Bunratty Castle Hotel - Bunratty

It could be a 4 star hotel. A friend was having her wedding there - food and service were excellent! Room was lovely. Didn't get touse the spa but it looked nice. The only thing that wasn't up to 4 start quality was the carpet in the halls - you could see it was a little old, but still perfectly fine and clean.

Beautiful hotel and fabulous location with shops folk park ,pubs and restaurants all in walkin distance.

The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We were at a friend’s wedding and the function room used for the reception was really nice. The only issue we had was that we had booked a smoking room and were not told until check in that they do not have any smoking rooms. Unfortunately the room that we were assigned was on the other side of the […] hotel which was quite a long walk to the lobby/smoking area. The option to choose a smoking room should be removed from the booking page, and the hotel should consider assigning rooms that are closer to the smoking area. We were really impressed with our stay in the hotel. Could not find any fault. Would definately stay there again.

I stayed here for a two night break and enjoyed the time immensely. Staff are lovely and I found the rooms nice and quiet considering it is quite a tourist area with people coming and going to catch flights at Shannon airport. There was a lovely little water feature outside my window so very peaceful. The spa is wonderful with a relaxation room for […] after your treatment...highly recommended. Really enoyed this hotel - very convenient for Limerick (& Thomond Park) and Shannon, and on a very good bus route - even late at night. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The food was lovely - breakfasts and the bar/restaurant menus. It was beautifully decorated - both in the bedrooms and the public areas. The hotel is in a very pleasant setting with shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was very good.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Bunratty Castle Hotel. Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities. We requested a room in the new section. The bathroom had a shower and a separate soaking tub. Housekeeping left a bag of clean towels, shampoo and TP each evening since we left the do not disturb sign up. It was wonderful. Pub food was great. Easy walk […] to the Castle and Folk park. Drives to other areas were also easy with the motorway entrance very close by. Pool/hot tub was wonderful after a day out exploring. You do need a swim cap for the pool but they sell one on site. We paid a little extra for Breakfast which is the same each day and was very good. Only down side was trying to get Wifi access in the far end of the hotel. Very iffy. We highly recommend the hotel! This hotel is in excellent proximity to Bunratty Castle, making it a perfect 5 minute walk to and from the entrance gate, which was especially helpful after we indulged ourselves on the generous amounts of mead served at Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet! I might recommend it but with some reservations--not a very clean room as well as some issues, clogged drained, etc.

Nice hotel, our room was a bit small, and a little dusty. Window wouldnt open, had to have someone sent to our room to fix it. Food and drink was nice. We also had 2 sandwiches & 2 soft drinks brought to our room and we're charged €24 which is about €8 over the odds compared to anywhere else we stayed. A very pleasant hotel which is ideally located near Shannon Airport. Our only complaint, which we offer reluctantly, is that we chose the hotel because of its proximity to Shannon airport from which we had a very early flight. We asked for a 4:15 AM wakeup call, but it never came. We awoke on our own and attempted to check out at 4:45 and found no one […] at the desk. A phone call to "desk service" brought someone from "Kathleen's Bar" ( next door ) who cheerfully checked us out. Whether the previous day's desk clerk hadn't submitted our wakeup call or our 4:45 clerk had gotten caught up with the previous day's wedding guests who were still partying in Kathleen's is anybody's guess, but the fact remains we were very fortunate to have awakened on our own or we might have found ourselves stranded in a very charming place. It was my Dad's 70th birthday and we decided to go to Bunratty for the weekend. The hotel was just perfect with excellent spa facilities and lovely rooms and we were within walking distance of Buntratty Folk Park and we went to the Bunratty Banquet on one of the nights and to Dirty Nellies on another. All in all a wonderful experience

Had a great long weekend at Bunratty can really recommend restaurant food. All staff very helpful

We were a party of six staying for one night and attended the Medevial Banquet. The hotel is super, staff extremly friendly and helpful and rooms lovely and spacious.

A real de-stress venue and the spa is to die for

the only complaint i would have is that the hotel is way to warm!!! i had the window open for the whole stay even after they reduced the heating to the room. also from the heat the gym was very uncomfortable.lovely hotel though overall and very close to bunratty castle 3minute walk.

I stayed in this hotel Saturday night 5.2.2012 with my wife.I found the manager Alan very friendly and helpful and of coarse the rest of the staff were very friendly.I was very impressed with this service and I can assure you I will be back.

The hotel was warm, comfortable and inviting. Rooms clean and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful and the bar food good (not great but good). Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment. Over all a really lovely stay, would go again and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Bunratty Castle Hotel while we enjoyed our stay the lounge got very cold from about 11.30pm!

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. Our room was located through a series of corridors and up a flight of stairs and was difficult enough to find. It was a pretty large room though. Breakfast was great- a huge selection of cooked breakfast!

We were at the end of our trip to Ireland and the Bunratty Castle Hotel was our last stop. It was very close to the airport with easy on'off the motorway. The hotel was very nice close to some shopping and the Castle. We would stay there again and more nights. It was very clean, a lovely spot really.

This is overall a nice hotel with very friendly staff. There were just two points that bothered me. We were in an executive suite on the fourth floor which looked out at the castle. but we also got an eye and earful of the hotel generator for the duration of our stay. it wasnt extremely noisey but it was there going constantly. Also the lack of coeliac […] friendly options on the menu stunned me. The waiter could only recommend one dish that was safe. Unfortunately i didnt want it and opted for the lamb shank with red wine sauce. The waiter informed it was not coeliac friendly either but instructed them to take the sauce off. The lamb was good, the potato lovely but overall without the sauce it was half a dish. For the amount of time it took for the meal to arrive the chef could have easily made some thing fresh. For a four star hotel in such a tourist hotspot Bunratty castle hotel would need to pull up its socks food wise. Devamı

Across from Bunratty Castle. You just walk to the castle and the pubs and the shops. Ate at the Italian restaurant at the hotel. Anthony our waiter was great. We enjoyed our stay.

Had a couple of days off recently so decided to visit Bunratty. Hotel was really handy, comfortable and we were surprised at how much there was to do around the village. More than it's share of good pubs and restaurants. I would certainly visit again and definately stay at Bunratty Castle Hotel again.

I would give this place a 5 star! Wonderful people, wonderful area and so much fun!!

A fine looking hotel with plenty of parking, conveniently located close to Bunratty Castle and the Durty Nelly Pub. Lots of craft shops and restaurants within walking distance.Our room was very comfortable and clean with a nice view overlooking a water feature in one of the gardens. Good food and good service.

Everything as better then expected, the staff was extreamly friendly and helpful, and the Spa was amazing! If we ever travel to Ireland again we will definatly stay here!

We rented a car at the Shannon Airport and stayed at the Bunratty Castle Hotel, which was wonderful. The food in the pub is good, and the food at the Creamery, just next door, was even better. It is an hour or less away from many sights, and the drives alone are spectacular. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money.

The outside of the hotel was well maintained and beautiful as was the lobby, the room was old and not well maintained. Beds were uncomfotable. The bathroon was decent but the towels were stained. Our view was overlooking the a/c unitls on the roof. the best part was the air conditioning which is quite sad considering the price.I would NOT recommend […] this hotel. Devamı

This hotel was very nice. The room was larger than expected. Located right across the street from Bunratty Castle, which has dinners every night. Weekends are packed with weddings, so it can be noisy in the lobby. Wi-Fi only available in the lobby. Spa was great and reasonable. About 30 miles from Cliffs of Moher.
