Landmark Resort Hotel - Myrtle Beach

The Grand Strand has really declined over the past forty years. The area is far less secure and illicit activities appear to abound. The hotel is located at the intersection of ghetto and PWT. Our room and the entire hotel smelled of stale tobacco and liquor. The much touted indoor water park was beyond disappointing. The front desk will try to attach […] additional fees even after you have paid through Hotels.com. Because this is a group of subleased rooms, none of the cordiality or professionalism you would expect from any decent hotel exists here. Devamı

This is a great place to stay with children. My family of seven stayed the last weekend of March and there was so much for us to do. All the pools were great for the children and Salty the Shark was extra. We didn't have to leave the hotel. The bar was good, but we would of liked to hear the basketball game ( they told us we couldn't turn up the sound […] up). The food did take a long time and over priced, but it was good! I will be staying here again and will be tell everybody! Devamı

While this isn't a 5 star hotel, they do a really good job at making your vacation wonderful. The service was great and helpful, rooms were not by any means fancy, but were clean and comfortable. Parking is beach front. I would definately recommend this hotel to someone looking to make a cheap fun vacation. Even the cheap rooms have a sink and utilsils […] so bring a crok pot and save some money! Devamı

Perfect on stop resort. Our vacation was during March 18th - March 23rd 2012 for a couples romantic retreat. The hotel staff was wonderful and right on top of anything we needed or any issues we might have had. anything we needed was right onsite from breakfast to dinner. The heated outdoor pool was so neat to be able to swim in until 11:00 pm everynight. […] My favorite place was ANY OF the 6 hot tubs wow that was awesome to relax and enjoy everyday anytime of day. I wished I had brought my whole family there are several indoor swimming play areas and a kids lazy river besides the regular one plus several 1 ft kids pools to enjoy. 9 holes of mini golf with another pool and hot tub was available everyday from 9am to 4 pm which was a nice treat. We had the time of our life and would go back anytime we can and would reccomend this to everyone from 1 to 100. The only downfall We had on our trip was we have small dogs and would love to have our pets with us as they are our family as well but this resort is not pet friendly which saddens me but all in all it was awesome. P.S. one thing to tell you all is when a resort or hotel says a DEPOSIT required trust me a DEPOSIT IS DUE AT TIME OF CHECK IN NO MATTER if your room is paid for or not EVERYONE pays the deposit and you will get it back upon inspection of your room on the day you check out! I had an issue with this because of Hotels.com I was trying to book our room on the phone the lady who was helping me I specifically asked her about the deposit,she put me on hold and said she rang the Landmarks Sevice Desk and told me no deposit is required of me. THAT WAS NOT TRUE a deposit is always required! Loved our stay her hope you enjoy yours as much as we did! Devamı

Great location. Lots to do for u and the kids no matter what the weather. Would return in a heart beat.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here and will be returning. There is so much to do just at the resort. I love the indoor/outdoor lazy river which is also open during off season. I recommend the Landmark to all my friends and family.

Despite my timing in staying there. High school band/cheerleading meetings and cheers early in the morning, my stay was still relaxing. Everything and everybody associated with the hotel was done in a most professional way.

We enjoyed our stay at the Landmark Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. Our only complaint was that we asked and was assured the room we got had a balcony facing the beach, however our balcony faced the backside of the hotel. At check out we were told to get a room with a bacony facing the beach, we would have to change rooms every day of the five we were there. […] We declined and made do with what we had.......There were no problems other than that and we were able to enjoy our stay Devamı

We recently had two rooms which were nicely furnished, the indoor pool was great considering it was late December and location to restaurants & attractions is convenient. Would enjoy a longer stay next time.

Great indoor lazy river, felt like bath water. Huge pool, but was not as warm as I would have liked...however, it didn't stop the kids from swimming and having a good time. Room interior was nicely updated and met our needs. They also had several hot tubs tucked away for a quieter setting.

