"clean , friendly, retro design"
The hotel was clean and all staff were uber-friendly. The rooms were decorated in a retro-70s look. It was difficult to actually find the hotel from my MAPQUEST map. Once I found it all was ok. 10 minute walk to Beale Street, local park kind of creepy at night. Free breakfast good

The front desk staff were fantastic. We got the best welcome and laught with the staff at this hotel. Thank you to them for making you feel so welcome. Overall hotel is good. It is an older hotel but clean and has all you need with the tram stop right out the front and Walgreens across the road.

Very convenient--enjoyed the breakfast and free wireless. Walking distance to sights and restaurants. Parking was reasonable and convenient.

The guy at the valet was very nice and helpful. He was the first person we saw, he gave an excellent first impression. Normally, I would never valet a car that has had 3 kids in it for a very long trip (what a mess!)

Overall a good experience. We (2parents and 2 teen children) stayed in the historic part of the hotel for two night and were very happy with the room/suite. Breakfast was good and they kept everything clean, Housekeeping could have been a little more thorough and attentive to detail after the first night (e.g., we were a towel short, missed a couple […] spots in sweeping). "Christmas road trip"
We statyed at the hotel at the end of our Christmas road trip thru Tennessee. Very clean room. Nice to have 2 large flat screen TV's so kids could watch what they wanted to. Easy access to trolly(right out the back door) and Beale street. Wonerful continental breakfast with not just the usual pasteries~they had scrambles eggs, sausage, biscuts, bagels. Nice place downtown Memphis , big clean rooms, beautiful area , the only bad thing is that you have to pay $ 12 for self parking or valet.

"Nice Hotel downtown"
Hotel was really nice. The room was clean, and seemed to be updated. The staff was nice and helpful. Free breakfast was really good as well. If you book a room, ask to be on the side that the trolley is not on. Thursday morning we were woken up by the sound of the street crew blowing leaves off the street at 6 something in the morning. And then the […] trolley running back and forth made it hard to sleep. We asked them if we could switch that night and they moved us into another room on the other side of the hotel. Devamı

"Great for business traveler"
I was in town on business. The hotel was great for my needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The trolley service made getting around convenient without having to rent a car.

"Hotel was nice, but the service was not..."
The hotel is very nice, and in a good location, but the service was terrible. The two men at the front desk were extremely rude, and one of them was on his cell phone the whole time. They weren't any help when we asked any question, and they were rude if they did answer. Also, the valet guy was very rude. I expected a little southern hospitality, not […] the amount of rudeness which I experience. I will never stay at this hotel again. There are plenty of better places to stay in Memphis. Devamı

Had to call security people fighting in the hall drunk and local Police one time call to front desk and ask for a another room they said they could not move us would have to take it up with the front desk in the AM

Pleasant stay at the hotel, check in was a breeze, convenient valet parking, walking distance to great restaurants. Did find it a little difficult to drive to the hotel, as you must enter from Front Street, but I called and the hotel staff gave me perfect directions.

"Spring hill suites by Marriott in Memphis Tennesse"
This was the first time for my husband and I in Memphis. We decided we would book a good hotel as it was only for 3 nights. We stayed in the Marriott Spring hill suites, the hotel was lovely our room was spotless great beds. "Great Location for Beale Street"
The hotel is within walking distance of Beale Street and of the Mississippi riverfront. Walk to Beale Street or take the trolly for $1. Even at night the area is safe to walk. Rooms are clean, large and recently renovated. Rooms at the back of the hotel tend to be a bit noisy due to the trolly that runs behind the hotel. A hot breakfast with a good […] selection is served. Hotel was located in memphis and I liked the trolley car was right in front of it. Had to wait a long time to check in ,but rooms were really nice. Valet was convenient as well. Would stay there again. great breakfast too!
"Great, Almost..."
The room was very nice and comfy. The balcony had a nice view of a park and Main St. Elevators are very slow. Killed a small cockroach in the bathroom, then wondered how many we would take home with us. There are four hotels very close to each other but not one restaurant. If you want to eat, you either go to a restaurant, or have it delivered.
Excellent hotel. Convenient to Beale Street and others. Staff was great and will return again
"Springhill in Memphis TN"
Comfortable suite and helpful front desk staff made for a pleasant overnight stay in Memphis. We enjoyed a very ample breakfast, too. It's about a ten minute walk to Beale Street. GPS will find it difficult to locate main entrance due to one way streets.

"Excellent hotel and location"
Springhill Suites was very nice and in a great location. There was a park on both, front and back and the Mississippi River was a block away. You could walk most of the city with little effort. The trolley was right out side the hotel door and for $1.00 you can ride all over the city. Loved Beale Street, the food and the music.

"I can't believe I stayed here!"
When we entered our room there was mildew on the ceiling and walls of the bathroom and also around the shower/tub grout. The response from the staff was that was normal for here because of the humidity. we told them that my wife was particularly susceptible to the mildew spores. they said don't worry about it. ( we do). Finally they brought someone […] from maintenance to scrub the walls and the shower/tub while we had to be gone from the room for 2 hours. Subsequently, our room reeked of bleach the rest of our stay (one night). They never bothered to offer us another room perhaps they all had the same problem. We asked the front desk for change to ride the trolley to Beale Str. (The trolley is right outside the front door of the hotel) They told us to check with valet parking for change because they didn't have any change. They didn't have any either. We had to walk to Beale Str. past numerous homeless people who were very aggressive in their panhandling. Devamı

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to many attractions, including Beale Street. I will stay at this hotel the next time I am in Memphis.

The address of the hotel is listed as 21 N. Main. However, Main street is closed off to any traffic except the Trolley, carriages and pedestrians. They need to change the advertised address. After asking for advice to access the hotel, we had to back out of a dead end street and go around the block. "no title"
It was such a pleasure to stay here. Beale Street is only blocks away and an easy walk to a nice evening of food and music, or the carriage delivery to the door, or take the trolley. We had a very nice time and will only stay here when we return to Memphis.

"Perfect downtown location"
We had a very pleasant three days at this hotel. The room wasn't spacious, but the beds were incredibly comfy, we had a pretty balcony overlooking a lovely park, the breakfasts were hearty and the location terrific, with (fare=$1) trolleys literally right out the front door. We could walk to most of the places we wanted to see and while the downtown […] is undergoing a renaissance and can be a little dicey-feeling, the Blue Suede Brigade was there to assist tourists like us. We encountered a few panhandlers, but I was there (a single mama) with three daughters and never felt unsafe. (But then, we live in Chicago and are used to urban life.) We arrived on the City of New Orleans (train) at about 7AM - far too early to check in. Still, I asked if we could leave our luggage and at least use the restroom to change clothes and freshen up. Not only did front desk manager Jency invite us to have breakfast, she managed - on a day when the hotel was booked solid - to find us a room. After a sleepless night on the train, this was better than good news - it felt like a miracle. We were able to unpack and shower before heading off to the Memphis Zoo. Our experience was nothing short of perfect. I'd read negative comments about the staff on other reviews here, but I felt that everyone - Jency especially - treated us very well and contributed to an excellent three days in Memphis. Oh - there is one thing. The spa (hot tub) could have been a little hotter, but we loved the outdoor pool and made friends with guests who appeared to have come from all corners of the world. Devamı

Our room had a water problem. We where moved to another room. Breakfast was nice. I would stay their again.

Beautiful hotel, wonderfully located (does charge for parking). Room was gorgeous in restored historical building. Only gripe was that the free breakfast got totally overwhelmed with more than a half-hour before it ended, so that staff couldn't keep food or coffee provided readily.
