This is a decent hotel to say when on the go in Santo Domingo. Free WiFi , friendly and courteous staff. You can connect your laptop directly if you need faster connection and for tablet use and wifi , I recommend that one request. Room on even numbers the traffic around the hotel is horrendous

We had an exceptionally nice time at the Marriott this weekend. I decided that instead of a party at home, we would crank it up a notch and have a surprise hotel sleepover (as in Eloise style). We asked for adjoining double rooms for constant supervision of girls attending throughout the evening. At check in, two double adjoining rooms were not available, […] but staff immediately offered a roll-away bed. As we had a party of many 9 year old girls, and it seems that we were very wisely placed in an area of the hotel that was separated from other guests so as not to disturb. We were able to make use of the pool for exciting "night swimming" and had pizza delivered to the hotel. For extra security precautions, a hotel staff member even escorted the Pizza delivery guy upstairs to our room. The next morning, as one would expect from the morning after the sleepover, we had extra coffee delivered to the room free of charge for the 3 adult chaperones, and extra towels so the girls could shower. The hotel staff and reception were incomparably amiable and helpful and we had a fabulous time!!! We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel experience! Devamı

We recently took 6 rooms and 1 suite for me and my family as we all travel there for my wedding.The hotel look nice and clean plus the rooms look good but some things are just not right. The ac in one of the rooms had to be switched out 3 times because it didnt work, the staff was ok but nothing out of ordinary, i needed to add an extra room and they […] tried to charge me 180 dollars for a night when i already had all those other rooms and until i mentioned that for that price i can go somewhere thats much better they didnt have a better price for me. Everything is extremely overpriced (like a bottle of water is 3 dollars on the lobby, 25 dollars for small beers that out on the street would cost 10 and it goes all like that )and they never have change so they always "owe you" , the best part is that if you order from a restaurant you cant eat it on the tables they have set on site you are ask to go to the patio or to your room because you cant do it there. if you are just going to spend a night there is fine but for anything else go somewhere else, im from the Dominican Republic and can tell you that for the price there are better choices! Excellent location for a business trip. The location is very congested and not suitable for a vacation stay. Overall, it was okay. Oh and the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Nice hotel, nice room, limited food menu but food was good. Finally a hotel that stays somewhat with the times - iPod/iphone adaptable clock radio. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel appears to be nice and clean as you enter. The pool was dirty and low in chlorine. The room was kept clean and neat, but the staff failed to replenish glassware, washcloths, and towels regularly. We found that some of the staff were not hospitable even when spoken to in Spanish. From now on, this will be our Hotel of reference in Santo Domingo. Just one example: we asked the concierge for a toothbrush on the phone, we received 2 with toothpaste after just 3 mins.

The only part of the hotel I didn't like was finding it. The directions were harder than I had thought. But the hotel was wonderful. Most of the other hotels we had stayed at did not have carpet and to take our shoes off and have carpet was wonderful. The rooms were clean, nice and very comfortable. Deck staff very good. Met manager who was more than helpful. Cleaning lady did a very good job.Others of staff were just fine. I have been coming to the DR for many years, stayed at most main line hotels. The court yard is in my top choices and usually my first call for reservation.

A comfortable sanctuary from the noise and bustle of SD. Very convenient location for business or tourism. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff are helpful and taxis always available. I stay at this hotel regularly while in SD on business.

Room was always clean, the light switch in the bathroom was broken, but it still worked. Water did not get very hot in the sink or shower. Staff was excellent and i would stay here again. Neighborhood was a little sketchy. Very hard to get in and out of because of the traffic on the road.

We stayed only one night here. We had a long drive from Las Terrenas and it was great to arrive in the air conditioned, clean and comfortable rooms. Check in was easy and fast, and it was wonderful that all of the staff spoke English (since my Spanish skills are sadly so pathetic). It was also wonderful to be a able to do a load of laundry (just bring […] your own soap) and also spend some time on the treadmill in the exercise room. The only thing that would have been better if it was in walking distance to the Colonial Zone - but that's minor, and we took a taxi (about 5-10 min drive) to be able to see the historical sites. There is also a lot of fast food places near by if you want to save a little money on food. Pool is small, but clean and nice I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend. thanks Marriott. The Marriott is a lovely hotel the staff were very helpful the location was downtown close to where we needed to be. The only thing would have been better if there was a larger selection at resturant ohtherwise a full 4 star hotel

It was my first visit to santo domingo and I have chosen for a hotel which is internationally acknowledged. I went there on 26 January until 2 February. To begin with the staff and especially the front desk they were very professional ,warm and most of all helpful. The whole team has ensured that I felt at home. The food in the restaurant was also quite […] tasty. There are 3 Universities in the area, so off and on youngsters around, other fast food outlets, a supermarket,a bank and a drugstore. To cut a long story short , my stay was just super. If I should visit santo domingo again, which is likely will be soon .. Check in is normally at 3pm. Since I had an early flight, I arrived at the hotel at 12:30 Pm, thinking that I was gonna have to sit in the lobby with my luggage until 3PM...but, to my surprise, the receptionist told me that my room is ready. I started loving the hotel right away...just for allowing that early check in without extra charges. Then I got […] to my room, on the second floor, nicely decorated, with a fridge, a safe for valuables, wired internet, flat screen tv, an ipod dock that I so enjoyed more than anything else with my girlfriend, a coffeemaker, an iron. The Courtyard hotel in Santo Domingo was in a good location for my needs. The staff was particularly helpful and pleasant to work with. I have two suggestions. First, we were there in November and the weather was beautiful, so we had the window open all the time. This hotel was great but wish it was a more recognizable location and had some pamphlets or info of things to do nearby. You'll probably need a personal driver and car or just pay a lot to taxi drivers to take you everywhere. The hotel was clean with a nice pool area and a clean good working gym. I had an absolutely wonderful stay here, the staff were all great and the food delicious, a little pricey. My only issue was the musty smell in the room, but overall I would definitely recommend the Marriott.

The only complaints that I had was that for as many pillows that were on the bed, i couldn't find one that was comfortable. We will request a room with a balcony the next time away from the traffic. The positive remarks are that the hotel service & cab availability was exceptional! Will probably go back.

I was so impressed with the staff and service at this hotel. The location is fantastic, not far to the boardwalk and airport, the American Embassy is close by as well as the Colonial Zone. The staff was superb. I had in room dining and the food was excellent. There had a few vegetarian options which I was grateful for. A tip to future travelers there, […] have the staff call Apollo Taxi to take you to the airport and save $20 on the ride. Room was clean and the internet service was perfect.
