Miami River Inn - Miami

No TV, very old furnishings, needs major upgrade. Too rough for our tastes though might work out for those who want the "rustic" B&B scene. We checked out a day early. Not comfortable enough.

It was old and tattered (on historic register, but not maintained); manager told us not to walk outside at night. The bed was soft, the pipes were loud and the common room smelled of cats. The manager was very helpful - but this could not make up for the negatives - even though it is green and the towels, dried outside, felt great.

I love this hotel. This hotel is truly what I would a gem in the rough. The hotel is not in a tourist part of town. To get to this place is where the adventure begins.

I loved this place. So much character, beautiful grounds, awesome historic rooms, friendly home-like atmosphere and right near downtown, yet nestled into a quiet corner of a neighborhood. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Miami. Such a great find.

Although a charming property that seems well cared for, the bed & breakfast is not within safe walking distance to anything. The entire property, including the parking lot, is surrounded by a fence & gates that must be accessed with a key. It was a bit intimidating. The breakfast also left a lot to be desired: store-bought yogurt, toast & muffins...left […] me craving McDonald's! For the same amount of money I could have stayed in a safer-feeling neighborhood with larger rooms and been provided with a comparable breakfast. Devamı

THE HOTEL IS FULL OF CHARACTER BUT NEEDS SOME LOVING CARE TO THE EXTERIOR ROOM WAS BRILLIANT IN COLONIAL TYPE OF HOUSE BUT UNDERNEATH A MAJOR BRIDGE! SUCH A SHAME IT IS IN A VERY ROUGH AREA IT WAS PROBABLY WONDERFUL BEFORE IT WAS SURROUNDED BY THE MODERN WORLD BUT WE LOVED IT!

quaint little cottage get away! We loved the area out back with all the palm trees hanging over. It offered a peaceful experience. We wished the hotel had lawn chairs available to lay out by the pool.

I felt I was taken! This place was no historic motel. The place is in lock down mode. The neighbor hood is questionable. The place was clean but there are a lot of places for half the price and confortable. No Ice, no coffee makers,and the bathroom is quite 1700 style. Sorry but if i coulf have canceled I woulf have been out of there!!!!!

It was my first visit to Miami and I was there for the ING Marathon. It was late notice and I ended up finding what seemed to be the only room in all of Miami for that night. I am a sucker for restored old houses so I was really excited to stay here! I got to town and I have to admit I was very nervous about the neighborhood surrounding the hotel. […] But once I got there, all of my premonitions were taken care of. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who upgraded my room because the A/C was broken in the other room. Even still I found out there was great cuban place only a mile away which I walked to and had no issues with. Tinta Y Cafe I believe is the name of the place which is next to a Publix and other restaurants. It was fantastic! The hotel provided breakfast extra early for the runner guests so we could have some grub before the race. All in all it was a fantastic stay! Devamı

I loved this Inn, I like older decor and antiques, very comfy at a great rate. Great for those who like quaint and cozy places.

Great location to walk into downtown Miami. We stayed two nights, one on each end of our cruise and found the staff to be helpful. Our rooms(s) we clean however the beds were not comfortable at all. We even put our mattress on the floor to gain sufficient support. The grounds around the inn are nice and feel secluded.

It's a good place to stay in Miami. It's well located, just a walking distance to downtown and to the public transportation. The decoration is great and the bathroom is enourmous in comparison to what we are used to in US. The breakfast area is amazing - you can choose indoor or outdoor in an yard with tropical plants and pool. Parking is free and large. […] The only problems are: the windows do not open and we are not able to control the air conditioning. The breakfast is not so great. We had to spend Saturday night in Miami awaiting a Sunday cruise to the Caribbean so we were looking for a place close to the port which was inexpensive and provided breakfast. I found the Miami River Inn while searching the Internet. It sounded better than it was. The hotel is quaint, what one might expect from a B&B. However, there are no eating places […] within walking distance; the TV had limited choices and no remote; the bed was small and the lighting was insuffient to read by. The cab driver couldn't find the hotel and drove around for almost an hour trying to locate it. (The telephone # listed by Expedia was incorrect). It is a nice and cosy Hotel if you like the old Victorian Style . I would recommend it to my friends and if I come back to Miami I will stay there again

The service was good, and the location is easily accessible to downtown and the freeways. Unfortunately, the place has a "doll house" feel to it in terms of the decor, which is somewhat uncomfortable.

