an older crowd, more like 55 and up, me being in my mid 30's i had to of been the granddaughter of the other guests there..... over all it was a not at all wat i paid for evening.... The reviews say the Belmont was recently renovated, and You can see that it's a place out of the 50s that has been updated. The hotel bar and restaurant are very popular, lots of people come there who aren't hotel guests. My first night there, I used Google maps to find a nearby convenience store to get a few sodas, etc. I set out walking the short […] distance about 11pm and soon realized I should not be walking in this neighborhood at night, and maybe not during the day, either. The 7 eleven turned out to not even be there. The next day I went across the street to a Family Dollar store. It's the kind of neighborhood where they make you leave your backpack at the front of the store so you don't steal anything. Rough area. Anyway, the Belmont staff are great, they'll even shuttle you anywhere you want to go for free (within a few miles), and your stay comes with access to a very nice health club down the hill from the hotel. I'm cheap, so I never tried the hotel bar, restaurant, or the next-door and very trendy restaurant called Smoke. As long as you stay on the premises or use the shuttle service, you'll be good, just stay out of the surrounding neighborhood. Devamı

The Belmont is amazing. Almost feels like you are on the set of a 1940's Bogart flick. The bar is great and has a top notch view of the Dallas skyline. The staff is great. Highly recommended!

This was a nice hotel to stay in, the service was good and the people where very polite. We had vallet parking and the gentleman was very very helpful! The only complaint I have is they didn't refill the shampoo and conditioners, that's it. So not a big deal.

Hotel was fashionably decorated, quirky (in a good way), and stylish. Stayed 2 nights (a Fri and Sat). The bar is really popular, and the first night I was in a room directly over the bar so it was quite loud w/ music and conversation. I was sick and wanted a good night's sleep but the bar didn't close until 1am. The next morning I asked to be moved. […] The reception staff was very accommodating and happily put me in a much quieter room. I would definitely stay here again because of that kind of service, and it was just a cool place to be. Devamı

This hotel was a little oasis in Texas! We loved the cleanliness, comfort and service. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. The bar service was excellent. And the bar food/appetizers were amazing and delicious! I would go back just for those! We will definately recommend and return.

My wife & I recently stayed at the Belmont hotel for our last night in Dallas before moving to the northeast. We have always loved the Belmont for its hospitality, its amazing design & aesthetic, and of course, Bar Belmont & Smoke. One of the best views of downtown Dallas. Thanks Belmont!!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Belmont! Amazing place for adults to stay and have a great time. The pool is divine! The view from the pool area is spectacular at night! The adjoining restaurant, Smoke, has the best brunch I've ever had (and I'm a foodie)! I was in and out of the hotel valet a lot & they were so sweet and accomodating! They even […] put my bags in my car for me while I went down to the pool on check out day! My only negative is, there is no dresser or closet in the basic suite. That was a bit of a hassle for me. Room #21 was very spartan. I thought it odd to be charged valet parking for an outdoor spot 20 ft from the front door, then given keys to fetch my car myself in the morning. Bathroom was very tiny and not a lot of room for "things" like a basic shaving kit. Great view of downtown Dallas at night from bar area.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Great time there. Late night staff is not so prompt to help and barely speaks any English but besides that everything else was terrific.

I love this little hotel because it is easy in/out and has all the conveniences I need which include wifi.

The Hotel was very unique. I felt like I was in Europe. The staff was exceptional. The adjacent restaurant was fantastic. We had a gourmet breakfast with service that felt like small town. While I personally didn't speak with the owner/chef of the restaurant, I overheard his conversation with the table next to us. He spent at least 15 minutes visiting […] with the patrons. Devamı

This property might as well be false advertising when rated 3 star..Plain rooms,average service, poor locale, and for the cost, get a motel 6 and save 60 bucks..

We stayed one night and enjoyed the hotel so much. We will come back next time we visit Dallas. The room was very comfortable and roomy (we stayed in a suite). The staff was very friendly and helpful in finding restaurants in the area for dinner and lunch. We had difficulty connecting to the internet in our room and the front desk put us in touch with […] the IT guy who took care of the problem within minutes. We booked the basic guestroom and were very disappointed -- it reminded me of a tiny dormroom complete with cinderblock walls and a dirty bathroom. We immediately upgraded to the "loft" room that had a view of downtown. It was great! Very charming with a fabulous view (but the bathroom tiles were still dirty.) We enjoyed our stay -- but were disappointed […] no one ever answered the phone for room service or for the health club. I had to walk to the bar to order dinner and we gave up on the massage idea. The bar was pretty busy in the evening and place was charming. We'll likely go back now that we know what to expect -- it's worth the money. Devamı

Decent room and comfortable bed, that's about it. Few crawling insects inside somewhat expected from the Motel type of setting. Surrounding neighborhood makes detached parking on an empty lot down the street fairly uncomfortable. Don't forget to bring your tissue box since it's not available unless you have no problem using toilet paper for tissues. […] OK for overnight stay but a POOR choice for extended stay. By the way, bring your own Hairdryer since it's not furnished. And possibly some earplugs if you wakes up easily with Ambulace/Police sirens. Anyway, Good Luck! Devamı
