Second time to stay at Le Meridien Kk. This time was much better than last time in terms of service, cleanliness, food.

Have stayed here a few times and always satisfied. Great location to all the shopping and eateries. Rooms are big and comfortable with lots of amenities provided including DVD player. Would have no hesitation to stay again on my next visit.

Nice hotel good location and room size. Very friendly and helpful staff. Slight downside some scuffs and stains to furniture spoils the rooms. Stunning view from our room of the seafront

arrived at the hotel around 1pm in the afternoon and no one around to help with the baggage, but 2 porters appeared at check in area. at check in, was told that preferred room was not ready though the room was already paid for. waiting time for room was 1.5hrs couldn't wait so accepted another room with complimentary wireless. yes wireless was not free […] in this age! room tel did not work and had to come down to reception twice to fix it. iron was not working too and didn't bother anymore to call house keeping. left a note for the GM but there was no return call etc. at the most, a 3 star hotel!!! All staffs are friendly especially the Concierge, very helpful. Will stay there again when I visit K.K. Sabah again. Room is big facing cityview and near to the massage parlour. Pubs are walking distance and Pasar Malam just opposite at night for some local suppers!

Hotel was very clean large rooms comfortable bed large bathroom with bath and clothes line for washing, which was handy. Location great for sunset views local market across the road a bit fish smelly at night after a hot day. Shopping very close and lots of eating choices close, would stay again.

The room and service was fabulous. The buffet was international but really great pizza and pasta, reasonably priced by western standards but not by local standards. A very nice place to stay in KK. We would recommend the sea view rooms to take full advantage of the great location. Lovely outlook and nice sunset vistas. The only major issue is the outrageous charges for internet access at 20 ringgit per hour or 35 ringgit per day. The check-in was extremely slow. I am not too sure what is holding it back but I was waiting for about 15 minutes at the counter to get my room. The situation for the breakfast the next morning is even worse. I was assigned with a table by a gentleman. Then, I went to get my food. To my surprise, my table was assigned to another group of people when […] I return. I told the girl handling that group that the table was assigned to me. No apology mentioned. A good hotel with great staff who really want to make your stay a pleasant one. Unfortunately we needed to arrange for a doctors visit and the staff were very understanding and concerned for our situation. They arranged foe one within 10 minutes and ensured they arrived in the 45 minutes that was agreed. The staff then continued to "check up on us" […] to ensure our comfort etc. very much appreciated. A very comfortable bed, huge room, and a classy breakfast buffet, but what I really appreciated was the courteousness of the service which made a one-night stay seem longer.

Great location and very helpful staff. Close to the shops. I had a deluxe sea room view which had great views over the South China Sea. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for one night, and whilst the room was pleasant enough, we were disappointed with the view. Our voucher indicated we had a classic seaview room, and i remember when i booked it several months ago paying extra for the seaview. But actually, we were facing ugly buildings and the sea was off to the right so you had to crane your neck to […] even get a glimpse. I brought this up with the Manager on check out, as we were returning a few days later. He was rude and patronising and made me feel like I was stupid for expecting a ful sea view. This hotel is getting old... the room we stayed at had water damage on the walls and the halls smelled pretty badly. TV was too small...the buffet in the morning was good.

Excellent location to shops ranging from stalls to upmarket retail outlets. Close to food stalls, restaurants and bars. Staff very helpful with the exception of the bar staff. Two incidents resulting from the bar staff unfortunately put a damper on an otherwise good experience. 10 / 15 minutes from airport (RM30 taxi) .. good location in downtown, not a "resort" hotel .. but the hotel is one street back from the seafront and the views from the sea facing side are great (and worth the cost) ... I paid a few dollars per night for the club floor upgrade, which is well worth it if you plan to take breakfast and cocktails (also […] includes internet) ... there are various tour operators offering Mt Kinabalu, or Islands/ beaches etc ... cost RM 150-250 per day depending on the trip ... but IF you just want one day on a nice Island beach then walk or take a taxi from the hotel to the town pier and by a return ticket on the water taxis for about RM30 ! Excellent hotel on arrival to KK before moving on to explore the rest of the country. Close to restaurants and bars on the waterfront. Hotel staff were very pleasant, courteous and helpful.

