The hotel is easy to reach by bus 22 and 48, and it takes just 10minutes and bus stops are right in front of the hotel. The area is quite industrious so don't go there if you're looking for a nice view from a window. The lack of view wasn't a big thing for us, and there is a lot of art in the hotel's common areas. We couldn't book a double room (only […] a twin) from hotelscom, but I sent after reservation an email to the hotel if we could have a double bed. And they arranged us a double deluxe room! It was small and cosy and had the biggest double bed we have ever seen. So a big plus for the hotel for arranging the bed problem. All the hotel restaurants are quite expensive, so we didn't use their services. We put our small breakfast (fruits and juice) near the window to be cool because the minibar is automatic and if you take anything away, you have to pay it even if you don't consume it. The staff was helpful and quick! It didn't take a long time to check-in or check-out. One concerning thing in our room was that there were only little light, no ceiling lamp for instance. If you need light to do your make-up, it might be a bit hard. Devamı

The hotel was located away from all the chaos and noise. I liked the hotel as it was clean and comfortable. If you want to be right in the middle of all the shops and tourists, this may be too quiet for you.

The hotel is very nice but the location is not great. Althought there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel and it will take around 10-15 min to get to Amsterdan Central Station. We loved the design and the fresh look and feel of Westcourt Art Hotel. The service is also good, they do everything they can to make your stay pleasent. The rooms are […] very confortable and the beds are really nice but if you have the bad luck of getting your room next to the corredor entrance you will get loads of noise during the night as people constantly open and close the main door and it can be quite annoying. I would say that is the only downside of the hotel.. so if you make sure your room is at the end of the coridor, you will have a great time at the Westcourt Art hotel. Devamı

This hotel is located at Jordaan, a neighborhood a bit further from the city center. However - the hotel has a bus stop right at the front which will take you directly to the central station (located right next to the Dam Square) in a less than 15 minutes ride. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and costs a lot less than other, less comfortable, […] hotels in the city center. Just note that the breakfast price is not included. Devamı

Location isn't great - it's in a more residential neighborhood, but the very reliable tram system stops right outside the hotel door and you can get downtown very easily. It's only about a mile or so walk, so it's not so bad. The rooms were very nice, very clean - we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The hotel is very "artsy" but nice and clean, and a big room, particularly for Amsterdam. For Amsterdam it was very reasonably priced. It is about a 15 minute bus ride from the center of town and late the buses run only once an hour. One bus driver went right past the stop and we had to pay again to get back to the hotel. although the hotel is clean and in good condition, it is not centrally located. Bus 48 (which only takes you to the Central Station) will leave you in front of the hotel, but you will have to risk your life to cross the motorway in front of it -not particularly ideal if you are travelling with children or elderly people. Plus, there is no proper crossing […] so you will have to step in the garden in the middle of the road. Buss 22 (again, only good to get to the Central station) will leave you nearby too, but it is dark walk at night. Rooms were alright, but sincerely we were expecting more. In general, not a terrible experience but if possible try to stay more centrally located place. If you catch bad weather as we did, going back to your hotel can be a nuissance. Devamı

I found the hotel to be about as perfect as could be! The service was excellent, and my friend and I took advantage of the great bar/pub more than anything. Only a 10-15 bus ride to the center station, which the stop is directly out front of the hotel. The bar also had great snacks and food. Skipped breakfasts since 18 Euros seemed to be rather pricey, […] but did have plenty of other meals. We were both content. Rooms were clean and compfortable. I'd definately stay again Devamı

Wonderful hotel staff. Easy enough to get to center of city with lots of restaurants and markets within walking distance. Nice surprise that triple booking was a second bedroom for teenage daughter.

Very comfortable reasonably priced hotel! Underground car park and bus stop outside for direct link to central station in 10mins. They also hire Vespas if your feeling more adventurous. 1 of the few to still offer smoking rooms!

The hotel locates in a quiet area, not far from the supermarket and park. just some steps to the bus stop. so even it's not central, the transportation is good enough. The only problem I had there was about the wakeup service. I tried to call the reception for waking me up at early morning, but didn't really get the wakingup call. Too expensive compared to those with the same service level. (1) Uncomfortable beds (not fixed mattresses, uncomfortable to sleep on it) (2) Facilities: Poor But the staff was great and helpful.

a fantastic hotel about 10 mins from city centre, just take the 48 bus and you are there, highly recommended. Rooms very clean, staff very helpful and the quality of food and bar service fantastic!

