I highly recommend this hotel. Close to transportation and shopping. Lovely patio bar/restaurant overlooking a small park with fountain and duck-pond - great spot for a glass of wine before changing for dinner. Staff quite helpful and all spoke excellent English. It was a bit pricey but well worth the extra cost.

I selected the Berns for a conference I attended in Stockholm from a list provided by the conference organizer. I prepaid through hotels.com rather than pay the conference rate as hotels.com was a bit less. I was very very happy with the choice. I had never been to Stockholm before and discovered I had randomly selected a hotel situated on a lovely […] park at the end of Stockholm's 'Rodeo Drive' . I was less than 3 minutes walk to the harbor tour boats, 5 minutes walk to the T-banna metro and 10 minutes walk from the Gamla Stan (old city) which has some of Stockholm's best antiquing, restaurants, the Nobel museum, and bars. The hotel was a 15 minute walk from the Vasa Museum and the Swedish History Museum. The breakfast provided by the hotel was excellent, the restaurant selection in the hotel was also very good as was the decor. The room was a bit small but as I was alone this was not a problem. The bathroom was shower only but the shower heads had excellent pressure and there is a choice of downspout or hand-held. Had I been with my wife the closet might not have held all our things comfortably. For couples travelling together be sure to get a room in the front of the hotel as the rooms there seem to be larger and also have a view of the park/harbor. For people who want quiet, a room toward the back would probably be best but be sure to reserve a room with adequate space. The hotel had some families but I am guessing that they reserved more than one room. The staff all speak English well, are especially helpful and made great suggestions about things to do on a tight schedule. Because the hotel is so small, you definitely get personal attention. We booked two nights at the Berns knowing that this was a party place. We were not disappointed. Whereas our room was tiny and probably not worthy of a four star rating, the whole hotel turned into a huge party spot on Saturday night. With three distinct areas packed with locals, all of them beautifully decorated, we made the most of the Stockholm scene, […] all while not even having to bother about wearing a coat and getting VIP treatment at the entrance! From the moment I checked in (to an upgraded room) the experience was great. Staff were friendly, helpful.. The room, small but efficient and charming. Location close to shopes, the Old City, et al. Only complaint: luncheon menu a little too pricey. A bowl of fried rice (delicious) with tax, ervice, ended up costing around USD 30!

Within 2 blocks to old town. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Tried to have dinner in hotel on a Saturday night, but restaurant was full.

I was incredibly impressed with the Berns Hotel. I stayed in the smallest room they had, using a great deal I found on Hotels.com, so I wasn't expecting much. But the Berns really did deliver. The location is outstanding -- I walked to almost everything and the subway is right around the corner. It's situated on a lovely park that is nice for white […] night strolls. Used as accommodation while on conference. Stylish and comfortable hotel. Access to the elegant gym at nearby Sturebadet hotel also a draw card. Breakfast well catered for and the coffee excellent!

The small room, which we had, was so small that there was no space on the floor to put our bags (the tiny closet could only accomodate few hangers, no space for anything, no drawers, etc). The bathroom did not have space to put even a cosmetic bag on; one had to use the floor. In the first room we got, the shower was not divided from the rest of the […] bathroom (yes! no curtin or anything) so when showering, the water was fully splashing on the toilet and floor in the whole bathroom, resulting in walking on the watery floor when going to bathroom during the rest of the day. We requested another room, which had the shower divider but otherwise was equally small room - the room felt like a cage. I believe that they were small single rooms but the hotel decided to use these rooms as doubles. Such rooms are even to small for a single person. The tiles in the bathroom were dirty with yellow sediment on them. The shower was leaking the whole week but nobody fixed it which means that the cleaner never open water in the showere to clean under the shower. Most of the rooms have a view to inside of the three triagular walls of the hotel and in the middle on the triangle, there is huge air conditioning unit - and this is all you can see as your view. The prices are high and I am not sure why because the quality of the room was much below my expectations (and I did travel a lot). When chcking in, the service was poor - they did not tell us about afternoon desserts, whcih were complemetary and which we discovered two days later. When asked about Stockholm information were were told to go to the tourist information 2 streets away. The nice pool, whcih you see in ads accutally is not in the hotel but few streets farther and we were told that the gym is complementary but accutally for the pool and sauna we need to pay. There is nice restaurant room, whicxh you see on adds and it really exists and it is part of the hotel. Devamı

The location was superb. It was close to everything important and virtually nestled within a lovely park. The room was tiny but clean and well appointed. The bathroom had a funky shower. Too small for comfort.

Very good accommodation. Excellent service. Situation perfect! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The service from the staff was impeccable! Front door, waiters, waitresses .. everything. The rooms were awesome. the close proximity to nightlife was an added bonus! I couldn't possibly stay anywhere else in stockholm!