Got there and checked in - no problem. Lots of parking, well situated close to everything. Beach was awesome, 17 pools in the hotel, mini golf what more does one need. The room was clean and really liked the full sized coffee machine ( I love my coffee LOL). loads of free parking. I would stay there again and again. The only thing - the food wasnt all […] that good in the hotel. Breakfast was good, happy hour was a bargin but my ceasar salad was swimming in dressing and had some brown lettuce in it which I wasnt impressed with. But, hey nothing is perfect and thats ok. The staff were always friendly and willing to go out of their way if need be. A great place to stay. Devamı

My family and I had a really great mini weekend get away. I would recommend this hotel to people who wants to get way for a "short" stay. The pool were not clean, it needs updates. The rooms were clean and housekeep was great. The only thing I can complain about was the "Pool fees". They charged us "pool fees" for each day, when we really didn't go […] to the pools. I didn't agree with that.. but overall it was an okay stay. I would go back. Devamı

Landmark Resort was nothing to jump and holler about. The air conditioner was loud and elevators are small and hot . Security there were more worry about arm bands then they were the kids jumping all over you .After signing in , we had to pay a resort fee that we did not know about. We also bought breakfast tickets for a discount breakfast and the waiter […] took them and still charged us full price. I doubt we stay there again. Devamı

First time I stayed here, but will definately stay here again. I got a great rate for Labor Day week-end. Staff were very friendly. Rooms very clean. Good DJ by the pool.

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and we really didn't know what to expect.The hotel is a little old and could use some updating.If you're looking for luxury accomodations then this is not the right hotel for you.But if you're a family on a budget then it's a perfect selection.we have 3 children ages 2,10,and 15 got the excutive oceanfront suite […] which consisted of onebeadroom with two beds,a living area with a pulldown bed and a sofaa kitchen stocked with kitchenware,pots and pans .We really enjoyed our stay,the house cleaning staff were very nice provided us with extra towls and remebered to do it for the next days of our stay without asking.the hotel itself with all the different pools and the water park was fantastic.would definitely recommed it! The hotel had numerous obvious repairs and still needed a few cosmetic ones to be done. Everything was serviceable. Interior rooms overlook air conditioners and plexiglass overhangs. It was definitely worth the more inexpensive price though. If you're spending most of your time in town or at the beach, this may be what you're looking for.

This hotel was very nice. I took my daughter and 3 of her 17 yr old friends for a week and they had a ball. The room was a nice size, the amenities were nice and the parking was good. It was nice not to have my car sit in the hot sun all day (they have a parking garage). I will definitely stay at the Landmark again.

The pools were great at this hotel but the hotel itself needs a lot of updating!!! Looks very dirty inside just because the halls were really dark. Needs new paint and new carpet. We were wondering if we were going to see bugs everywhere. We did not so that was a relief. Probably would not stay here again.

Had a great stay!! We were there for a family reunion and had a blast! Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. The kids loved the lazy river and all of the pools associated with the property. Parking was close to hotel. Will definately stay again:)

While checking in at the hotel my husband's debit card was accidentally charged an additional $1200 by hotel staff. This obviously put a huge road block in our trip. A refund was issued but we were told it would take 3-5 days for it to be put into our account. We were offered a free dinner at their Italian Buffet night as consolation. The room itself […] was nice. It had dishes, a microwave, sink and mini-fridge. Our room was on the 15th floor and the balcony was home to a flock of pigeons. The balcony (including the patio furniture) constantly had bird droppings on them so we were unable to enjoy that part of our room. The cleaning staff was very nice. The pools were alright. Our children really enjoyed the lazy rivers. However, the water in the indoor pools was very cold. All in all, if we return to Myrtle Beach in the future we will most likely choose another hotel. we have travel all over the country but this was our first visit to myrtle beach sc the hotel was recommended to us and we really enjoyed it. it was nice to walk out straight to the beach, all the pools were very nice a couple of them very warm. the staff was very professional and pleasant. the only thing we didn't like was the hallways and elevator […] had no air conditioning so it was like a sauna and that it was located too far to walk anywhere. Family orientated hotel, lots of things to do and nice swimming pools. Only negatif point, $30 a day for a umbrella & chairs at the beach.

