Days Inn JFK Airport - Jamaika

Very nice late night staff with cookies! Nice bed and free shuttle.

Free car parking space available and short drive to JFK. Site easily found using sat nav. Friendly and helpful staff.

Room small, possible to park for free and free shuttle to airport, which it shares with Best Western and Holiday Inn. If you just need at place to sleep, its fine. Don't expect much. Staff are very friendly and helpfull.

The hotel is very old. My room was next to the fire exit. The door was kept open to the street at all times. I don't think this is safe. The neighborhood is seedly. You would be afraid to walk around. While the hotel is clean and located close to the airport, it was not my cup of tea.

You only get two pillows to sleep on; maybe more should be given for people that might have neck problems and though it's a two star hotel, if you can't have both a microwave and a refrigerator, maybe one or the other. I also believe that the $100, deposit is a bit much as well. For the rating of the hotel.

The mattress was frumpy. I felt like I was in a sleepy hotel. The room was small. They made you pay for coffee. I will never visit that hotel again.

The room and the overall hotel maintenance was good. The staff was very courteous. The cable left allot to be desired. Some channels did not work (HBO). Called maintenance and was told they would fix it and get back to us, but never did either. I would still recommend it even though it was only a one night stay.

Shuttle does not pick you up from the terminal....you have to take a bus to Federal Circle to meet the hotel shuttle. It does however take you directly to your terminal from the hotel which is nice. Somewhat of a dive for where it's located, and the look of the hotel. I had noisy neighbors till 3am that no one from management took care of.

This Hotel lives up to what you'd expect from the typical overnight stay. What it lacks however are the following... 1) Microwave & Refrigerator in room without cost 2) More options for their continental breakfast 3) Complimentary shuttle service to subway station Other than that I would revisit this hotel and also recommend it as well. Location was the most important during this stay. Days Inn fit the bill. I think the 2 star id correct although the service was fine.

For the rate paid the stay was adequate. The room was on the 1st floor which is the basement level. The room was very cold although comfortable.

If you are stuck at the airport this is a good choice. Confortable bed and pillow dated but clean.

GOOD HOTEL

We found room clean, comfortable and quiet. Good value for money in regards to convenience to Airport Only downside was attendant seemed to not know little about shuttle bus to airport and the amount of time you should possibly allow if catching a flight.

Overall the hotel is a place to stay when an overnight near JFK is needed. The 'breakfast is minimal and the computer use is expensive if you don't have a wireless, but other than that acceptable. The staff was efficient and pleasant..

Its just a place to rest your head if you have a short night. Location is not good and the rooms are not that nice. Great breakfast and complimentary shuttle is a plus.

It is very god to use as a temporary stay for early flights taker or companionship-er!

...and you're tired of paying a lot for a room - this'll do for a few hours...but I'd recommend a Ramada in the area if it's the same price. One good thing - it's right next door to a long term parking garage that is great, reasonably priced, and well staffed.

It was very noisy all night long -conversations in the hall way could be heard clearly. The bed was old and saggy. Nicely redone bathroom. I was on a one night flight layover -I would look elsewhere for my next trip.

The hotel is an okay place to stay in if you are in-between flights. It is not near any places so it's best to bring some take-away food with you. Although the hotel offers Wi-Fi, it is not always reliable and can be slow sometimes. Some of the TV channels do not have great reception. When I first used the heater, there was this musty smell but after […] awhile, the more you use it the smell disappears. The vending machine is not that great and it won't give you any change however if you tell this to the front desk, they'll give you your change. The front desk was friendly and approachable. Perfectly okay for a JFK layover......not plush but clean and comfortable.....nice people at desk......free shuttle bus was a good plus

Close to JFK = that's about it! Certainly functional and fits the bill if you need to be close to airport. Free shuttle to airport / subway stop is great. But shuttle will only drop off at airport stop - so must pay the extra airlink fee to get to subway if going into manhattan.

The first room we were given smelled of urine and they quicly gave us another room

Stayed one night on Oct 28th having arrived late at airport.Expected no frills and was pleasantly surprised. Small room but it was clean,warm, quiet and comfortable. Only complaint would be the tiny breakfast room which was unable to sit most of those who turned up for breakfast. Most chose to bring their food to their room.

The night clerk was very sharp. No bell man to help with luggage and after traveling all day from Paris I could have used help. The mattress was very bad it had a big wirer that was sticking out. The room smelled of some kind of offensive room deodorizer. The Tv worked fine shower was good towels very flimsy. I would not stay here again nor recommend […] it to any one. This is a very small room. The good thing is that it is near to airport and provides free hotel shuttle. But the breakfast is very little and the juice machine was switch off at 9am. There is nothing around the hotel except hotels. But the bed is quite comfy.

Too expensive for what it offers. Shuttles are every hour, which is too much for a hotel that his biggest value added is its closeness to the airport and the shuttle services. Breakfast starts too late, taking into account that many people leaves early to catch their flights. That is why they stay at that hotel.

The hotel maintenance personnel were especially cordial. Professional and very kind. The kitchen personnel - clean, efficient, very kind.
