La Quinta Inn Livermore - Livermore

The location was fine, but was unhappy that the hallway where our room was located smelled like smoke. We told the management but they didn't really care. It looks like they don't take care of this hotel.

Very nice location, beautiful surroundings and very quiet. My doggy liked the area as well :)

Need a place with a comfortable bed. It is a good choice.

This hotel was maintained and clean and the staff was friendly BUT the room was the most uncomfortable I've stayed in. First of all the door of the room was ajar when we got to it. There was no bedspread or comforter on the bed (apparently this is their standard procedure!). There was a sheet and a super thin hospital type blanket and nothing else. […] The bed was horribly uncomfortable! It felt like plywood. The floor was damp in one section so we couldn't put stuff down on it. The room did have a fridge and microwave but here's an idea: get rid of that and invest in a decent bed and some BEDDING!!! Oh you had to stand in the closet (just an open space in the wall with no doors, etc) in order to open the door to the room from the inside to go out. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! This hotel was right off the freeway and perfect for an overnight before going into the busy bay area. It was super clean with a friendly staff. Check in was quick. Room was spotless. Bed and linens were new and clean. The room was as modern and efficient as far more expensive hotels. Very good value.

Our overall stay at La Quinta Hotel was worth our one night stay. The hotel was very accommodating. After having driven for 8 hours, we arrived way before the check in time and were given a room immediately. This made our day! The free continental breakfast was also very much appreciated. It was nice and clean, but it seemed like a lot of the items in the room were crammed into it. Bathroom door barely missed the sink in the room when opened, Coffee pot and stuff on tray took away from the sink space, had to kind of back into the room when front door opens into narrow hallway. I suppose it was good for the price!

My wife was very happy with the Hotel and our stay, she especially liked the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and suana which are great for the fall/winter seasons. the one thing we did not like was the smell of cigarette smoke on the 3rd floor near the elevator. That aside very nice hotel and had a great time there!!!

Good and safe area. Staff was friendly and courteous. Close to shopping and dining. Well maintained indoor pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. A great hotel!

Complimentary breakfast was fantastic-so many things to choose from. I had busquits and gravy w/a waffle and banana. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Indoor spa ,pool, & sauna was perfect. I'm a smoker, but I hated the smoking room. I don't smoke in my house, so It was not a good idea to get a smoking room.

liked the price, cleanliness, spaciousness, breakfast available including waffles. BUT there was a really STRONG smell outside of the hotel as well as when we walk into the room. Suspect strong cleaning products used to disinfect.

The floor plan was awkward. Access to bathroom and utilities was awkward. Everything else was pleasant. Rooms were emaculate!! Fresh smelling. Business services was easily accessible. Very close (within 1 mile of destination). Parking lot was well lit as I and my two small children arrived after sundown.

room was great for the price. Breakfast was typical of lower priced hotels, hot waffles. cold cereals and such. Would stay again and I was here for a golf event at poppy ridge an this is within a mile on the same exit as the course.

We arrived kind of late in the evening, but there not a hitch. Had a "good" continental (complimentary) breakfast in the morning. Front staff was very friendly and accommodating. This hotel was very clean and very nice. The main problem I had, is you need to drive a few miles to get have a meal. There is nothing close, not even fast food. The staff was very friendly. They did have an indoor swimming pool which looked very inviting. I do not know why the pool was indoors. It was a beautiful day outside and I would have liked […] to sit by the pool. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was nice. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, clean shower and decent bed. The AC did not have a thermostat so it would freeze the room until you turned it off. It was also a bit noisy. The area was easy access to the highway but there was nothing else around but businesses so you had to travel to eat etc. Overall […] it was a nice place to stay in the area if you are not looking to spend a ton of money! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean and conveniently located for travel. We had a pet room but you would never know. Room smelled fresh and clean, unlike some other hotels that accept pets. The staff was wonderful, not hovering but very helpful and attentive. The indoor pool and spa were nice for relaxing. They had a nice complimentary […] breakfast in a comfortable room with TV and daily newspapers. They did not treat you like a leper when you arrived with a pet. They have a large parking lot in back with good areas to walk dogs. We had a wonderful stay and would fully recommend to anyone travelling in the SF Bay Area. Devamı

We had trouble finding the place because the map provided with our reservation confermation gave the name of the freeway but not the number. I was familiar with the numbers of the freeways but not the names.

