GOLDENER HECHT HOTEL - Heidelberg

I stayed at the Goldener Hecht at the end of last year for 14 days. I found the room convenient to my needs, clean and comfortable. The hotel is relatively small, but this enables a very caring atmosphere and staff that caters to quests needs at once. The breakfast was ample and in spite of the fact that the dining room is small and can only cater for […] a small amount of people at once, the staff address this through a roster and when schedules are tight, will bring you a breakfast tray to your room. I have previously stayed at the Goldener Hecht and knowing the set-up, I opted to stay there again due to the professionalism and home comfort of the hotel. Staff truly try to cater to quests' needs and a person feels acknowledged and not lost/just another number as can easily happen in a large hotel. I will most certainly go there again. It is close to philosophers walk and the castle and I enjoyed attending all the Christmas markets, of which two were just around the corner. If you are sensitive to noise, try and get a room that faces the inner courtyard as Christmas markets and gluhwein can result in some street noise in the early hours of the morning. A delightful place, so well situated for access to the old town and the places of interest. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The only problem was the noise from the street at night - students partying! However this is not exclusive to the Goldener Hecht as visitors in other hotels in the area experienced the same problem.

Hotel liegt in der Altstadt direkt an der Alten Brücke und ist daher äußerst praktisch für Sightseeing und Abends ausgehen. Ich hatte ein sehr ruhiges Zimmer zum Innenhof, ggf. könnte es etwas lauter sein, wenn man ein Zimmer zur Strasse erwischt (nicht aufgrund von Autos, sondern wegen feiernder Studenten). Mein Zimmer war sehr sauber, der Fernseher […] war allerdings relativ klein und etwas älter, Fön gab es nicht. Das Zimmer war zudem etwas merkwürdig geschnitten (sehr langer Flur). Frühstück ist sehr gut, wenn auch mit 11 € nicht gerade besonders preiswert (kein Buffet, Essen wird an den Tisch gebracht). Devamı
