Hotel room was okay. They made my 84-year-old father walk up 2 flights of stairs to a room on the 3rd floor. Even though we were in a non-smoking room there was a constant odor of cigarette smoke in the air coming from other areas and/or rooms. If I had not had a room freshener in my luggage it would have been very nauseating. Our stay was good. The rooms were clean and had all of the amenities. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Its a bit of a walk to shopping, but its a pretty walk at least. There is some decent dining in the area. Only 2 issues. 1.) Tiniest pool I have ever seen and 2.) We asked for a late checkout, so the cleaning staff came and gathered our used […] towels and didn't replace them with anything! Not very cool considering we were in town for the marathon.... We were very satisfied by the room, the management and the breakfast choices. It was a basic level hotel but very clean and reasonably priced with ironing board, coffee and fridge in the room. We would pick this hotel to stay in again.

The pool is very small, about the size of most hot tubs and about as deep. So if you like to swim laps, this may not be the motel for you. The parking lot is also quite small and narrow. If you have a long or wide vehicle, this could be a problem for you. The staff were very kind and welcoming. We came to San Luis Obispo for the day and spend the night here at the Super 8. Staff was friendly, grounds were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Only complaint would be the parking is not designed for motorcycle except for under the building (to much of a slant). Otherwise we had a great stay.

The "pool" is the size of a hot tub. If swimming is important to you, this may not be the right hotel for you. The included breakfast was decent and included a self-use waffle iron, cereal, juice and coffee, some muffins and locally made scones.

Super Eight positions itself as a moderately priced hotel. In SLO, this is among the cheapest...and with good reason. it is an old facility badly needing work. For one night as simply a place to sleep, it's okay. For anything else, avoid it.

We stayed one night at Super 8 in SLO and found it very clean, comfortable, and convenient. The bed was comfortable and the microwave, tv, refrigerator, and coffeemaker were very helpful. The location by the freeway and not far from downtown was ideal. We own a time share in Avila Beach and when we can't get in there, we often stay at the Super 8 in SLO. Service is good, price is good and they have now added a breakfast bar. Rooms are always clean, locations is usually quiet and we have no major complaints. This time, we stayed on the weekend when the time changed...leap forward 1 hour...maids were […] out in full force with noisey carts at 6:30 a.m., which was really 5:30 a.m.! Management could have been more sensitive to guest needs...it was a Sunday morning and nowbody was moving very fast! Otherwise, we find this a dependable, clean, comfortable motel which we will continue to use frequently! If you're looking to save some money and don't care about the comfort of the hotel or customer service, this is the place for you. If you do care about these things, then this isn't the place you want to stay. I stayed in this hotel by myself when I ventured down to SLO for an interview. When I arrived, I sent a picture of my room and the ever-so-tiny […] pool that was located in the parking lot, to my friend who used to live in SLO. He immediately directed me to a comfortable hang out downtown so I didn't have to spend more time in the hotel then necessary. I nicknamed this place "The Skeezy Inn". When I booked, I read all of the reviews on here and figured, this isn't the nicest place, but it'll do for the night. It saved me some money, but there was great discomfort when staying there. My stay has led to some laughs amongst myself and my friends at this point. If you care where you stay and have expectations of your hotel, don't stay here. If you don't have expectations and just need a place to crash, go for it. Devamı

A little too close to the college as we had a girls water polo team keep us up both nights of our stay

Not a place I would want to spend more than a night...it appears to be at least 60 years old and no refurbishing. Better than a tent ...but not by much.

If you don't care about personality and just want a clean, convenient place to stay in SLO you can't beat the price at the Super8 or the location close to Cal Poly campus and the downtown. This is not a hotel with any luxuries but covers the basics of a clean spacious room well.

Absolute bare basic hotel. Not much on TV or in the room to enjoy.

Fine for a night in transit. It had the smallest swimming pool I've ever seen, fortunately not something we were looking for in December.

It was nice, clean compare the price we pay per night the service was good. The only thing that bothered me was the morning lobby manager who was an Indian guy. He was not friendly at all. he was not welcoming and when I checked out the hotel he did not even talked to me. He was too rude and annoying.

Nice room: 1 queen bed situated off to one side of the full room, with a 2-4 person round table with two chairs had plenty of space in the other side. The drawers-wall mounted TV-refrigerator were along the wall opposite the foot of the bed with plenty of room between the two sides. The last section of the room is past the bed and has a wall-to-bathroom […] door counter top with a sink at the door side. The bathroom is at the back of the room beyond the bed. Nice shower arrangement with window that opens but no view. This is a top floor room. There is plenty of parking, situated along the length of one side of the site, with under-the-building parking in the back section of the site. There is a pool (maybe 'hot tub'??). Breakfast bar at front office had dry cereals/scones-pastries/coffee, juice/ and a MAKE-YOUR-OWN-WAFFLE with the mix already made, you just pour into as many as four 3-inch waffles as you like, and done to your degree of crispy outside...my daily treat! There were 4 tables/with chairs along one wall, a stack of daily USA Today newpapers. It was clean and neat. There is a open computer available but pretty slow and difficult operating system. This is a nice and quiet site at the north end of SLO and near the college. weekly farmers market was fun, entertaining and great natural foods selections and food vendors. We surfed at near-by Pismo beach and were able to bring our boards/wetsuits into the room, but they were clean (surfers showers at pier in Pismo) and only the wetsuits were wet when we got back to the rooms and there was a fine extended towel rack that accommodated two wetsuits so no mess on the floor.The site is enclosed past the entrance...so no walk-through and felt very secure here. SLO itself is a very fine place to visit, with old neighborhood and down town charm, yet vibrant with the college-town personality, and a big box/major stores at the southwest end of town (other side of the hwy 101.) Clean rooms. Located right next to the Apple Farm Resort and only a few miles from Cal Poly entrance on Grand. Friendly staff at desk and great prices.