In brief: I was impressed with this hotel. It's a modern building with comfortable rooms, situated to the northwest of the city centre, 10 mins bus ride from Central Station. Surroundings: The hotel is on a main road, at the edge of a residential area, not far from the docks (which have mostly been redeveloped into offices e.t.c). There is a frequent […] bus service to Central station, which takes 10 minutes and stops right outside the hotel. To walk into the centre takes about 40 minutes, via Spaarndammerstraat and Haarlemmerplein. You can find an Albert Heijn supermarket and some other shops five minutes walk down the street. Also, it is possible to cross under the railway and walk into the Westerpark. Room: I was very pleased with my 3 star room (there are also more expensive 4 star rooms within the same hotel building). The room was fairly large by Amsterdam standards, a very comfortable bed, good size bathroom, a proper shower with reliable hot water and a useful in-room safe. The room was in good condition, the only (minor) criticism I can think of is that some of the decor was a little drab in colour (I think the 4 star rooms have more of a designer look). The building is modern, and there are funky paintings in the hotel reception and in the public areas of the hotel. Views: The rooms at the front look out over a main road. My room, at the rear of the building, looked out over a swimming pool, a grassed area with a few trees and across some railway sidings towards the centre of the city. With the window closed, I couldn't hear any noise whatsoever. One other comment - the hotel restaurant remains open, but the brasserie is currently (April 2011) being refurbished. I imagine it will reopen for the summer season. There is some occasional minor building noise during the day, but the working area is boarded off from the hotel reception and wasn't very noticeable or disruptive. Devamı

Me and 3 friends (all girls-age 22/23) went to Amsterdam for the weekend and decided to stay at the Art hotel, since it had good reviews and looked pretty decent. It was everything we expected, clean, comfy and a nice calm base, away from some of the shabby looking places right in the centre. Ok, so it's a 10 min bus ride to Central Station, but that […] really wasnt a problem, we even got a 5am bus back to the hotel!!!! The staff were friendly enough, and helpful. This was our second time at the Westcord Art, Close to the centre of Amsterdam, Just a 20- 25 minute walk from the hotel, and some Really nice shops on the way, Staff were helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Was also relieved that you are allowed to smoke in some of the rooms,as going out for a cigarette in - 4 wind chill in the rain was […] not a welcome prospect. We were really supirsed by the quality of this 3 star hotel, everything about it was of 4 star standard! The only down point was that the staff could have been more friendly, but they were very professional and polite but could have been a bit more chatty!

The Westcord Art Amsterdam 3* was a pretty good place to crash while we were in Amsterdam for 3 nights. It's a bit far from city center but if you get a bus/tram pass, you'll be fine as the bus stops right outside the hotel. If you're coming from Central Station, I would advise taking the 48 bus to the hotel rather than taking a taxi, which will set […] you back 20 Euro. The room was clean although there was a bit of a musty odor in the bathroom. The kingsized bed was two twins pushed together, which is awkward for 2 people. Good bar in the lobby. Devamı

Staff at reception and the bar were friendly and helpful. Although not in the heart of the city it was only a 10 minute bus ride and the buses came every 15 minutes. Rooms were clean and comfortable

I stayed for 3 nights at the Art Hotel. I loved it! It was distinctive and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly. The bar/restaurant on site is good and the lady at the bar remembered us and engaged us in conversation. The room seemed decently sized to me, but this was after a tiny attic room in Paris. The artwork in my room (Sunflowers! which […] I got to see at the Van Gogh museum!) added a nice touch as did the objets d'arte all through the hotel. The location isn't ideal for exploring, but it hardly matters because the 48 bus stops right in front of the hotel and runs from Centraal. It comes every 15 min or so. It makes the distance to city center seem inconsequential. I didn't mind the bus ride at all especially for such an otherwise wonderful hotel. Devamı

The hotel was trendy and comfortable and, though located a few kilometers out of the city center, the bus to the central train station stops just outside the doors. Overall we enjoyed a wonderful experience and the staff were truly helpful!

Hotel is very nice and about 10 minute bus #48 ride from the main train station that drops you right in front of the hotel. However there are 2 hotels with same name owned by the same company and when I booked the hotel from Hotels.ca both addresses were given on the reservation confirmation and therefore I ended up at the wrong location after a long […] walk. It would helpful if the hotel site had clear information how to get there. None the less it is a nice hotel, food prices are a bit on the high side. Devamı

Friendly & helpful service. Great location, very nice room.

Staying at Westcord Art Amsterdam was an amazing experience. It is very close to the city centre by bus for people who actually want to stay a little away from the red light district. I would definitely stay there on my next trip to Amsterdam and I highly recommend it to anyone!!!!

Brilliant! Book it! No, I don't work for them. I was extremely satisfied with this accomodation. I got a free upgrade on arrival to a better room. The place was fantastic. Staff friendly, kind, efficient and welcoming! I can't really fault the place with the exception of saying that the buffet breakfast was a little on the expensive side. That said […] - it was delicious and lots of it. Seriously - book this place. You won't be dissapointed. I certainly would go there again in a heart beat! Devamı

Arrived after 2000 on Friday and no problem checking in. The hotel is walking distance to Amsterdam Central but we had the tourist 3 day pass and regulary used the bus. I liked the fact that you had to use your room card to access the lift and access doors to room corridors. Only gripe is that (1) as the bar giving access to the outdoor swimming pool […] was not open on Saturday we could not have access to the pool / garden (guests in the other block did have access) however did open on Sunday morning; and (2)although there were coffee and tea making facilities in the room there was no milk. If we returned to Amsterdam I would definitely consider using this hotel again (could not fault the bar service as hardly anyone was using the bar). NB 72 hour travel pass for approx 24 Euros per person is available from Tourist Information at Schipol Airport obtain before going to Hotel as includes train fare to Amsterdam Central (and return) and use of trams and busses (No 22 bus to hotel if you tell the driver he will tell you when to alight.). The hotel is a bit away from the city centre, you can't walk. It's in a very quite area, nothing is happening close to it. Staff is friendly, everything is more or less like you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. We stayed here because it was considerably cheaper than to stay in the city centre.

