Lincoln Inn at the Covered Bridge - Woodstock

We liked our room, and the breakfast was delicious. There was not much heat in the hotel on the second night when the restaurant in the hotel was closed that night. (restaurant is Tues - Sat).

Although this was a last-minute booking for me and my son, we were both pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, service and the food! Amy couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating, and Theresa's food was amazing!

The reception staff was excellent and gave me a lot of good advice as to where to eat and places to visit in both Vermont and New Hampshire. Maps were also provided with possible routes to enable me to get the most from my New England experience. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained, but had no TV or drink making facilities. The bed was […] very comfy and the bathroom and furnishings were spotlessly clean and well cared for. The restaurant on the ground floor (Mangowood) was excellent. The evening meal was delicious and the French Toast for breakfast was superb. Lincoln Inn at the Covered Bridge was an excellent choice on my part as a place to stay, one that I'd definitely stay at again, if I was to return to the area and one that I'd recommend to all. This is not an expected bed and breakfast experience, although the food was the only impressive part and the owners seem to be concentrating more on the restaurant aspect of the Inn. The room was small and dark with no real amenities and the shower was almost non-existent. The only way to the rooms was a steep staircase nearly impossible to navigate […] with a suitcase. The cost was very similar to other Inns where the hospitality and rooms were vastly better. It certainly did not merit the reviews quoted. We were quite disappointed. Devamı

Recently my husband and I had a very pleasant stay at the Lincoln Inn. Amy and Teresa provided wonderful hospitality in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Breakfasts were the best I have had in a Bed and Breakfast and our dinner experience at the adjoining Mangowood Restaurant was fabulous. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

This hotel is much too far away from the town and there are no cabs in the surrounding area. The hotel restaurant was closed when we visited due to the absence of the chef/owner. I had been looking forward to a special birthday meal there and that was the main reason we chose to stay. We were actually the only guests in the hotel which has 5 or 6 bedrooms […] and we were able to relax in the library/tv room lounge completely on our own. It was a bit wierd being the only people in the whole place which consists of the guest bedrooms, a restaurant which seats approx 40 and a bar, plus guest dining room and lounge. The room we stayed in (The Patriot Room) was just what we were looking for. Sightseeing throughout the day, with a cozy room and a large comfortable bed waiting for us at the end of the day. The breakfast that was served in the morning (at your convenient time, which you tell the owner the night before) was delicious french toast with berries. The area […] is about ten minutes from main part of town, but it wasn't too inconvenient. There is also a river right behind the inn, which makes for a nice walk. Devamı

If you are looking for something different to a chain hotel then this is it. A family hotel with some interesting rooms and decor and excellent food if you were prepared to pay a bit. Breakfast was french toast and coffee which was prepared beautifully but there was no other choice. The restaurant had won many awards but we did not want a huge meal […] so the chef made us some soup which was quite expensive. The room had one window, which had an air conditioner. No fresh air and the room was dark and stuffy with a very LOUD air conditioner. The pictures on line give no indication what it really looks like. The breakfast is a coated italian bread (french toast) was was very heavy and greasy and the dining room was stark and empty. We were in town for a wedding. The ceremony started at 3pm and we arrived around 12:30. Fine - I should have taken time out of my busy work schedule to look into the details of their check-in policy and make sure someone would be there to help us. Finally we saw a younger guy staring at us and I asked if he worked there. He couldn't give us any info […] about our reservation, but after a few minutes of prodding, he provided us with the phone number of the owner, who told us what room we were staying in. So far, so good. Unfortunately, there was dirt on the floor, mildewy towels, shower smelled bad. Fine again - popular tourist destination during the high season, few places willing to offer just a 1-night stay, it's not the Ritz, no need to make an effort, etc. But for the price we paid, we expected at least a pretense at basic cleanliness. When my husband returned the key the next morning, he received a gruff "Do you have a name?" Sorry, but if you choose to run a business in the hospitality industry, you need to skip the attitude and treat people with some respect. Especially quiet, low-maintenance, clean guests who just spent their hard-earned cash on a totally suboptimal experience. We come to Woodstock pretty frequently, but I'd rather sleep in someone's barn than stay here again. Devamı

This B&B is located on a charming site along the river, very pretty. Breakfast was excellent. The two negatives were a sloping ceiling in the bathroom which repeatedly attacked my head (I'm 5'10"), and a window air conditioner whose air direction could not be controlled, making for a breezy night.

I stayed at the Lincoln Inn at the Covered Bridge this past Saturday night. A friend was getting married in Quechee and I didn't want to pay the high rates associated with the large "Inn" in downtown Woodstock. I don't frequent B&Bs - I'm more of a 5-star/5-diamond hotel girl! - but figured "when in Vermont!" and was not the slightest bit disappointed. The […] Inn is lovely - very homey, comfortable and clean. Because of the wedding, I didn't get the chance to have dinner at Mangowood, but I can say that the berry-stuffed French toast Teresa made for breakfast was incredible... YUM! The house had all the quaintness you would hope for in a Vermont B&B. We chose the red Chinese-decorated room and found it lovely. As a previous review mentioned, there is no TV and no telephone. The Wi-Fi worked great. During the initial tour, we asked about the on-site restaurant, and the owner mentioned it had been voted the second best restaurant […] in Vermont and left us a menu. The menu options looked fantastic, but the prices were more than we wanted to spend. When we returned from dinner elsewhere, the owner seemed a lot less friendly. We felt we'd somehow missed something, offended her and the expectation is that if you stay there - you eat there. To catch our flight, we needed to leave prior to normal breakfast service, so the owner left us each a granola bar and yogurt. Devamı

A very nice inn. It's in a very old house, so don't expect the Four Seasons, but it was a nice place to stay. Comfortable room, nice shared "living room", along with a bar (where we had a drink) and a restaurant (we went into Woodstock, but the restaurant seemed quite popular.) Only thing we'd change is an earlier breakfast time - we could not get […] the breakfast and get to Killington early enough. Casa trasformata in albergo, si fa per dire... sporco e puzza regnano sovrane...camere minuscole e sporche, bagni vecchi e sporchi. Colazione indegna. Volevo piangere piuttosto che dormire in quel posto da vomito. Non ci tornerei neanche se me lo regalassero.
