I was very disapointed about our stay nothing was pleasent about my stay wit my family and I will not stay with ur hotel again

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Mainsail Suites very much. Our suite was comfortable and clean and the pool was beautiful. And although the food in the restaurant was fine, it was screaming for some ambiance. It would have been perfect had you had a nice restaurant to match the beauty of the hotel.

The hotel or really, apartment, was clean and roomy. The 2 bed room apartment was so large that my family of 4 had room to spread out. Having 3 TV's was nice bonus too. Bring your own internet cable or pay $10 a day for wireless access. I assume this place is mostly for business travelers. So, that left to pool abandoned during the day. Many times, […] we were the only ones there. It was never crowded. If you have a car then the location isn't too bad. But you can't walk to anything from here. I would stay here again! Devamı

Over all the place is great for a family and/or long stay. It's like you have your own apartment. Though far from luxurious, rooms were clean and linenes were fresh with towels replaced daily. Breakfast not included with this stay. the ten dollars for self serve buffet is fair. I flew into Fort Myers after booking this suite in dec. 2011, Then after Delta lost my luggage I was informed that this hotel gave away my room. I will never ever ever book a hotel at this hotel again.

It's more like an apartment than a hotel. Full Kitchen & separate bedrooms with a living room.

My only concern was that I was surprised that there were to elevators to get to second and third floor suites. This is a necessity for those with mobility disabilities.

Room was located on 3rd floor with no elevator made arriving & departing a workout but staff did help when I asked! Staff was great! Pool didn't have enough chairs for everyone which was a obstacle...some gracious men gave up their chairs for me & my guests. Overall...satisfied!

We have been used to staying at the Marriott line of hotels, but our son found the Mainsail and it looked great on-line. The grounds were well kept, but the rooming facilities need updating in a big way. The bedroom had an Internet line, but no table or desk, the bedding was too small for comfort that we were fighting for the sheet/blanket. There are […] no hair dryers, coffee packets were on the counter, but there was no powder milk. Utensils were not in full sets of 4 or 8 but odds and ends. One day the cleaning crew forgot to make up our bed and take the dirty towels but left a bag of clean towels in a plastic bag hanging on the outside of our door. The porch sliding door handle was broken, the units are so close together that if you opened the blinds, everyone could see in as there were no curtains, just drapes. very comfortable and roomy. Like the fact that is was more of an apartment feel than a hotel. most of all clean. Only negative no free WiFi in the rooms. I had to bring my own ethernet cord to connect to the web at no charge.

I didn't get the one bedroom I paid for at the Mainsail . What I got was a two bedroom with four beds that was nasty smelly and very filthy. I will never stay at the Mainsail again!!

i would recommend this hotel but beware you will not be able to check in till after 3 pm and do not eat at restaurant, the service we had for breakfast was the worse. We actually had to get our own coffee and silver ware and had to ask for everything else a few times. and they still screwed up our order...

Missing towels, washer,dryer pillows, very worn furniture, for the price and advertismt very dissappointed, call front desk to ask took 12 rings to get anybody and person in charge to handle problem not in and never called us back. Was coming back in June but will not stay there again and will not recom.

Was great for a nights layover

Nice 1BR furnished apt with a small balcony in gated complex. Comfortable lodgings, nice clubhouse. A little difficult to find, but okay if you're paying attention. Very close to airport, with a gas station close by. Buildings have 3 levels, covered outdoor stairs only. Staff was very helpful. Close to the airport, but not bothered by airport noise. Rooms were spacious, although the furniture could have been a little more comfortable. Carpets need to be refreshed or replaced soon. Fitness area was good, but the exercise bike needs to be replaced - inop and very uncomfortable. Laundry facility was convenient. Grounds were neat and clean. The overall place is nice the rooms are dated. The rooms are more like an apartment. There is noise from the airport.

This hotel was beautiful! I like the way it is layed out. The rooms were clean and spacious. It'd be a great place to stay for a lengthy vacation (winter where it's warm)... The staff was very friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good! We had a great experience here! :)

The room was nice and conveniently located. The transportation service was outstanding. My only complaint was the extremely slow internet service that they wanted to charge $9.95 for a 24 hour stretch for. About 15 minutes after banging my head at the slow speed of the internet I simply called the front desk and they were more than happy to adjust the […] charge on my room so that I was not charged for internet service. But I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Tampa. Conveniently located near the airport and it just so happened to be close to where I needed to travel as well. Devamı

Low end furnishings with a bed so low that it looked like the mattress was sitting on the floor.Room was very clean and quiet. Total of three plastic hangers in the closet.

We stayed at this hotel for Gasparilla. It was reviewed as a 3.5 star hotel, but I'd definitely say 3 at best and more like 2 or 2.5 stars. The room itself was clean and fairly large. However, the hotel itself is more like an extended stay hotel. The people we saw living in the hotel that were staying up late making noise or playing basketball did not […] make us feel comfortable leaving our car there. The hotel is gated, but several times, shady looking individuals followed cars in through the gates and came and went as they pleased. We only interacted with the staff twice. Once, the cleaning ladies came by around 1pm and wanted to clean the room. We were going to leave in about 15 minutes and asked them if they could come back, but they said that it would be too far out of their way and they could not so they just left towels. That isn't too bad, but later, I called the front desk asking them to call a taxi for us. The lady there said that it would take her too long to do and she could give me the number. I know it sounds a bit snobby, but when I call a concierge, I expect them to take care of travel for me. I was able to look up a taxi number and call it myself very easily, so they should have been too, and could have been a bit more polite about it. All in all, this hotel was not what I expected when I saw it got 3.5 stars and I would not recommend staying there. Devamı

The Main Sail is very close to the airport and the rooms are great. It is like staying in an apartment. The room had a full kitchen and made it that much nicer during my extended stay.

