this hotel is really nice, we had a wonderful view from our room, very tasty breakfast. The location is perfect for the metro station, 3 mins walk to metro station. Lots of restaurants and cafe's around, resonable price, recommended

Probably the best thing about this hotel was the fantastic view of the Acropolis from our balcony. The room is pretty modern-looking in terms of room decorations, but cleanliness is lacking just a tad. It's convenient to get to from Monastiraki metro station, and very easy to walk to the major sights of historical Athens. The hotel was close to the metro and was also close to one of the hop-on/hop-off tour bus stops. Though some, especially Americans who may not be used to Europe, might think the neighborhood is "seedy", it really isn't. It is a working class neighborhood with many ordinary business and day to day people. There are plenty of restaurants and taverns a […] short distance from the hotel. The hotel staff was very polite and spoke good English. The breakfast was modest but adequate. The room was a good size, clean, and the beds comfortable. We stayed one night so it was ok, had to check out early so we didn't get to eat breakfast. there was a little bit of mold in the bathroom, the surrounding area was full of graffiti but that is a problem all over Athens.The mattress was hard for my taste. Hotel is located very near Restaurants, Railway Stations and a Square. Hotel staff very helpful, even gave us the choice of 2 rooms. Having breakfasts included was a great bonus. We were able to securely leave our room and travel overnight to Meteora, with the knowledge that all would be safe. This was a very nice hotel. The room was very clean and modern, and I was ABSOLUTELY in love with the bathroom. The roof garden was really cool too, since you could see the Acropolis from there. The only drawbacks I would point out would be the television and location. The TV was not a flat screen, and didn't offer as many channels, and as for location, […] although it wasn't really dodgy, it was a bit difficult to find in the middle of the buildings that were covered with graffitis. Very friendly employees, even walked my suitcase [sent late from airline/delayed] up to my room. Unbelievable variety of food for breakfast, and THE view of the Parthenon room the quiet and romantic roof deck! Who I am. I am a teacher in my mid thirties. I am doing a course in Athens and needed a place to stay for a short time while I sorted out long term accomodations. If you are looking for a honeymoon location, this probably isn't for you. The rooms were a little small, but this is Europe and besides, they were clean. There was a great view of the Acropolis […] from the roof, a decent breakfast, and the staff was friendly. The location seems a bit sketchy but you aren't far from the Plaka, and it isn't as bad as first impressions might make you believe. If you are on a budget, but want a clean, and pleasent place to stay, this hotel is for you. Some problems were the slow internet connection, the thin walls ( was on the top floor and heard people drinking on the terrace sometimes) and as another traveler noted, the drain in the shower was a little slow to drain. Found this hotel was perfectly located and the rooftop views are excellent. Walked to all the usual tourist attractions and museums-nothing further than a km in any direction. Metro is 350m away so easy to get to airport but watch for pickpockets. Plenty of eating places just around the corner and didn't find the alleys around the hotel to be of any […] concern, even very late as well lit up. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Avoid back rooms - the view is bit depressing. The imeldiate neighbourhood looks bad at first but there are nice surprises once you get used to it

The hotel surroundings are run down, or recovering, which detracts from the hotel, which is clean, very friendly, comfortable and quiet. Proximity of Metro, with direct run to airport is another plus. Being ion the periphery of a huge flea market on Sunday is entertaining. Good friendly places to eat 50m away. We never went further.

We loved staying here. Its hard to find at first if you don't know the area we once lived not far away so knew of the hotel but if you don't no the area get a very detailed map. The hotel was really great very clean staff were really helpful if you want an extra pillow or you safe doesn't work. The breakfast was good for Greek standards, Greeks don't […] do breakfast well but we never went without. The room was small but why would you want it any bugger when you are in Athens and have all that to explore, rooms are for sleep and that is all when on holiday. The bed was also very hard I loved it but my husband didn't sleep so well. Really good value for your money. If you are not looking for a five star hotel, I suggest you check ut this one, as it is a clean and comfortable hotel. The hotel is also good located, close to a lot of nice restaurants.

Very pleased with the choice of hotel. Great view from bedroom window, conveniently Located for all the main sights of Athens. Price was extremely fair for a highly rated 3 star. Ample breakfast and free wi-fi were a real bonus.

