Didn't know it was under construction - VERY messy. Couldn't get extra pillows, wasn't happny about that. TV reception was the PITS.

I do not know where to start... From the Dirty rooms to the so called Breakfast....No lights at night in parking lot... unsafe enterance due to construction. Dirty laundry room.... O I could go on and I have pictures... NO one cared due to the hotel is being purchused by Comfort Inns so no one will take responsibility....

This hotel worked great for me -- in town overnight for a conference at ONU (to which it is very convenient). The staff went "above and beyond the call of duty" to get me into a room early and the room they gave me was wonderful - spacious, clean, comfortable. Everything one would need is there, including an ironing board/iron. The only good thing about this hotel was the price and location. Just remember you get what you pay for! I arrived to check in around 6pm and was greeted by a blond haired lady at the front desk AFTER she was done talking to a staff member who had been outside on a break, about her meetings with what i asume was a boyfriend. Nothing of importance and […] way to much information was shared for me to care to talk about on here. I let the unprofessional care she gave me slide, and went to check in. They did not have the room i reserved available so she changed the room. This was fine and i just wanted to get some rest. The room has scratchy sheets and blankets, was freezing cold but could not get an answer at front desk to get some help with this, and could not find a person when i walked up to the counter. I huddled under my scratchy blankets, and woke up the next morning to bad coffee, milk that was sitting out in a tub of ice, cereal and bagels that i had to cook in a broken toaster. When i went to check out the man at the front desk told me they couldnt find me in their system and that the paper i had signed was not there. After giving him my confirmation number 5 times that i had recieved from booking with this site he wrote down a credit card number ( the whole thing) on a peice of paper and said well is this your number i said no and was appauled that they gave me someone elses information so easily. I tried to hand it back to him but he did not take it. I ripped it up and threw it away to save someone elses information for them. He then asked me to pay for the room again, saying my card had been declined. I HAD ALREADY PAID THROUGH THIS SITE. I called the help support line at hotels and got someone to help me there make the person understand that i had paid and they needed to let me check out. The support tried to send faxes to the hotel but their fax wouldnt work. Finally another young man came in 45 min later and figured out what had went wrong on their part the Devamı

The best thing about this hotel was the desk clerk was very courteous and friendly. The hotel, itself, was filthy. There was no soap to wash with, only shampoo. The towels were flimsy. Dust was all along the floor boards. The breakfast the next morning was primarily toast. I will avoid this chain in the future.

Sink looks cracked, Wall paper peeling off the walls in the bath room, and the toilet over-flowed. They did move us to a new room.

i just recently moved to Kankakee. i choose this hotel to stay at till my apartment was ready for me to move in. Half of the outlets did not work. my room window would not lock shut. housekeeping was a joke. i had two beds. slept in one and they did make the bed. the floor was never clean. the ac/hearter unit leacked. they main lobby itself was a joke. […] you get what you pay for. on the plus side, the location was close to taget and a few good eating places. but there is also 2 other hotels in the same area that are alittle bit more. i wish i would of spent the extra money for one of those rooms. i would use this hotel as a last resort. Very friendly staff n very inexpensive

The "breakfast buffet" was a joke...they used styrofoam bowls to make the oatmeal in the microwave and the only offering besides that was toast or cereal. The "orange juice:" was only orange water. VERY dissappointing. The room had a strange smell, although the soundproofing in the hotel was awesome!. Spiders in bed, broken lamp shades, mold in shower, dirty carpet, blood on couch, mirrors and sink in disrepair. Don't be fooled by the nice lobby, this place is disgusting!

GREAT place to stay... got the room via internet, excellent price for two-=day stay. Rooms large and well furnished, shower with plenty of HOT water... TV worked well...beds quite comfortable, something I am senstive to as I spend much time in various beds traveling. yes, I'd highly recomment it... oh, also, there's a "grand staircase" from ground floor […] to next one up, which makes quite an impression... The carpet in the room was dirty and it was bumpy in the middle(like it needed to be restretched and the room being a handicapped room it should have been taken care of. The T.V. in the lobby was horrible--needs to be replaced as you can't see the screen. Had to have a key replaced as the cleaning room picked one of ours up.

I wondered if the sheets were clean. Several little strings, stains, and tiny pieces of ? were questionable. But the hotel location, across from a really good strip mall and next door to Tucci's was a great surprise- very good Italian food just a few steps from the hotel. The commode tank was broken and I had to wade across the floor to turn off the […] water. A bit of trouble to move everything to another room. When I tried to phone the desk, I couldn't get an answer thus I waded in several inches of water to turn it off. Once the manager arrived, he asked me if I had flushed the commode twice causing it to overflow. It was apparent the water had been coming from the tank. I had thrown all the towels in the bathroom floor to try to stem the flow of water onto the carpet and thought the manager should have been appreciative that I didn't let the water soak everything. I wasn't very happy with the cleanliness of the room at all. I wanted a smoke-free room and it smell of mildew and smoke. I found ashed on the floor and the air-condition leaked water all over the floor. Luckily nothing got wet. The bathroom area by the sink had what looked like, blood stains on the carpet. Was very pleased at the cleanliness and comfort. Close to expressway and shopping/restaurants. Will definately stay again and have already referred to other family members. Wasn't thrilled with the free breakfast though....not much of a selection...but it was included in room charges. If anything, it was convenient and all-you-could-eat.

