very reasonable price for location.Clean except one bedroom that has a red duvet, can't tell if it was clean.Staff gracious enough to move me to another room.

Small but comfortable room, ex-B&B, excellent location, friendly staff, very clean.

It's old and simple, but clean. You get the absolute basics there.Great for the price, close to restaurants and stores

The price (of rooms and parking) is right, the location is fantastic, the windows open, the halls are wide, and staff clean the rooms well. Just note that the walls are a bit thin and the last call for room cleaning is 3pm.

My children and myself enjoyed our stay at the Barclay. We will stay here again in the future. It would be nice for the renovations to be finished by then. That is the only thing we didn't really like, it was smelly and a bit messy. You could easily tell that they were trying hard to keep it tidy though.

If you are not concerned about modern hotel and luxury, this hotel saves you money. I walked to and from the convention center daily for a conference. No problem with either distance or safety. The room itself was clean, my own bathroom and good staff. Also, the Sky Train and Amtrak stations are in walking distance. Tucked in between 2 upscale hotels, this little vintage building has recently updated a lot of their rooms. Be advised this hotel has no elevator, with stairs leading to the check-in desk from the street. There is a pub on the lowest level, but no coffee maker in the room. Step out the front door onto Robson St: mega shopping to your right, as well as entertainment and food. English Bay & Stanley Park, maybe 15 min walk to your left. Booked this hotel for 12/31/11 for just one night. We were on a honeymoon trip (chose this hotel for just one night transition to another hotel) The room, of what they call exec King, was quite roomy with so-so cleanliness, but a few things that were terrible: 1. No elevator. there is a half step up towards the lobby and another sets of stairs to […] the rooms that can't be avoided. It was very inconvenient since we had 4 luggage. 2. Terrible sound proof system The sound proof system of my room was one of the worst that I had ever experienced. We could hear the conversations that were going on from the next door as if the guys are right in front of our door. It was new years eve and the guys were drinking and being obnoxious as well. When we first arrived, we didn't have our confirmation sheet, and they tried to put us in a more expensive room than the one we reserved. This is more of a small, pension or guesthouse, not a big chain hotel, but if you have realistic expectations, the price is right. If you are one who likes to walk and see the sights, as I am, it's great. I walked to/from Skytrain, and I walked to/from and also took a couple of nice long walks in Stanley Park. Wonderful to walk on a dark winter morning, […] turn a corner, and see the skyscrapers of Vancouver over the water from the entrance to Stanley Park! If you can't walk well, however, you will not be happy, because of the stairs, the distance from the train station is too great for people who don't walk much, and non-walkers don't enjoy parks. For what I was looking for, it was perfect. I stayed here for a 23 hour air layover, so being able to get quickly to the park without the hassle of renting a car was a great value to me. Devamı

Small and old, but nice location, good price.

Recently my fiance and I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to our cruise departing from the Canada Place the following day. Upon our arrival, the staff were friendly and hospitable. The rooms, although dated, were spacious, clean and quiet. Had a great time in this hotel we stayed in a suite, lots of room. No elevators, however only 3 floors so was not bad at all. Awesome pricing.

I stayed on two occasions in my 3 week holiday. The hotel was far better than expected. Room was clean and staff were very helpful taking my luggage to my room. On the second stay I got one of the refurbished rooms. Great jazz bar next door

holes in the walls, someone else's hair on the bathroom floor, filth and mold in the bathtub tile grout, and bugs.... do you really want me to continue? this place was nasty. but it was cheap and convenient. you get what you pay for.

Barclay Hotel Vancouver, BC Hotel rooms are being remodeled. Plusses were that my room was quiet, comfortable, and very clean. The desk service was knowledgable. There are a large number or ethnic and other restaurants close by. Tthe Canada Palce convention center is a 15-18 minute walk. On the minus, I had to use a nearby hotel's wi-fi to check my […] emails (or go to the lobby), the door locks are old-style with a mechanical key so I felt uncomfortable leaving valuables (a computer) in the room, and the room was very compact. The staff at the front desk were really friendly, smiles and courtesy; which is great when you had a hard day of travel. Parking wasn't very fun though. The room was great layout, had a heritage style feel to the building. Overall, not bad, not bad for location and cost.

I think the cost of the hotel is high for the type of hotel it is. It's old and has no elevator and no breakfast. However, the location is great and the staff is very nice and it's very clean, everything worked perfectly in the room.

Staff friendly and accommodating.... Can't beat the rates

The people at the front desk were nice and helpful. I wasn't happy with the room we stayed in at first because it started leaking in the bathroom. They immediately gave us a new room which we liked a lot more than the origional room we had. I would definitely reccommend this place because other hotels I've stayed in Vancouver have had quite a snobby […] atmosphere and this place is alot more laid back and not as pretentious Devamı

Rigtig godt isaer til denpris, vaerelset var hyggeligt og rent, personalet imodekommende og hoflige, ogsaa ligger det 5 min fra standley park og strand og 5 min til vancouver centrum... Faas ikke bedre til den pris...

C'est un hôtel bien correct, c'était propre et nous avions une très grandes chambre presque une suite. Il n'y avait pas de luxe mais son emplacement dans Vancouver était parfait.

Wir sind mit den Kindern in diesem Hotel für 2 Nächte geblieben. Es liegt günstig in der Downtown und unser Zimmer ging hintenraus. Zum Flur ist es etwas hellhörig, aber der Teppich schluckt den Schall ganz gut. Es gibt auch ein günstiges und leckeres Frühstück.

It was good for the price. And the front desk was very kind.

Barclay is central located and a good start for famous westside Robson Street as well as city center downtown. Closest train station 'City Center' 15min walk. Room (ground level #121) was tidy and reception 24h. Now the but: - shower hot water was not working one day (no discount, only offered other room for showering) - wireless connection / internet […] nearly never working or terribly slow (even to slow for email...) - wodden ceiling and walls make you hear every step of people walking in room above you; you can hear every word from guys next to you; slamming doors wake you up. If hotel is nearly empty (off season/during week) ok, but on weekend annoying ( I stayed 8 days). - TV very small - heater in room was centrally controlled; so the room was much to hot, only opening window helped. Aircon was disabled. You find definitely better value for a few more dollars. Devamı