I stayed at the Arion for one night and it was a perfect stay in every way. The balcony of the room (6th floor) was incredible, with unobstructed views of the Acropolis! The room and the lobby areas were tidy and inviting, and the hotel staff (especially Alfredo) could not have been more accommodating, recommending the best route for seeing the important […] sights in the short time I had in Athens and nice places to eat. The neighbourhood (Psiri) is also very interesting, and I don't mean this is a negative way. Don't be mislead by the graffiti: Psiri is home to some wonderful restaurants and an active art scene, as well as being very close to the street markets of Omonia. It may have an edgy aesthetic, but as 27-year-old female, travelling on my own, and I felt perfectly safe in this neighbourhood, indeed safer than I did when walking around the more tourist-y areas. Nice opportunity to be very close to the centre, with easy access to the airport, but to be in area less populated by tourists. Devamı

We stayed at this hotel for the last night of our tour of Greece. We had stayed at 5 star hotels on the Greek Islands and thought we would save some money at this hotel which looked great from the website and in a decent area. Well, I wish we would have just spent more money for a nicer hotel. The website does a fantastic job of making the rooms look […] nice, but they really aren't that nice. Yes it has been renovated, poorly - it is still an old hotel with some flaws. First of all, the room was so small there was nowhere to open our suitcases except for on the bed so it was hard to get settled and move around. There is not really a shower curtain or door, but a half panel of glass that does not keep the water in the shower. You stepped out onto a floor of water everytime you showered. The hotel rooms could be cleaned better too... I found random hairs all over the room which was really discusting and we slept with the covers off because they didn't look too clean.... also the bed was not comfortable at all. While the hotel is close to many great things in Athens, it is still a bit of a walk through a pretty sketchy neighborhood. I would not return to this hotel and definitely would do more research. I have stayed at the Arion about ten times over the last six years and it has never disappointed. Perfect location. Clean modern rooms - attractive bathrooms and with luck - a balcony overlooking the church. Helpful relaxed hotel staff.

The hotel is located quite near to metro station, about 5-10 mins walk. The deco is contemporary and modern. The view from our room is fantastic. We have a clear view of acropolis and it is really awesome. The room we have is big and comes with bathtub. The receptionist is really helpful. When we checked out early morning, he offered to direct us to […] nearest metro station and tell us how to get to Piraeus Port. Their service is really excellent, willing to accommodate our request. Well located, near Plaka and Syntagma metro station. Big rooms, but quite old. Breakfest was poor but ok for the price. Good view to acropolis from the terrace where breakfest is served. My wife left her coat in a reception sofa for 10-15min and when she came back to ask for it, it had gone. We had a triple room, very clean and modern room and bathroom. Good location to explore from, 5min walk to subway and train station. Friendly staff, breakfast is so so, one computer available for internet use. If you want to see the ancient sites of Athens I recommend that all you need is one day. Hotel bathrooms in Europe are often cramped, lacking one item (changes with hotel) usually a good vent fan. And this is after massive remodeling. Also this one in Greece, used lots of marble on floors. I guess it's cheap there, and impressive to Americans, but very slippery. Ho trovato molto vantaggiosa la posizione, sia per chi sia interessato alla parte storica della città sia per chi dovesse spostarsi rapidamente verso zone meno pittoresche: la metropolitana di Monastiraki è a due passi, il quartiere di Psirri (con locali e ristoranti decisamente interessanti) a uno. L'albergo è pulito e accogliente. Assolutamente consigliabile, […] anche per il prezzo! God beliggenhet, nært alle severdigheter, men ikke mye støy. Super service. Rene rom. Vi skrev på ved bestilling: "please balcony if available", og fikk rom i 6. etasje med fin utsikt over Akropolis! Stor balkong. Greit å være klar over at badet/toalettet er bygget ut i rommene med glassdører (til dels frostet), så du bør kjenne reisefølget godt. Ok […] frokost, akkurat det du trenger, men ikke særlig mer. Vi drar gjerne tilbake til dette hotellet. Devamı

El hotel esta bien, la habitacion triple es una doble con cama adicional, por lo que queda chica para 3 personas. desayuno aceptable, esta bien ubicado muy cerca de la Plaza Monasteraki, lugar de reunion de mucha juventud por las noches, Es recomendable, teniendo en cuenta que las habitaciones son chicas. no mas de 2 personas.

Hotel à 2 mn de la station Monastiraki, dans une petite rue calme. Chambre confortable avec clim, frigo (vide), sdb avec baignoire, tv cathodique et chaines pas vraiment bien reçues, wifi gratuit accessible sans problème. Bonne insonorisation. Petit déjeuner complet. Une bonne adresse.