Bad timing for us as we enjoy quiet. Several pre-teens there for swim competition. Before entering our room, young girls were having a race with dog down the halls. And then at 10 o'clock at night they were yelling and screaming in the halls. Room was almost clean.

Make sure to clarify with this hotel before you book online as the information given on this site is not always correct. We put through for a room and were placed in a standard room even when the description said all rooms had whirlpool tubs. They did bump us up with not problem but then that room had a double bed with the whirlpool that was bigger […] then the bed. Overall it was an alright stay but would appreciate better customer service as the breakfast was not buffet like it has been in past times we have stayed there and we had to ask the desk clerk to put it out two hours past the time it was suppose to. For paying the amount we did it should have been a buffet not contenential. Devamı

They were extremely helpful with our special needs and let us check in early and reassigned a room with easy access to a exterior door since we had one person on crutches.

We stayed in this location when it was Lees Inn. It was new and elegant at that time. It has now aged, as we all do. The smell mentioned by other reviews was still there. Musty sort of wet dog smell but strangely it seemed to be coming from the surrounding area. I caught a wiff of it when walking in the neighborhood. The room was clean and comfortable. […] It could use some new furniture. Definetly needs new towels and they are stingy with the towels. The outside needs a little TLC. Devamı

An older hotel, but well maintained. The room was nice, and clean. The staff was curteous and helpful. I will stay here again the next time I'm in the area. It was a comfortable place to stay for the price.

We were very disappointed to not get the King size bed requested. Also, the hot tub was extremely hot - too hot to use and the pool (although big) was the opposite....extremely cold. The whole hotel smelled of cigarettes and dogs.

I thought the breakfast could have had more of a selection

For the money we were quite pleased with our rooms. We were in town for a gymnastics meet and just needed a place to stay near the Sportsplex and found it to be nicer than we would have expected for the price.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise beautiful lobby and one of the quietest hotels we've stayed in the last three years. The only down side was the breakfast was very limited. A very good hotel for an economy price.

We quipped that a hotel that has to call itself "Best" probably isn't. That certainly is the case with this hotel. The electrical wiring in our room was so messed up, there were extension cords plugged into extension cords. The bedside lamps couldn't be on unless the hall light, which was too bright to begin with, was also left on. The room was drab […] and outdated. The bathroom was designed so poorly, that the towels were knocked off the rack when you closed the door, and the sink looked like a spider web with all the cracks in the porcelain. The TV would qualify as an antique if you took it to the Roadshow! We have family and friends in that area and will be returning later this year for a wedding. Rest assured we will NOT be staying at America's Best/Worst Hotel! Devamı

it was by far the best stay i have had in a hotel in a long time. not only was it quiet and clean the layout made me feel like i was in a house not a hotel. it was great . and the price was definatly a steal. thanks hotel.com

Wonderful accomadations.

Room is very dated and smelled stale or like "feet" B/R sink all cracked up. Motel in need of remodeling and beds were very old and not comfortable. Room other than old dirty looking carpet and decor seemed clean enough. Linens appeared fresh/clean. Listed as always having been a non-smoking room?? Pool, hot tub and patio area were great. The Hotel has an older facilities, the bathroom sink was cracked, the bath towels were too small, only had wash towels not bath towel.We had to ask the front desk for room deoderizer. The room was too stuffy it seem to be not cleaned for a few days. The Lounge chair stool was soiled, with,??? We got there and the toilet seat was broken and they didn't fix it until the next day. The people next to us had two big dogs and they barked all the time and there was more than the allowed people in the room.

We were very surprised by this hotel- 1st time we stayed at this chain of hotels and will do so again. it was clean and comfortable. the only down side was the cont breakfast- it very skimpy and the juice machine did not work. otherwise very nice.

Do not stay here not worth the money

They cleaned my room for the second nights stay but didn't leave coffee or cups. I asked and these things were brought. I had to ask about a couple things but then the service was done.

I would not recommend this hotel. The room was very dirty and smelly. I hated to even walk barefooted on the filthy carpet . There was a sticky bug trap behind the night stand. Even though we didn't see bugs, that trap must have been there for a reason. Don't be fooled by the entrance/lobby. The entrance/lobby of the hotel looks fairly nice. The rooms […] are NOT nice. This being said, that staff at the front desk were courteous and friendly. It is not their fault that the rooms are so bad. Devamı