The good: Nice rooms and very clean. Excellent maid service.Close to freeway. The bad: Food cold(scrambled eggs and sausage) and out of coffee one morning. Loud music from a reception that was held there(after 10pm). As I was going to complain another guest said he had just talked with person at desk about the music. For the must part the hotel was good. There are a few things that I was not satisfied with: 1. There was cake left in the frig from I guess the last guest that was in the room before me. 2. The hot tub was not clean. It had lots of foam and in the corners underside there was lots of green algae. 3. I was in room 214 and there was a chair in the room […] that was stained. The hotel seemed clean visually, but the odors were somewhat disgusting. Using cleaning agents, the odors in the hallway were strong, cigarette smoke in other parts of the hallway as well as the elevator very bothersome to my nose. It was not unbearable but as sensitive as my nose is, it was bothersome enough. The rooms were fairly clean and quiet, […] so it was fair to rate the room a 3. The lounge room that served Continental Breakfast was far from inviting. Nothing made you want to stay in the room to eat. A few "fake" plants, a small flatscreen TV, anything that would be more inviting than what's currently there, would be a good add. As you walk into the room, the food is displayed behind and around the corner. There was NO indication that a Continental Breakfast was offered...just could not see it! Unfortunate that it rates a 2 Star, it could be better with a few improvements. Lastly, as I walked towards and into the lobby to the front desk, several employees continued their conversation outside. It was not until at least a minute or two later that someone came in to attend to my needs. That is pretty "lame" service as far as I am concerned. If not for the cleanliness of the room, I would reluctantly rank it a 1 Star. Devamı

The hotel was overbooked when we arrived, but the front counter staff worked with us to find the best next alternative. He found us a nice room with fewer beds and brought us a roll-away; kept the pool open extra long for us; and made on-the-spot cleaning for us when our room was a little less than perfectly cleaned. He went well out of his way to make […] our stay comfortable despite difficult circumstances beyond his control. Thanks for the fabulous service! We enjoyed our stay. Our initial room was great but for some reason the shower knob broke off. We let the front desk know and it ended up where we needed another room for the repairs to take place. No problem, they got us into another room and it was in good shape also. We spent 3 days there and had no major complaints. The hot tub was nice and the […] pool was nice...a bit cool but nice. This hotel is clean, comfortable, and convenient. The staff is helpful.

They are very nice & the rooms are pretty clean, however, do beleive that they should have a sign posted staying that animals are not allowed in the breakfast area. Furthermore, there was a small stain on the floor in the room. But on the most part was a pleasant stay.

Everything about this hotel is nice. In our room, the nob in the fridge and on the AC was broken off, but it didn't cause us any problems. The front desk didn't seem to know much of what to do in the area to pass the time which was a little frustrating. Overall everything was good!

This hotel is not as nice as other La Quinta Inns that we've stayed at. When we arrived, we were placed on the second floor. Upon stepping off the eleveator, we were overwhelmed by the stench of stale cigarette smoke. Smoking rooms were exactly adjacent to non-smoking rooms. The room we were assigned had plastic bags wrapped around the smoke detectors […] and reeked of cigarettes. when I called the front desk to ask for a different room, I was met with frustration and a bad attitude by the attendant. When I explained the condition of the room, the answer I received was, "Well, it IS a smoking hotel." I have stayed at hotels that allowed smoking in designated rooms in the recent past and hadn't had a problem with the smoke seeping out into the hall and adjacent rooms. I am 8 months pregnant and was traveling with my 2 year old and 3 year old. After I explained my condition, we were moved to another room on another floor. This room was better, but the smell of smoke was still evident. The breakfast bar also left much to be desired. the fruit was old and bruised and the paper products were not well stocked. All in all, I was not impressed with the accomodations and will not stay at this location again. Nor do I recommend anyone stay here unless you are a smoker and don't mind the smell or are traveling without children. Devamı

very clean, comfortable rooms, indoor heated pool, above average breakfast including waffles etc. And the staff was very nice. Only bummer was the checkout is at 11:00am (they seemed pretty firm on that time) and no ice machine on every floor.

Paid almost $80 for this hotel, and I regret it! Horrible location, customer service was so rude (front desk) and the lous noises of idiots running through he hotel all night didn't help either. The customer service was so horrible we ended up waking up at 8 and just walking out! Didn't shower or anything! Breakfast was also horrible, and they ha nothing […] there! I strongly sugges you spend another 15 or 20 bucks and get yourself a room in a better hotel such as Hyatt! Devamı

I selected this hotel because of the 'indoor pool'. I wish the hotel manager would allow the people working there to use the pool & exercise room. I think if they did the pool would have been a bit warmer (ie comfortable) and the exercise room better equiped (the stairmaster was broken). There was a hassle with the breakfast people leaving out spray […] (oil) for the waffle maker - they kept telling me they were only allowed to spray the waffle maker 1 time - so everything was sticking. I'll look around the next time I need to stay in Livermore. Devamı