We travelled to Kota Kinabalu with 2 children, 7 and 10 years old. After a minor misunderstanding on check-in about how many beds we needed, (which was fixed very promptly), we were very satisfied with the hotel. We had a very large, comfortable room. Great. We had a lovely room near the top, overlooking the sea and the huge market. Our room was Club. So we enjoyed a lovely breakfast there and drinks and nibbles in the evening. Good central location, although there are not many great sights to see in KK. Great Indian restaurant on the watrefront. My stay is fine except I was really disappointed with the international phone call charge. It was explained very clear and I was way over charged for using less than 30 minutes. I am coming back with a group of friends next year but will not stay your hotel again. Thank you very much. William.

Perfect location, super friendly, polite and very well groomed and spoken staff, this hotel is within walking distance of markets, restaurants and shopping plazas. The best sunset's from the club room, they let us check out 2 hours passed our check-out time! Breakfast at the Circle was better than the Club room. Staff were very friendly.

A moderately upscale chain hotel. Centrally located to the downtown area. Wifi available. The usual upmarket amenities are present. Typical inattention to building soundproofing. Some fine views of the port's market area. Everything was in good working order.

After a long journey, we were excited to be staying at the Le Meridian. We arrived at about 9:30PM and were crestfallen when we were shown to our room. We immediately noticed a damp musty smell in the room and got the general impression that the room had seen better days. All the things you don't expect from Le Meridien - Stains on the ceiling Mould […] in the shower Mysterious stains on the carpet and light fittings Towels and Linen with an odd chlorine smell While disappointed, we were exhausted so we just went to bed. The bed seemed very worn and creaky, and sagged in the middle, clearly a bed that had seen too many guests. We didn't sleep well. The next morning we raised these concerns and asked to see other rooms. The staff were really professional and helpful, and did move us to a room that smelled fine and had a slightly better bed. That said, the room still wasn't up to scratch. It wasn't a nice place to come back to at the end of a long day. Frustrated with the old stained pillows we ended up just buying our own from a local department store for the week. This isn't a Le Meridien and shouldn't charge Le Meridien prices. Don't be fooled by the opulent lobby, the rooms ring more of a Holiday Inn, the beds of a by-the-hour motel. Devamı

Great central location, stroll to markets, restaurants, shops, good sunset view. Pool nice after a hot walk ! Big rooms and beds, although hotel showing signs of aging. Great staff and value for money. Only disappointment was the upgrade to Club probably not worthwhile.

had a great stay, arrived wednesday, had an invite to have drinks and snacks at the poolside, met the F& B Manager,Mr Krishnan, the family enjoyed the overall stay. view from the room was super, also access to nearby sights.

The Hotel is situated in the most promiment part of town allowing access to all facilities. The Staff are excellent and try hard to please. The Room was excellent however I did not realise a Sea View Classic Room was one with partial view of the sea and overlooking housing and trade areas. The Meals in the Circle and Lounge were first class, but the […] Al La Carte menu only changes monthly and you can quickly run out of options. We booked this trip from Manila on the spur of the moment and couldn't believe how inexpensive the rates were. Good hotel in a good central location. Plenty of room for my family and good concierge staff. On the downside the food is very expensive and if booking tours avoid the tour desk. Its much cheaper to hire a taxi (ask the concierge) Pool was great but if you want just to stay at hotel and relax perhaps a resort is a better option.

Very comfortable, and convenient access to major shops and to have a good meal out. The immediate neighbourhood is unclean and appears unsafe in late evenings(ie not much lighting and poor walking paths)
