Clean, comfortable and inexpensive. Don't expect extras. Even Cont. breakfast is basically toast and cereal. Coffee is Folgers. But you can walk everywhere from here and get a good night's sleep

Possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We would've checked out immediately but it was late and we were tired and hungry. Noisy, filthy, out of date. We paid for two nights in advance but took a loss on the second night and moved to the Gunn House next door.

We stayed in this hotel for one night on our way to Calaveras State Park in January 2013. The hotel has great location, right in Sonora downtown, close to shops and restaurants. Price is reasonable. The carpet and floors, not to mention the shower floor were so dirty I wouldn't take off my shoes. The noise from the traffic driving by all night did not help me sleep. Although the man at the front desk was nice. I will never recomend this hotel

Nice small town motel. Not a lot of frills, but friendly staff and very clean rooms with fridges and microvaves.

Our first night was nice and quiet (no one above us), but the 2nd night was a little noisey when some late arrival guests stumbled around their room (above us) for awhile at 2am. Front desk was friendly and even called 10 minutes after we checked in to see if everything in our room was fine. Nice touch. Good shower.

Rooms were clean & comfortable. Hotel staff helpful and knowledgeable of surrounding area. We received a phone call less than two hours after we checked-out to alert us of an expensive item that we left behind in the room. Would defineately use their services again.

The room was clean and comfortable...a good value in comparison to other rooms I have stayed in for a great deal more money. The location is very convenient within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Though the staff was personable and the room clean, the street and parking lot noise not to mention the 5:45am wake up call from the leaf blower pretty much made the stay uncomfortable.

hotel has a decent location to get into san fran if you use the ferry. i asked for tv remote to be fixed and 2 days later no one had come so no tv access in room. the outer sheet on hotel bed was stained with brown and white dirt. didnt notice this until i was checking out

Having stayed here a few years ago we were a bit uncertain about returning as it had not been a particulrly pleasant experience. We were pleasantly surprised by our return experience however. Everthing was more than adequate without being exceptional and the location is good for Downtown Sonora. My one moan would be having to take your breakfast to […] your room. My family had a great weekend visiting Yosemite. We decide to stay in Inns of California. The pros are: great customer service, Cathy was so nice and check in very fast. I really appreciated that she gave us a list of the restaurants within walking distance. My family, including my 4 and 3 yr old had no trouble walking down the street for dinner. Our […] room was a good size and we were satisfied with the small complimentary breakfast. The only con I can think of is that the place was very dated. Odd place, desperatly needs renovation. Clerk admits leaking roof (!) in external building. Worn out furniture, housekeeping not too ambitious. Way too expensive for this quality.

Night desk clerk on arrival gave us very unclear directions about where to park and how to find our room. [It was in another building, around the back!] We managed, but it would have been nice if he was clearer. We concluded that he really didn't know where the room was, because he was new to his job. Cleanliness of the room was ok, but the walkway […] outside the room and the steps down to the room were never swept the four days we were there. [Our room was numbered 242, but it was below-grade, so you entered it via a set of steps going down to a tunnel-like passageway. The 'view' from the room was of a retaining wall and the dirty walkway.] ]There is no central air, and it was HOT while we there, so a loud window air conditioner was kind of a detriment to sleeping, but at least it didn't cycle on and off, just blasted the whole time, so you could adjust to it - kind of like white noise. The so-called 'continental breakfast' was basically coffee, juice, and toast. Nothing else. it's served in the lobby, so there are no tables and chairs to sit. Devamı

Our stay was fine, except we cut our stay short due to a change in plans unrelated to the hotel. We paid in advance for two nights, and are looking forward to a refund for the second night, which the desk clerk said we would be getting from the booking agency. Our family stayed two nights at the hotel. The matresses were really uncomfortable and they were ringing loudly sounding every time you roll from side to side. Coffe (in the room and at the breakfast time) had a horrible taste. On the second day the air conditioner stopped working. Manager said that it takes time it to start working properly. After […] two hours the air in the room was still hot (it was over 90 outside) so we called the manager again. She took my hand up to the conditioner and tried to convince me that it was working good enough while we were sweating. She was very rude. Then she offered to bring a fan instead of air conditioner. Staff was very friendly. We arrived late 12am after seeing a concert in Murphys and were impressed that office was still open! Staff checked us into clean comfortable room. Motel was quiet and continental breakfast was a bonus. Older building but well maintained.

Pool was refreshing on a hot day. Beds were not so comfortable, and wifi is slow. Location was nice for exploring Jamestown, Columbia and Yosemite.

The hotel was so dirty that we could not wlk barefoot without having to wash our feet. Brekfast is provided but not space to sit and eat.

The whole room was reeking of old tobacco smoke even though it was a non-smoking room, which was really disgusting in my opinion. The AC was working, but was very old and extremely noisy. Overall cleanliness was OK, but it guess it's not easy to keep such a worn down hotel as this shining. The staff were nice though!
