Best Western Kansas City Inn - Kansas City

We had a great stay! We have two large dogs, a husky and golden retriever. The staff was really great and worked with us, since we were relocating from Colorado to Illinois. I would recommend them. Thanks!

Clean, well maintained hotel with the attitude and service of a 5-star. (In some cases, even better). I'd recommend this place in a heart beat! I'll go back for sure. Even if it's not 100% convenient, It's worth the extra drive....plus they have a shuttle anyway. Even the Mexican food resturant next to it was awesome!!!

They have a free shuttle to and from downtown KC among other places. Free breakfast and good eating right next door for lunch and/or dinner. Very suprised with the location. The free shuttle saved us about $40-$50 bucks in cab fare alone.

The staff at the desk were vey friendly and helpful. They knew the area well and assisted me in finding the best way around town. Thank you for your hospitable service.

We stayed 2 nights and were more than pleased with our stay. The staff was great and the rooms were very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Minor issues. The service was friendly. The only problem is that there was only 1 towel in the room. When we asked for more, they never arrived. We also wanted another blanket, which never arrived. It was New Years Eve, so that may have been a contributing factor.

We stayed there New Year's Eve 2011/2012. I thought room was nice and clean, comes with a refrigerator, coffee pot. Free ride to our NYE party at the UPtown. Also took other guests to Power & Light district. Applebees next door, Mexican food on the other side. Hotel offers breakfast but not the best of choices, but hey, it's free. It was a decent hotel. You could tell it had just been updated in some areas. I do have to agree with other reviews that it did smell like smoke in the rooms and hallway. The rooms were very nice and the bathrooms were excellent (very nice shower heads!) There was a very nice mexican resturant right next to the hotel and it was very good and awesome […] service - friendly people. The neighborhood got a little scary when you got a couple blocks away to the east. Not an area I would want to be in too late at night. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Very neat, good quality and you can't beat the price. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to KC.

The hotel was very convenient to us - near Union Station & Crown Center - and the places that it wasn't close, the shuttle took us there @ no additional cost. Even though it was a busy holiday and a big football weekend, service on the shuttle was always very quick. Overall, everything very clean. I choose this hotel because of it's close proximity to KU Med Center and it proved to be the perfect place to stay after undergoing an outpatient procedure at the hospital. The hotel provided me with shuttle service to the hospital and back (if I needed it) and was adjacent to an Applebee's restaurant which was easily within walking distance of my room […] at the hotel and very convenient since I wasn't allowed to drive for 24 hrs. The room was very clean and comfortable, the complimentary breakfast was more than just a Continental breakfast as it included cheese omelets and sausage, as well as, the standard cold cereals, oatmeal, toast, coffee, Danish, and Fruit and having it available upon waking up was such blessing when you're not feeling quite 100%, yet. The only negative was the checkout time of 11am ... which differed from what was stated on my reservation and on the webiste information which stated that checkout time was 12pm ... however, the maids started knocking on my door at 9:00am and kept knocking until I checked out. There was no "Do not disturb" sign provided to put on the doorknob, either. So, I kept telling them that I wasn't checking out until noon but they were latino and I don't think they understood English. Anyway, the front desk finally called me and asked if I was planning to stay another day as checkout time was 11am. So, I immediately checked out. Devamı

The primary reasons I booked this hotel were because it was close to my business meeting and it had a fitness center. The issue was that the fitness center hours were very inconvenient (from 10 am until 10 pm) for business travelers like myself, so I was not able to work out in the morning. I thought this was a great value. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The free breakfast was more than expected and very nice, the room small but clean. The hotels.com price was really cheap. We were close to downtown KC and also Country Club Plaza and the Christmas light displays at both were fantastic! If you just need a place to sleep, this hotel would be fine. Because we stayed over a holiday, they didn't have room service. If you needed anything, you had to go to the front desk, which was a long walk away and even longer walk if you have to talk a toddler with you. The power went out during our stay also.

Myself and some friends were in Kc for the holidays. We wanted an inexpensive hotel to stay at when we went out on Friday night. Although the staff was very nice and my room was very clean, the plumbing in the hotel is in desperate need of updating. When the person in the room next to used the toilet it was extremely loud.