Hotel is on the cheaper side and so you get what you pay for. Its clean and definitely gets the job done. thin walls. bad pool. bed comfy enough. Id stay here again, but i'm also the kind of person who next time will spend a little more to stay in a nicer hotel.

If you want to stay at a hotel with a good location in SLO for a good price, this will work. I wouldn't want to stay in the room all day, but it's perfect for sleeping and holding luggage while you go around town. The rooms are definitely out-dated but clean enough. Nice clean rooms with friendly staff. Nice little breakfast in the lobby to get the day off right. Very convienently located to Cal Poly. The mattresses were hard. Easy in and out.

Very clean, comfortable and nice managers. I had an issue with people in next room that had too many kids yelling and screaming and they handled it.

We stayed here because we were tardy booking for a show in Paso Robles. This place was one of the only places left that did accept pets. The parking was terrible. The hotel is old and not updated at all. Normally I'm okay with that as long as it is clean smelling. The room was dank smelling as were the linens and the towels. Well when we did get towels. […] Our first night we didn't have any bath towels. Didn't notice that until I was in the shower.... Dried off with a hand towel. All the bedding and towels were dingy(much like you would find a college boys clothes were when he washes all his colors and whites together) and smelled like they had been stored in a musty closet. The place was fairly quiet. The parking is a problem. Not much space to turn around your vehicle if the lot is full. Only go if you have a compact car! In addition the folks that operate it speak another language to each other when they are checking you in. I find this rude and unprofessional. Devamı

Location was good. The hotel itself was good for what it's worth. Can't really complain about the appearance of the hotel; it was decent. Breakfast was basic with mini waffles that you can make. There's internet connection, but it wasn't able to access it; had to use neighboring hotels/motels to access the internet but was rather s-l-o-w. Requested […] for a wakeup call at 6:00 am, but did't receive call until 6:20 am, and luckily we were already up and about ready to be out the door by 6:30 am to attend an event at 7:30 am. Very well kept and wonderful proximity to downtown SLO. Only issue was down pillows were painfully uncomfortable for side sleepers. And I normally travel with my own pillow. Otherwise it was great.

Arrived about 9:30p. A bit of a language barrier with staff. Nice clean room. Got a restful nights sleep. The continental breakfast was fine, basic pastries and drink. I would stay there again due to the reasonable price.

If you're looking for a quick get-a-way, and don't want to pay too much; this is the place for you. It's not that expensive and very clean. The manager on duty was very nice and friendly. Thank you.

I travel alot this hotel was super. Clean and well maintained. Good rates. If you are in Slo try this hotel. I am making this my stop in the future.

Clean and tidy room. Free in-room wifi was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Having a table & chairs, fridge, microwave & coffee machine made this large room a great place to stop for the night. Would stay there again!

I booked and paid for a room here, but we ended up going to a different hotel. We arrived and I said we needed a crib for my daughter. First the woman told me that I didn't request a crib because she didn't see anything on the reservation (even though I did request it). She then argued with me and told me to put my 1 year old in a regular bed, even […] though I said she would fall out of a regular bed. I then asked if there was a roll-away bed that we could have and just put the mattress on the floor. That's when she said that the hotel had only 1 crib and 1 roll away bed, and both were in use. We found it ridiculous that a hotel of that size would only have 1 crib and 1 rollaway. So we left and went to a different hotel. Devamı

The Super 8 in SLO is cheap, allows dogs, had a fridge and microwave in the rooms, has free wifi and is a 15 min walk to downtown. My complaints are that the walls are paper thin, which means every barking dog and drunk college kid giggling down the hallway wakes you up. The maids decided to vacuum the rooms on either side of us at 8 in the morning […] which made sleeping in impossible. Kind of cancels out the perks of having bars directly next to the hotel to hang out at all night. Overall, the hotel is cheap and you get what you pay for. I have definitely stayed in much worse. It was a disappointment, being so small that I could not really swim in it. It was the only negative thing about our stay.

Neseld between two fine hotels and freeway close (without the noise) the hotel is quality choice. Room is extremely clean, breakfast is included and the staff is very helpful and friendly!

It was OK the pool is to small looks bigger on your web-site. and manager gave us a hard time because we wanted extra towels. after about 7mins. he gave them to us.