I had been wanting to stay at this hotel since our first trip as a family to Myrtle last year ('10) & fortuntely we were able to do so this year. The hotel was really nice & the amenities were AWESOME! 2 lazy rivers (1 completely outside & the other mostly inside w/ a little outside) along w/ a kiddie lazy river, an outdoor pool & jacuzzi, 4-5 jaccuzis […] indoor (I can't remember for sure b/c I didnt spend much time in them lol), a small kiddie pool & a larger pool inside as well, then across the street you have FREE putt putt, ANOTHER 2 kiddie pools & one has a ton of the pool sprinkler things and another jaccuzi. The elevators were the only annoying part of the trip lol. The staff along w/ the security guards were extremely helpful when we were kind of lost trying to find the pools :) The room was really nice & very clean. We had an AWESOME view, even if it was a sideview (that happens when you wait until the last minute though). Plus you get lots of discounts when your out and about & show them your roomkey. You get a shwet of all the places that accept the card, but we asked everywhere we went & actually found that Johnny Rockets gave us a small discount & they werent on our list. AWESOME place to stay!! Would definitely stay again!!!!!! Ps: there was a $100 security deposit that we wwre unaware of that we werent aware of, but that was no factor considering all the fun we got to have! Devamı

The hotel was nice. Had a wet bar with a sink and a refrig in the room which was nice. Only problem was that room was not cleaned on one day. So had to ask for fresh towels since they were all wet from the day before. Elevators slow and had to wait a long time to catch one.

Our stay was quite pleasant and comfortable for the price. I have to say that the walk to the parking deck from the hotel is ridiculous! Also, My husband and I were on the 15th floor and as soon as you step off the elevator it feels like 100+ degrees. But once we made it to our room, we were happy again.

Room was not what I paid for, toilet handle broke first thing, the air conditioner didn't work, the refrigerator was leaking and their was black mold in the bathroom. All of that and Mgmt still would not work with us at all to move to a different room!! I wasted hours talking to more than 5 people and still couldn't accomodate/move us.

Hotel wasn't a dump but was very disappointing to pay that much a night for a tiny room with NO view. Elevators were hard to get at times. Safe in room didn't work. Nail sticking up from carpet almost cut my son's foot. Hotel was obviously old and could have used a facelift. Great access to beach though and had nice indoor pool. Parking was across street […] so that was a hike every time you went somewhere. They advertised waterpark but it was really just a little kid play area. Devamı

I am not happy when I was check in because when I book on line 2 rooms face to the ocean view ,but they gave me 2 rooms were not face to the ocean view.

Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay at the Landmark. Our room was clean, updated and had a great, small kitchen complete with dishes and silverware. We loved that it had easy walkout access to the beach. Our 5 year old loved all of the pools and lazy rivers. Our biggest complaint was with the elevators. At peak hours it was difficult to get an elevator […] and at one point the elevator I was on stopped working completely. Overall I would recommend this hotel and stay there again. Devamı

This is the second time we have stayed ay this hotel. It has a very good location not far from Family Kingdom amusement park. Hotel has many pools and hot tubs and a awsome kid park across the street. This trip we had a remodeled room that was very nice. We truly enjoy this hotel and would reccomend to others.

The location of the hotel was great with all the attractions nearby and the beach access. Apart from the noise from children we enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and family.

All the staff were very friendly and the room had the basics needed. The location and variety of pools (in/outdoor, lazy river, hot tubs) were great. We did request a maintenance item which was never addressed (shower curtain was loose causing curtain to gape at both ends). Lack of a continental breakfast was disappointing, especially since the coffee […] in the room was not good. There was a wet smell in all the hallways due to people walking around wet from pools. Overall, everything was adequate, especially for the price we paid, but there were no extra touches to make this an especially enjoyable place to stay. I would also advise anyone staying in Myrtle Beach to be aware that traffic heading out of MB on a Sunday is terrible all day and will add an hour to your trip, so you may want to leave on a different day.
