Even though its old, it was clean and neat, just need an aircon in the room. Breakfast was good, just need to get use to the setup.

I needed a hotel for my holiday that was cheap and cheerful, and the Tudor fitted the bill perfectly. The hotel was clean, the staff extremely helpful and friendly and the room was clean.

Very good service and accommodating but not properly advertised as what type of hote it really is. The Tudor Hotel is more of an Inn or a country side hotel. I was therefore dissapointed because it was not appropriate for the type of occasion I was celebrating. One needs to be clearer about what type of accommodation is on offer ie. no room service, […] no veranda or area for entertaining. This is the type of hotel merely for an overnight stay or for someone not spending a lot of time in the hotel as such. They are very hospitable and there is nothing wrong with the rooms but if you want room service or are expecting visitors it is not the type of hotel you would want to book. Devamı

I booked a stay at the Hotel Tudor for 5 days as vacation before a long trip on a ship. It had very positive reviews, so I was looking forward to it. The hotel brochure says that all rooms have air conditioning or a ceiling fan. Mine had neither. I checked in a 1 am after a long flight and found that the room was hot and stuffy and I could not ventilate […] it even with the window open. The window remained open for the next 5 days and as the weather cooled significantly, the room slowly followed. On a couple of days it was much warmer in the room and only at the end was it comfortable. The hotel workers lent me their fan and that helped on subsequent nights. I should say that the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was fairly good with bacon, eggs, toast and decent coffee available. Another issue with the hotel was the location. The location is a bit removed from the waterfront, if you want the fancy shopping and restaurants. Greenmarket Square, on which the hotel sits, has lots of handicrafts for sale at cheaper prices than at the waterfront. The neighborhood is a bit sketchier and full of persistent beggars. But the big problem with Greenmarket Square is that it is noisy. Almost every night there was shouting or horns blaring. On Wednesday and Thursday nights (I assume this continues on Friday and Saturday) there is a disco somewhere nearby so you hear the bass of pounding music. So I had to close the window and wear earplugs. If you want to go to Hotel Tudor, make sure you get a room with climate control and one with a window off the square. Devamı

The hotel is situated adjacent to a small but vibrant market where I could get almost all my souvenirs and gifts. The building itself is an old one, so for those who are looking for a modern, luxurious hotel, go elsewhere. What really made me like this hotel was the staff. I was there for a week and met the most different hotel workers and I don't know […] if they are just a bunch of happy and nice people but their friendliness really made me feel at home and that is why if I ever go back to Cape Town, I will be staying at the Tudor. the breakfast was 1 egg 2 very small pieces of bacon and 1 slice of tomato 1 sliceof toast .I made a complaint to the manageress when we booked out,she said we should have had 2 eggs 2 rashers of bacon she was going to look into it. the breakfasts are provided by a cafe next door.the noise on friday & saturday night from about 50 yards away was so loud […] you could not get to sleep till 3-30 am or 4-00 am why the police allow this I dont know. the room & service was good. if you did not stay friday or saturday it would be very enjoyable Devamı

My stay at the Tudor hotel at the beginning of November 2010 was a very enjoyable experience. Its a good 3* hotel, in a great location at an affordable price. Situated just off Long St and on Greenmarket Sq there is lots of hussle and bustle during the day with lots of people around. A night the area can be slightly dubious but just keep your wits about […] you. The hotel was having a paint job while I was there and the lift was broken also but was being fixed. The rooms can be noisy with music and voices filtering through from the bars and restaurants on Long St so be aware of that. It didnt bother me but it might some. Its a great location to explore the rest of Cape Town from here and everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly! Devamı

Oppholdet mitt er utelukkende positivt. Jeg var med en gruppe, og hotellets personell ordnet opp med bookinger på de opplevelser og aktiviteter vi ønsket. Personalet var hyggelig og virket interesserte i jobben sin og i oss. Jeg kom for seint til frokost en dag, likevel disket de opp alt de hadde å tilby på nytt. Hotellet er nok ikke et av de beste, […] men det er helt fint for dem som ikke er vant til å bo på luksushoteller. Renholdet er upåklagelig. Hotellfasilitetene er kanskje ikke så mange(?), men vi var ikke så mye på hotellet uansett, så det de hadde å tilby var nok. Hotellets beliggenhet er sentralt, og like ved et fint marked og en handlegate med billige og dyre butikker av forskjellige slag. Devamı

Hotellet var gammelt men bra vedlikeholdt. Romma var store og bra reinhold, mens inventaret var litt gammelt. Under vårt opphold var det en hetebølge i Cape Town med temperaturer opp mot 40 grader. Dette gjorde det vanskelig å sove på et rom uten aircon med bare takvifte. Frokosten som var innkludert var brukbar. Betjenninga var topp. Hotellet er god […] valuta for pengene viss en kan unngå nattetemperaturer på over 20 grader. Devamı
