Amazonia Estoril Hotel - Cascais

Spent 6 nights in a studio room in October. Large room, simply furnished, clean, everything worked well. Twin beds, comfortable. Room comes with kitchenette, fridge, microwave, plenty of storage space, balcony. TV had numerous English language entertainment channels - thank you (thoughtful). Plenty of free parking. Free safe in room (though not actually […] secured to anything), but slightly unusual in operation (no instructions in room) - best to ask reception. Took train to Lisbon each day. 5 minute walk to station, 35 minutes on train - a better option than trying to park in Lisbon. Devamı

Booking a hotel on the Internet is always a bit of a gamble. We had no idea about hotels in this area and went on the photos and rates of different spots seen on-line. We feel this hotel gave great value for money, was central to where we wanted to be, was clean, friendly, gave good service, was recently renovated... in short it was everything we hoped […] for and more. We had never stayed at an Amazonia hotel before. This one has only 28 rooms, is hard to find unless by taxi or GPS, but is well worth the extra trouble finding it. Devamı

The hotel has a great location, minutes from the town center and a nice walk to the beach. They have a beautiful swimming pool and our room was spacious and clean. My husband and I are well seasoned world travellers and had a problem with the tax driver taking us to an airport hotel the day before departing the country. I aksed the woman at the reception […] desk to call us a taxi to take us to the Holiday Inn Express at the airport. She did so and told the person on the phone where we wanted to be driven. However, she did not say where to pick us up, meaning to us she knew the person on the phone. The new black Mercedes pulled up 10 minutes later. We know it's important to have an agreed amount that the fare will be before getting into the taxi. My husband negotiated the fare to be around 40E. As far as we were concerned that was high as we only paid 28E for the taxi to the Amazonia. The cabbie then told us, "don't worry, I have a meter". The meter was not visible. He took an unnecessary exit off the highway into downtown Lisbon, stopping at street corners four times to ask directions from other cabbies where the Holiday Inn Express at the airport is located. We repeatedly told him to go to the airport and we'd find it. We knew we were getting ripped off. Finally we arrived at the hotel and he wanted 50E as he flips up a hidden meter from beflow the dashboard. We truly believe he and the receptionist are in cahoots and that he pre-set the meter before arriving to pick us up at the Amazonia. Be aware and arrange for your own taxi. Internet kostet für 24h 7,50 Euro (1h 1,5 Euro) und einmal angemeldet laufen die 24h durch. Frühstück gibt es erst ab 8 Uhr. Ansonsten sind alle Freundlich und Hilfsbereit.

très bel hôtel à taille humaine, excellent accueil ! La porte de la chambre n'était pas très bien isolée mais nous avons apprécié l'environnement.

Das gebuchte Studio war zweckmäßig und neuwertig eingerichtet. Mankos waren: die Küche wird nicht zwischengereinigt, der vorhandene Gischirrspüler funktioniert nur, wenn man im Zimmer ist wegen der sonst fehlenden Zimmerkarte. Es gab ausreichend frische Handtücher jedoch keine Geschirrtücher oder Spültücher. Für diese Bedingungen war die Küche etwas […] gering ausgestattet mit Tellern,Besteck, Topf und Pfanne. Weiterhin war das Zimmer sehr hellhörig, Gespräche auf dem Flur waren eins zu eins zu höhren und die Straße war für die Größe erstaunlich viel befahren. Devamı

Fint hotell på lugn gata i Estoril, ett stenkast från tågstationen och stranden. Pausa här från Lissabons stadsliv. Rekommenderas.

Underbart litet hotel. Perfekt miljö för några stilla dagar i mitten på maj. Frukosten var perfekt, service diskret och omedelbar. Poolen vacker och trädgården välhållen liksom allt övrigt. Välj gärna ett rum nån våning upp för att få se mer av havet.

Within walking distance to the beach and the Metro to Lisboa and very good service. Nice rooms.

Zimmer mit Meerblick sind sehr zu empfehlen. Kleines, feines Designhotel. Wenn man eher auf Ruhe uns Eleganz steht, statt große Hotelanlagen.

Hotellet er nyoppusset og i tipp topp stand. Vedlikehold og rengjøring er veldig bra. Rommene er rene og sengene gode. Rommene hadde et helt annet uttrykk enn bildene vist på hotels.com; veldig minimalistiske og "kalde". Bildene viser en lun atmosfære som ikke gjenspeiler seg i rommene, men kun i resepsjonsområdet.

Nydelig hotell, rent og lekkert, nyoppusset, hyggelig betjening, selv om ikke alle snakket engelsk. Har vært et herskapshus for en familie, og blitt bygget om. Virkelig et sted å finne roen. Estoril ligger en halv time fra Lisboa med tog, det er enkelt og billig å komme inn til sentrum. Stranden er ved strandpromenaden, ellers er det et casino i byen, […] og ikke mye annet. Nabobyen Cascais har mer å tilby (restauranter, gammel bydel, butikker). Cascais er 3 km unna. Kommer gjerne tilbake. Devamı