The Berns is ideally placed for a city break, we could walk to all the main sights of the city.

il Berns è davvero un ottimo hotel! Le camere medium sono spaziose, puite e dotate di ogni confort! Il personale è davvero gentile e disponibile. Eccezionali anche il ristorante, il club e la sala concerti! L'hotel si trova nella migliore posizione per visitare e divertirsi a Stoccolma! Lo consiglio vivamente!

När man ändra på bokningsystemet så bör personal informera kunden på ett diskret sätt. Det som hände var att personalen talade hög och tydligt att vi inte hade betalat för frukosten inför andra frukostgäster Nu ingår inte frukosten längre i priset vilket vi inte hade uppmärksammat. Detta kan man tala om på ett mycket bättre sätt ex direkt när vi uppger […] vårt rumsnummer eller direkt när man checkar in! Damen i receptionen löste problemet på ett myckt snyggt sätt en eloge till henne:))) Devamı

Fantastisk personal och underbar frukost!

Fantastisk beliggenhet nær alle de gode handlegatene i sentrum/östermalm. Hyggelig personale, meget god standard på rom og god frokost! Er ikke i tvil om hvilket hotell jeg skal velge neste gang jeg skal til Stockholm.

läget på hotellet är perfekt, mitt i smeten men ändå inte någon besvärande trafik. Atmosfären är varm och välkomnande, personalen likaså. dessutom är det trevligt att äta frukost på glasverandan ut mot parken.

Berns ar ett mkt trevligt hotell men rummets konst gav mig huvudbry, en "tavla" bestaende av en spanplatta med tre pa tejpade (med el- och frystejp) bilder. Hoppas dom inte har betalat allt for mkt for den.

Vackert hotell med bästa läge. Trevlig personal i receptionen, skön säng och en fin frukost. Två synpunkter: saknar vattenkokare och te på rummet, mycket kallt i mitt rum och det gick inte att ställa upp värmen.

Supertrevlig personal. Fin hotellfrukost i Berns anrika lokaler.

Fick checka in fem timmar innan utan problem. Bokade ett "stort rum", men rummets storlek kändes trots det som ett vanligt dubbelrum. Rummen var rena och fräscha, men hotellet i övrigt kändes något nedgånget. Vill även varna lite för de personer som kräver total tystnad när det ska sova. Eftersom hotellet har en nattklubb som spelar hög musik långt […] in på natten så är ett tips att ta med öronproppar. Devamı

Super beliggenhet og flott betjening i resepsjonen som stilte opp og var utrolig serviceinnstilt!

Sehr zentral gelegen, aufmerksamer Service, gutes Frühstück - empfehlenswert!

- Servicen i resepsjonen og på hotellet var utrolig bra. - Overlegne go uhøfflige servitriser i berns sallonger, - tam og kjedelig frokost. - topp beliggenhet.

Underbart hotell med perfekt läge! Personalen är otroligt hjälpsam och maten i Bers asiatiska är helt fantastisk! Den bästa jag ätit! Kommer bo här fler gånger! :)

Jeg kom til hotellet sent en mandags kveld, sliten og stresset, og senket skuldrene en meter med en gang jeg kom innenfor døren. Mitt 3 døgns opphold på Berns hotel var nesten for avslappende, for både atmosfære og romløsninger var behagelig avslappende og personalet var akkurat passe hyggelig og imøtekommende. Beliggenheten passer perfekt for det […] meste i Stockholm. Det eneste negative var at du kan være uheldig å høre bassen fra diskoteket, men dette ble kun bakgrunnsstøy for min del. Devamı

hel nöjd med hotellet och des faciliteter

Super beliggenhed og brunch. Meget hjælpsom reception. Værelset var ikke stort, men der var, hvad der skulle være, dog ikke udsigt. Berns ligger meget tæt på "Standvejen" og de lækre shoppinggader.

Sehr nettes Hotel in Top Lage; wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Morgens beim Frühstück ist die Welt in Ordnung...alles ruhig, sauber, relaxt, entspannt....abends ab 17/18 Uhr kommt der Trubel und man kann z.B. in den Sitzgelegenheiten keine Cocktails sondern nur andere Getränke odern....aus was für einem Grund auch immer. Das Ganze hat uns nicht […] gestört, auch vom Lärm der Bar/Disco haben wir nichts mitbekommen. Frühstück hervorragend und Mike am Empfang war äußerst hilfsbereit. Für Shoppingfreaks liegt das Berns bestens, für diejenigen die es zentral/relaxt aber nicht so Shoppingnah brauchen würden wir das Hotel Skeppsholmen empfehlen. Devamı

Jeg opplevde å måtte bytte rom tre ganger, men den ypperlige servicen gjorde at det gikk lekende lett! Alltid smilende personale, sjarmerende rom, fantastisk deilige senger og en utrolig beliggenhet! Noe lyd fra Berns salonger, men det var veldig overkommelig.