Some of the worst service in the restaurant I have ever experienced.

Stayed for a long weekend with the kids and the in-laws. The 2 bedroom suite was a great deal for 6 people - beats getting 2 hotel rooms - plus the kitchen meant not having to dine out every night and be able to bring some comforts from home. Good central location (though not the easiest hotel to get to) for St Pete's beaches & Busch Gardens. It seems […] to be an apartment complex modified into a conference center and executive suites. Grounds are well kept. Internet is extra per day but there are free computers to use in the lobby area. Nice fitness center & pool. Didn't try the bar/restaurant but looked nice enough. This place reminded me of a low rent apartment building. Hard bed, cheap finishing, not up to date. It's off a one way street and has a small strip mall type sign that leads you back to the main complex. Poorly designed traffic flow. We had to circle the block because we missed it the first time. There was a used bandage on the floor in the bathroom. […] This is step up as a cheap as possible extended stay place. It's definitely not a good choice for a crash pad before a taking a early morning flight. Even though, it does have hotel shuttle service and is only a few minutes away.... Also if you are headed to the airport make sure you have 50 cents in your pocket because the off ramp from this hotel has a 50 cent unattended tool booth with threatening signs you will be prosecuted for not paying this toll! We had a pleasant stay. It is located near the airport so a little noisy, but overall it was good.

The photos of this site didn't match reality. The room we went with was a 2 bedroom and was large, but very boring and worn somewhat. The property is odd and feels more like an inner city condo complex than a hotel.

Like this hotel, very nice place the only problem is it is difficult to find the staff was very helpful.

Nice hotel accommodations. Stayed at the hotel for 8 days. The hotel is more of a resort style setting. The hotel has a nice weight room and a small but decent restaurant. There are numerous restaurants in close vacinity of the hotel. The first 4 days, my wife and I were in a 2 - bedroom unit, nice clean unit, with 3 flat screen televisions. I had no […] complaints. We returned to the Mainsail Hotel 7 days later and stayed 4 additional days. Again we stayed in a decent unit. The carpet in the living area as stained and the house keeping saff could have done a better cleaning the unit. But it was during the New Years Holidays and I am sure the housekeeping staff were not interested in working. Several days the housekeeping staff failed to leave wash and hand towels. I had several other small complaints but overall the 4 day stay was pretty good. The unit only had one flat screen television and outdated televisions in the 2-bedrooms. Nice gated facility with a very nice landscape, which made it nice for walking around the facility. The bottom line, I would recommend the hotel and I will make plans to stay there in the future. Stayed at the hotel over the New Years holiday and was 100% satisfied. For the money, it was an excellent value. When comparing this hotel to other "suite-type" hotels, the price here was so much cheaper I almost did not select Mainsail. I thought it was too good to be true. But glad I did and glad we stayed there.

i do not enjoy staying at hotels . i was very happy when i walked into the room it was more than i expected and worked very well for 3 adults. the staff was very helpful and friendly will most definitly stay again.

This is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in; even though it is an older hotel. This included the full kitchen and both bathrooms. Large living areas and convient location are great assets. It was near restaurants, grocery stores, movie theatres and shopping malls. Meals were easy to prepare as cookware was provided in the full size kitchen. The […] beds were newer but somewhat firm. We very much enjoyed our stay at Mainsail suites. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The rooms have a full kitchen, and separate bedroom and bathroom. We were fairly close to some major attractions including the zoo and busch gardens, and only about 30 minutes from the clearwater marine aquarium. Great value for the cost!

We travel to Florida many times a year for pleasure. Usually we stay in the Pinellas on the beach, but the water is too cold to go into in Nov. Dec. Jan.Feb. so it seems a total waste of money to be on the beach and you can't use the water. We though we would try a hotel less expensive than the beach condos and more inland. This hotel was great. Two […] bedroom roomy suite, just like a condo. Cleaned perfectly, maid service everyday, changes sheets towels everyday. Cleans your dishes for you, outstanding. The pool was absolutely the best pool at a hotel we have ever seen, and we stay ay 5 star hotels also. Big pool, not crowded and heated to nice and warm, not cold like other hotel/condos. Food in Pinellas beach area restaurants is just adequate except for Don Cesars which is great. But inland in this area around this hotel had one great restaurant after another , outstanding quality food every night. Worth it alone for that. Definitely staying there again. Positives: The hotel is a good value, which does not mean cheap, but that one will receive good value for the cost. Pleasant staff, a large and comfortable suite which was clean, quiet and tidy. I would stay here again. Negatives: I missed having a hairdryer in the room, and was disappointed in the restaurant. We travelled with the group of 6 people. We all were placed in buildings very far from each other. we arrived around 11 pm after traveling several hours, restaurant was already closed, and no any place around to eat. WiFI internet only available in the 'clubhouse'.

I was traveling alone and needed to be near the airport for one night while awaiting colleagues. This facility is secure, clean, and accomodating. The only downside was no elevators and you'll need to carry your bags up the stairs. Very spacious, very clean and comfortable.
