Journeys End Atlantic City / Absecon - Galloway

We had to ring the bell for the office to be unlocked during the middle of the day. The landlords seemed surprised - and suspicious of us. I actually asked if all was okay with them. No person skills. Room was okay - hoped it would be quiet and it was. Very basic. With all the hotels in the area- next time I'd pay 20$ more and get peace of mind,comfort […] and a smiling face. I was in a non smoking room and that room had heavy Smoke stains on the walls, my bag stinks of that room. The carpet was disgusting, the bed had burn marks and stains.The bath tub had gross ring marks around it, I had to shower with my flip flops on. There were very shady people going in and out all day and night. I don't know how this place is still […] open. Devamı

So, I got this hotel because they were pet friendly and they were close to a friends house. When we got there, I said I was checking in and he immediately said that he saw a dog (a Tea Cup Chiuaua (sp?) in our car (via security cams) and that it would cost us $15 extra a night if the dog is even to set foot in the room, and refused to check me in if […] I did not. I did not argue because we had a dog but not the first thing you say to a patron. When he gave me the keys he game me a smoking room. I explained that I requested a non-smoking room. He said because I have a pet I have to take a smoking room, I told him no, I have a baby and its a shame that you associate all pet owners as smokers. We were given a non-smoking room under duress. We finally got to the non smoking room and it appeared as of some child took a yellow crayon to the walls and no one cleaned it up. Also we noticed that to the left right and under us were smoking rooms. We had, had it, and we knew no matter what he was going to throw the fact that I had a dog. So we stayed at our families until we were ready to sleep, went there slept, woke up early and showered and did not come back until its was time for bed again. During this time we were gone, they never came in to make the bed or to give us new towels. We had the dog the whole time so there was no excuse. This is the worse hotel I have even been to. Devamı

It was what you'd expect for a small motel in galloway. Let me just warn you the smoking and non-smoking rooms are next to each other and above/below each other. We were in non smoking but below us and to the left there were smoking rooms. It wasn't overwhelming but you could smell it at times. The room was OK. It was clean but you could tell the fixtures […] have been there quite sometime (cigarette burns on the tub, sink, etc). I wasn't afraind to put my suitcase on the floor or anything. But I did wipe down the counters, table, lamps, clock, phone, remote, door handles and toilet seat with clorox wipes. We noticed an unknown stain on the bedspread and when we called down the manager came up and remade our whole bed with linens fresh out of the dryer. She was very nice. I WOULD stay here again. It is walking distance to Denny's and a convenience store and it's a straight 8 minute ride to Atlantic City. We only stayed here one night, on a saturday, because the rooms at the casinos were ridiculous. We went to Harrahs on Sunday. Devamı

The service was very good and the room was very comfortable. It also has a great location .... 10 min for A.C. The only downfall is that there were ants in the sink and in the tub. Not horrible but a noticeable amount.

We only spent the night at Journey End, because we were going to a party in Atlantic city. For the most part. the motel was clean, and convienent. Free Wireless Internet, and microwave and Fridge in the room, which was a great amenity. Everything was fine, except for the part when i got a phone call from the front desk telling me i had to come back to my hotel room or they were going to call the police because my puppy was alone for more than one hour! THEY DON'T ALLOW PETS IN CASINOS, AND THIS IS A PET-FRIENDLY HOTEL!! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? STAY INSIDE ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG? […] MIND YOU, I HAVE A 4LB YORKIE THAT WAS CRATED THE WHOLE TIME..AND THEY WENT INSIDE MY ROOM WITHOUT ME BEING THERE. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL..THANK GOD THE SHOWBOAT IS NOW PET FRIENDLY! Devamı

I was nervous about this hotel due to the location and 2 star rating however we were pleasently surprised. We came with the expectations of a 2 star hotel and it lived up to that rating; maybe alittle better. The check-in was a snap and were in the room within 5 minutes. The only slip-up was that the room was a smoking room and not a non-smoking. Once […] in the room, we found all appliances, including the A/C, in working order (Hot water was very hot!). It was very clean and did not have any real oder of smoke. There were small tobacco stains in the bathroom however no mold or bugs. The beds were typical firm (read stiff) matresses but otherwise quiet. Our stay was for 1 night. I would stay here again. Devamı

No coffee, no pool. Ac did not work.You get what you pay for.. Cheep is not always better

Good value for the price. Stayed overnight in the king spa room. Very roomy. The only thing missing was an ironing board. Didn't need one, but you never know.

My only big complaint with the room was that it smelled like mothballs, which was unpleasant. The rate we got was really good, though, and the room was overall clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size. Parking is convenient...free ice. Staff was friendly, and the surrounding area is nice. The management was hospitable. I have stayed in the hotel in years past and was pleased. The overall condition of the hotel was not acceptable. The smell of smoke was overwhelming and no amount of spray could cover the absolute stink. The bathroom floor was filthy. There was mold on the ceiling and walls. No shampoo in rooms, soap was cheap, my room smelled like mold and all my clothes smelled like it so I had to rewash even clean ones when I got home. Ceiling had mold and issues with it. Just nasty.

The room was quite spacious and included a jacuzzi tub, refridgerator, microwave for a low price. We were staying there then meeting folks in AC. The location was close and the hotel was quiet.