Miami River Inn was horrible. The neighborhood was unsafe. I kept having to look over my shoulder to make sure I wan't going to be attacked upon entering the black gate they have around the building. My Bed was uncomfortable, everything was outdated, I had sugar ants all over my sink, the shower was disgusting. I had dead ants on the side of the shower. […] I also looked under my bed to find a dead bug. The place had not even been dusted. I wanted to adjust my own air and you can't even do that because the manager has to adjust it for you. It's stuffy in the place. You can't even breath. I had paid for 2 nights and the first night I checked out. I went to the manager to complain about how I thought the hotel was unsatisfactory and even told him why I felt this way and he cursed at me and really didn't want to hear what I had to say. Do yourself a favor and don't bother going to this DUMP. Seriously. Devamı

Really charming B&B, very cute room. I was weary of the location however, especially as a single traveller without a car. Had to exercise caution travelling on foot.

Service = Excellent. Very attentive staff. Helpful. Condition = Meh. These are very Old Florida houses and cottages... they show their age. If you're not expecting it, you won't like it. Cleanliness = Minus the sometimes apparent dingy "grandmotherlyness" of the space - everything was clean. Comfort = I slept fine. Bed was a little firm. You definitely […] heard your neighbors' doors and sometimes the pipes... but I had no issues. Convenience = As a local, native, I found it just fine. Tourists and cab drivers on the other hand have a bit more trouble... only because the address is SW River Drive... if they say "at the corner of 4th Avenue and NW 2nd St"... alot more people would find 'em. Neighborhood = You in Downtown Miami... define "good"? Parking Lot and grounds were secure behind the gates. I did not feel unsafe. Overall = For the price, location and the quick stay - it was perfect. Would I spend a week or two here - probably not... Devamı

There were not that many reviews, so I decided to take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived: it was quaint and appeared clean. However, the bed squeaked all night long, there were animals running around in the wall all night and a cockroach in the bathroom.

bonnes impressions/à 800 m des stations metrorail et metromover au centre de Miami.Petit déjeuner très bien ainsi que le jardin.Personnel sympathique mais pas de présence continuelle.Il faut pouvoir marcher sinon près du centre ville et bon rapport qualité/prix.Chambre propre et beaucoup de charme.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel un paio di giorni e lasciatemi dire innanzitutto che non vale il prezzo che costa. La posizione è sì vicina a downtown e a N-E del quartiere di Little Havana a ridosso del fiume. Negli immediati dintorni non c'è veramente nulla e per arrivare a downtown bisogna attraversare a piedi il ponte e passare in una zona su […] cui poggiano tutti i piloni dei raccordi stradali sopraelevati, zona desolata di giorno e a mio avviso pericolosa di notte per la presenza di vagabondi e barboni vari. Se si resta invece al di qua del fiume è OK ma ripeto non c'è molto. La struttura dove ci sono la reception e la lobby è una vecchia casa tutta in legno degli inizi del secolo scorso con portico. Bella se piace il genere, compreso l'interno arredato in stile "casa delle bambole". Le camere ricalcano il medesimo "old style", la nostra era piccola per essere una matrimoniale (uno solo letto "queen size") e poco luminosa, le finestre incomprensibilmente sigillate! Bello il giardino e la piscina ma entrambi poco curati e manutenuti: peccato! Colazione OK con anche frutta fresca e dolci vari. C'è il parcheggio privato (comodo) all'arrivo ti danno chiavi della camera e del lucchetto del cancello del parking. Piccolo infortunio all'arrivo il primo giorno in orario non certo anomalo (h.18:00) siamo stati circa 30 min attaccati al citofono del'ingresso per farci aprire. Alla fine la signora della reception si è scusata era sul retro dove non si sente il campanello!!! Devamı

Hotellet ok ex vid en över nattning Hela hotellet är omgärdat av högt järnstaket så även parkeringen. Personalen mycket vänlig och hjälpsam liten frukost. Men det ligger vid floden på en bakgata så gå ut en på en promenad och turista känndes inte bra. Hotellet är en historisk plats så det var trevligt att bo på. Nära flygplatsen.

L'hotel è una grande casa coloniale in un quartiere non proprio residenziale, ma tranquillo. C'è un parcheggio privato interno con cancello. Personale molto gentile e disponibile, stanza grande e tutto molto pulito. La colazione non è granchè. La struttura è immersa in grandi giardini molto ben curati e di grande effetto scenografico.