The place would be great if they would have 1 queen or full bed instead of pushing 2 twins together

The hotel is not located in central Amsterdam, but it is easy enough to get there either by a bus which stops right in front of the hotel, or, as I would recommend, by renting bicycles. It is by far the best way to get around Amsterdam.

The hotel is great. Its just outside the City, but the main bus that goes to and from the City Center Train station is right in front of the hotel. Its not a long cab ride either. This is good because it makes for quiet restful nights, while maintaining a heightened convenience. Also, the hotel rents bikes and vespas! I definitely recommend.

I chose this hotel after I read some good reviews. The staff were very friendly and informative. Firstly, the journey from the airport was extremely easy. The hotel is halfway between the airport and Amsterdam Central station so you don't need to go all the way to Central Station. You can get off at Sloterdijk station and then bus 48 which stops right […] outside the hotel (this is actually the bus that you would catch to go into Central Amsterdam. The room was very clean and plenty of space. The room was cleaned everyday to a high standard. The bus trip in to town was very easy - most of the time buses were running once every 10 minutes. We ate at the hotel the first evening. The menu at the restaurant was very limited, so we moved to the pub to have some "bar food". The food was OK and the service was friendly, but we did pay 90 euros which was too expensive. I would definitely stay at the hotel again, but I was wondering if the Westcord Hotel in Central Amsterdam would be the same quality, if so, then might as well stay in a Central location?? Devamı

This is the second time I have stayed here, and I think that it is very nice. We drove, and they have a secured parking garage. The hotel is about a 10 minute bus ride from Central Station. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, so I would suggest getting a 24 hour pass, which can be used for the trams also.

Es war alles in Ordnung. Die Zimmer sauber, der Service einwandfrei. Vor dem Haus bedienen 2 Buslinien die Haltestelle, sodass man maximal 10 Minuten auf den nächsten Bus warten muss, der dann in 10-15 Minuten am Hauptbahnhof ist. So gesehen, ist das Hotel wirklich gut gelegen. Störend war nur die laute Straße. Fenster offen lassen war nur mit Oropax […] möglich. Wenn möglich, sollte man ein Zimmer auf die andere Seite buchen, da ist es bestimmt leiser. Devamı

Perfekt hotell om du ikke vil bo midt i gryta. Ligger 10 min med buss utenfor sentrum. 2 bussruter stopper rett utenfor hotellet. Ellers et veldig fresht hotel, føltes som vi bodde på et kunstgalleri. Og frokosten var utrolig deilig! Eneste minus - litt varmt på rommet når vi skulle sove, eller ingenting å utsette!

Als wir am Samstag ankamen, war nur ein Zimmer frei. Wir bezogen dieses (607) und bekamen bereits alle Unterlagen (außer der Karte zum Zimmereintritt) und verließen das Hotel. Am Abend bekamen wir dann die Zutrittskarte für Zimmer 608 und machten uns auf den Weg. Als wir die Tür öffneten erkannten wir sofort, dass dieses Zimmer belegt war. Die Reklamation […] an der Rezeption ergab, dass das Zimmer zwischenzeitlich an jemand anderen vergeben war. Wir mussten dann in den vier Sternebereich umziehen und unsere Söhne im drei Sternebereich zurücklassen. Man gab uns einen Gutschein für vier Willkommensdrinks um die Situation abzuschwächen. Beim Einreichen des Gutscheins bekamen wir wahlweise Softdrink, Bier oder Wein. Das war eine Frechheit. Beim Frühstückbuffet dauerte es sehr lange, bis Wurst und Käse nachgefüllt wurde. Am zweiten Tag gab es auch nur Ananas. Sonstiges Obst war Fehlanzeige. Der Satz "you are wellcome" konnte nicht entsprechend umgesetzt werden. Da könnte man sich am Grand Mediterraneo auf Korfu ein Beipiel nehmen. Da war der Satz mit dem Gefühl gleichlautent. Wir hoffen, Ihnen mit unserer Bewertung geholfen zu haben und verbleiben mit freundlichen Grüßen Devamı

Bra hotel, med svært bra restaurant. Helt grei pris på 3 retters middag. Jobber som kokk selv, så maten betyr mye for meg. God service, god vin. Frokost er dyrt, men det er det på alle hotell i hele Amsterdam. Praktisk med sykkelutleie... Anbefales som alternativ til buss. Desverre så er også prisen her noe høy, (15 euro pr dag) men gleden, og "praktiskheten" […] ved å sykle, overskygger prisen. Hotellet er lett tilgjengelig fra flyplassen. 40 euro med taxi til hotellet fra flyplassen. Behjelpelig personale, med god kjenskap til byen. Anbefales så absolutt. Devamı
