Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center - Washington

We've stayed here before while visiting our son at Georgetown University. It's VERY convenient, but pricey and not a lot to offer. Staff is nice. Nothing special about the rooms. No breakfast, no free wi-fi, etc. Cheaper places just across bridge in Virginia.

Hotel staff wonderful, great tips for restaurants, responded quickly to requests for extra pillows and cups for tea. Free shuttle bus to Dupont Circle was handy to go to a different area of the city for dinner. Walking distance to Georgetown center.

Spacious, comfortable, quiet room; very helpful staff. In building conveniently located next to the student center and Georgetown Hospital.

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. You are on the Georgetown campus and that is good, unless you want to go anywhere else in DC You can walk down the hill to Georgetown in about 10 minutes. You can catch a campus bus into Dupont Circle, but we had to discover this on our own. My chief complaint was the front desk, which was some time completely […] unstaffed and usually unhelpful. It took us 4 days to find a restaurant on the far side of a parking lot where you could get breakfast for less than $15.99 or a drink in the evening, but it closed at 10 pm. If your business is at Georgetown U, I highly recommend it, otherwise I'd find another hotel. Devamı

Had a pleasant room in this very conveniently located hotel on campus. Only issue we had was that it was difficult to find driving in given surrounding construction and lack of signage. Had to call hotel for turn by turn instructions.

Good Hotel, great location. I wish they had free internet rather than charge over $12 daily, and a movie chanel would have been nice. The room was great, but the bathroom left a little to be desired. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet ran all night, and I had to call for service, the grout was ancient. The faculty room breakfast left a lot to be desired […] for the price, although I have to admit I do not know the Georgetown area and it may be representative? Front desk was very helpful. Devamı

Two jackets were left in our room at check out. 90 minutes later, the staff were only able to recover one of the jackets and not explain what happened to the other. After two weeks, I've had no response to my note to the hotel's manager.

Excellent room with great weekend prices and convenience to Georgetown U can't be beat. Free guest laundry. Access to Georgetown "M" street shopping, was awkward, however, requiring a 15 minute walk with a significant incline in one direction. Access to mass transit is similarly limited, and was thus disappointing for visiting GWU campus or tourist […] sites. We ended up paying for several taxis. On site restaurant access was similarly limited.This was the only hotel during our 3 week trip that attempted to charge for internet access and printing. The staff only reluctantly offered that the ADJACENT Georgetown University student lounge has free internet access and free public computers. Devamı

Our daughter attends Georgetown University. This is right on campus!! Great place!!

Great location! Helpfulf staff. Although room service was available a later dinner seating would have been nice as would a nice cocktail lounge.

I booked a room with two beds, as I was traveling with my son. Exsteamly disappointed with a room with a King size. I had to ask for a roll away. Very upset about that.

The hotel room was clean and very comfortable. Only problem was that we booked a room with two double beds and upon arrival received one king bed and a pull out sofa. We were informed that the hotel does not guarantee a two double bed room. We manage but it was not ideal.

The hotel was great. I loved the room and how clean they keep everything. Its location is wonderful and very quite. However, I think that for the price, it could certainly include internet access (which the guest has to pay for in addition to the room) and breakfast.

The toilet kept backing up. The carpet was wet over a large area where it must have been cleaned and it was sticky. We could not log on to the Internet and finally wewere given the Hotel staff's username and password to use it. No WIFI in the lobby. Staff was only okay-not particularly helpful or friendly. Location is great if you need to be on campus […] but otherwise they really have a long way to go in terms of condition of hotel and amenities. Devamı

We had a very good stay. Peter at the front desk was always extremely helpful in getting us cabs and also fixing anything that went wrong in the room. He is one of best front desk people that I met.

the only drawback of this hotel is the restaurant, it has an avearge breakfast buffet and only opens for dinner when they feel like it.