The hotel was close to the Interstate and down town. There were some great dining within a 10-15 minute drive.

I truly enjoyed my stay. This hotel is in a great location, not far from downtown, they have an indoor and an outdoor pool, the staff is great. hotel is very clean. Only thing, when booking, This hotel is accutally in Kansas, and not in Missouri.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was small. Definitely would stay here again if in the area.

I traveled with my 90 year old mother and was given a 2nd floor room (no elevator) and no option to switch to 1st floor room. We arrived on a Friday evening and the hand rails were being painted--wet paint signs were on all the rails. So not only were we on the 2nd floor, we couldn't even use handrails. Finally, the exterier door closest to our room/stairs did not work after hours with our door card. We came in late and had to walk to another entry door. The night we came in to stay bathroom tub clogged.We couldn't take a shower for two nights in a row. It was a disater.

I was only at the Best Western, Kansas City for about 7 hours so I wasn't going to use the pool anyway. But if I HAD been staying longer I would have been upset at learning, after check-in, that the pool was closed indefinitely, due to a remodeling project. This is information that should be made known at the time I am deciding on whether or not I […] should reserve a room. Room was very nice. Bit noisy near the pool. Only problem was the bathtub bottom had water underneath it and it felt like you were surfing while showering. For a one night stay - a good deal.

We stayed here because it was conveniently located and conveniently priced. It was worth every penny! It was very clean, had a great continental breakfast, and they even provided free shuttle service. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in this area!

Enjoyed my stay here. The location isn't very good but the free shuttle is provided and I used it all the time, they are really flexible with it. They gave me a free breakfast on the monring I checked in, which was appreciated.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean. For some reason we could not locate an elevator to get to the second floor. That would be my only complaint.

Checking in went well. The first room I was assigned was not made up. Walking into a room that looks like it belonged to someone else was frightening. I was assigned a different room. The second room was not much better. The bead spread was filthy. It looked like someone had had sex on it. The bed appeared to have clean sheets and i was supprised the […] comforter was not replaced. The Chair in my room had a broken leg and could not be sat in. The shower was clean but the hot water was either burning you or ice cold. It was like someone was turning the hot water on and off. Miserable. I would not recomment this hotel to anyone. This Best Western hotel on Southwest Blvd. was at a great location. It was convienent to Interstate 35 and also the Power and Light district. The shuttle they ran was great as they dropped us off very near to our destination of the Sprint Center and they were quick to pick us up when we called and needed a ride back. the hotel is what is it, a best western--dont expect a 5 star hotel, however thehotel was vey clean, the staff were freidnly and over all it was a great experience. The hotel is lcoated about 5 m in from power and light district and hotel provides a free shuttle service 24/7. GREAT!!!

The hotel is like a college dorm, with young people loud and in the halls until 4 am the night I stayed, and no intervention from hotel staff.

My husband was having surgery at the hospital and this location is only minuites away. Very convenient and also close to the restaurants and shops that are on 39th Ave. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. New mattresses so the bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again.

Very clean room and comfortable beds--but noisy. Malfunctioning fire alarms second night--no $$ off the stay for that.

The carpet had not been vacuumed in days.... The room overlooked a dumpster that had not been emptied in days... The pool was diry and another guest was trying to clean it herself.....

This hotel was one recommended by the organizers of our event, USPC Champs, and they were very accommodating. Our room was large and clean with a microwave and fridge. Our beds only had two small pillows each, though some other rooms had many more pillows, something that we didn't realize until our final night. The cleaning staff was stingy with the […] bath towels, but you could always get more from the front desk. They're quite generous with the toiletries, and quick to fix anything that you report (in our case, the washing machine in the guest laundry). They opened their breakfast service early to address the needs of our group, which was nice for the hungry kids! The people at the front desk couldn't have been nicer - whatever you asked for was delivered right away. There are restaurants on all three sides of the parking lot, which is convenient, and a free shuttle to take you wherever (for us, the American Royal) you need to go. Plenty of parking, too.