Despite the close proximity to Georgetown University, I would not recommend this hotel. My son and I arrived at 11:15 on Friday evening and there were a group of men standing outside the hotel drinking beer (beer cans were strewn about the entrance walkway). I told the front desk but nothing was done. There had been no prior notice but if you are using […] a debit card (our room was prepaid with a debit card), the hotel will charge you $100 that they claim will take 10 days to refund. When we got in the room (VERY small) the television was not working and there was a moldy odor in the hallway and room. Minimal amenities for the price. Would like bathrobes and larger bathroom. Sink is outside bathroom in entry. Location is inconvenient unless you don't intend to venture off Georgetown campus. Taxi service is limited especially at night when you really need one! Front desk staffing is spotty.

The hotel is conveniently located on the campus of Georgetown University and within walking distance to Georgetown's M Street. Parking is underground for an aditional charge per day. Very clean and comfortable.

Great hotel if you are visiting Georgetown, but if the front desk staff is on break, expect to wait a while for some service. Hopefully, you won't be in a hurry as I was.

We always stay at this hotel if we are visiting Georgetown University. It is right on campus so it is very convenient. One issue I had with the recent stay was the charge for the in room internet. The entire college campus is wireless but the hotel charges for internet access in the room. Also, even though you are a hotel guest you do not get a break […] on parking in the attached garage. Parking is expensive and although hospital visitors get a discount, hotel guests do not. That would have been helpful and expected given the charge for the room. Also, they could do alittle maintenance in the bathroom. I don't really like to see discolored/moldy grout. It wouldn't take much to clean that up. Also, no refrigerator in the room. Again, you can't beat the location if you are visiting the campus. It is alittle bit of a walk to get to the main strip - Wisconsin and M Street- but driving in Georgetown is a nightmare and parking is worse so walking is the best option. Devamı

Attending events at Geogetown University so this hotel is the perfect place to stay. Pillows not that comfortable and mattress was just OK. Staff was very nice.

There was definitely a smaller hotel feel. It was an appropriate deal for the price. Aside from small inconveniences, it was a nice place. The 9am knocks on the door from room service was an unwarranted and confusing wake up call. Check out was at 11AM and a little early for me, but worked. And the front desk couldn't make change for me nor could tell […] me where I could get that done. The metro subway didn't even come close to the Georgetown area which was one of the larger inconveniences. Overall the hotel and area was very nice Devamı

Perfect location for anyone needing to be at Georgetown Medical University. Very comfortable beds and clean rooms.

This hotel is fine. Annoying that they charge for wi-fi but not a deal breaker. The major drawback is lack of access to taxis. I asked for a taxi at 9am and by 9:30am one had yet to arrive. I mentioned to the front desk that there were no taxis and they suggested walking out to the street (which, by the way, isn't that close). No luck with taxis on […] the street either. Bedspread had noticeable "bodily fluids" on the underside. Hotel staff was very accommodating and changed out the linens. Other than that a very nice experience.

The hotel was very convenient to the meeting that I attended at the Georgetown Conference Center. The room was well appointed and comfortable and the service was excellent. The front desk and restaurant staff was very professional and friendly with a Southern Hospitality style. However, if you are visiting Washington, DC for sightseeing, you may want […] to find something a bit more centrally located. This hotel is located on the Georgetown University campus, behind the Georgetown Medical center. You have to get a cab to go anywhere, or the Georgetown U. shuttle. For road warriors out there, this hotel is very reminiscent of a Marriott Courtyard hotel prior to their recent renovations. I believe this hotel used to be a Marriott-run hotel but no longer is. I was at Georgetown on business for the week, so the hotel was very convenient in terms of location. The room was comfortable and room service was also a nice […] option instead of campus-style eateries. It was also within walking distance to Wisconsin Ave and M Street restaurants and shopping districts. Georgetown is overall a very nice place to stay. The only downside was trying to figure out the area transportation if you're new to the area. There are various buses you could take, but the Metro (red-line) is not within walking distance. There are usually cabs outside the hotel at certain times of the day. Devamı

I stayed at the hotel due to having surgery at Georgetown Hospital early the next morning. It would be very nice if the hotel offered a discount to patients. The hotel was quiet and the bed extremely comfortable.

this hotel has a great location for those visiting their Georgetown student, but the room is certainly way too dated, it's like staying at a days inn.

the room was comfortable but the room needed refurbishing. the lamp shade was torn, the carpet in the bathroom was very stained. the georgetown cookies were very welcome.
