The hotel was nice. We got there at 10pm and got a room with a window overlooking the parking lot. I thoguht all of the rooms had a nicer view, so I complained bc it was our anniversary and they upgraded us the second nt bc all rooms were taken the first night. The fitness center is nice. Decent size, 3 tvs and nice water/towel station. The jacuzzi […] at the pool was closed, totally disappointing. The pool was really dirty. I understand it has been windy, but i would expect someone to be out there keeping it clean. I called to order in room dining minutes before they said it closed and they said they had already closed and refused to serve me. That made me very upset about the service of the hotel, but that is the only service issue I ran into. Otherwise, the people were very friendly and helpful. The location is close to sights, but for $20 each way cab ride, i would have spent more on a hotel that was right down in La Jolla cove. The spa services are way pricey for what they offer. I would recommend looking out in town for cheaper and probably better service. The rooms were nice and quiet, hardly able to hear anything outside your own room which was very nice. We even stayed on the first floor one night and it was not an issue. The black out curtains WORK! Set and ALARM! We almost didn't get up in time for check out! LOL. Overall the place is nice, but I will not be staying there again mostly for lack of location. Devamı

THIS HOTEL WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! FROM THE BEAUTIFUL COLORFUL AND PEACEFUL GARDENS TO THE BEST BREAKFAST MENU WE HAVE EVER SEEN....OUR 5 DAYS WENT MUCH TOO FAST. IT WAS A VERY SPECIAL STAY..A FANTASTIC CHANGE FROM THE HUGE HIGHRISE HOTEL. WE CANNOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS...AND THE STAFF SUPER...SUPER... WE LOVED IT!!!!!!!

Short stay but very enjoyable. Would go back. wonderful breakfast on the deck overlooking the green and fountain.

Great landscaping throughout the whole place. Picturesque courtyards for impromptu photo shoots. Clean rooms and abundant food choices on site.

I have stayed here previously and completely enjoyed it. This time, they seemed to be having multiple problems. The gym was closed with no warning or explanation. The restaurant was relocated to a ballroom - with surgical lighting - and staffed by very pleasant but apathetic servers. We decided to skip dinner and just have a drink and appetizers, but […] I had to walk up to the (temporary) bar to get my drinks that had been sitting for 5 minutes with absolutely nobody in sight. The Shrimp Ceviche was bland, but worse the shrimp had the bitter taste of near spoilage about them. When I complained I just got the shrug in response It seemed to me that the hotel management was far more focused on the press roll-out of some new Toyota Prius models that was going on and the paying guests had to fend for themselves. On the plus side, the valet/bell staff were fantastic. The grounds and rooms are still top notch and the location is good. La Jolla has too many competitive options in that price range to try again. Beautiful hotel with good restaurants and very comfortable rooms. We were more than pleased with Estancia. We have stayed at this chain of hotels before and we are always pleased.

Can't say enough about the Estancia. Everything was just perfect. We look forward to coming back!

Everything seems to cost additional. Parking, spa etc. great valet parkers. Great people who work there except the front desk team. Rooms are very dark and the isn't a mini bar.

I love staying at Estancia. The property is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the room is comfortable. I also love to have dinner at Mustangs & Burros. It's a great place to eat and relax while listening to live music.

We stayed at the Estancia Resort. It is an exceptional property with beautifal gardens and courtyards. The rooms were very comfy and clean. It is in the heart of USD campus in La Jolla so the area is very beautiful. The restaurant is excellent. One thing to note, make sure you add the hidden fees to your price per night. The resort charges $20 per night […] for self parking. Also, resort fees are mentioned when booking but the amount is not. The resort charged us about $14 per day resort fees. So prepare to pay more if you are staying longer than a day. But all in all, it is an exceptional stay. Devamı

Very nice hotel located near the UCSD campus. Fun for a romantic get away. The staff are professional and courteous. Watch out for: hidden fees like to use the pool area, One of the valets is curt and unpleasant.

Incredibly beautiful gardens and a lovely, tranqquil place to stay.

Stylish, beautiful hotel, rather crowded in the weekend. Fantastic breakfast. A great place to relax. Don't expect a beach nearby. The service is not on a continuous level and I would not advice to take a massage.

Really beautiful grounds. Rooms nice. Service was good (bottled water could be a little more accessible). Food was excellent. It would have been the perfect stay except for the beds. They were not of high quality. If the beds were better I would recommend this hotel and spa unequivocably.

Overall a pleasant hotel but very far from the beaches and restaurants. You of course need a car and what I did not like was the additional charge of $20 per night for parking which is not mentioned when you book the room. There are no coffee bars or restaurants and you either have to eat the not too inspired and overpriced meals in the hotel or drive […] several miles for a normal cup of cappuccino. Beautiful hotel. Great service. The best value for a hotel that I've stayed at for years. Immaculate rooms and gardens. Outstanding masseuse. (Actually all three were great - my husband had a massage and I had one on two different stays.) We ate at all the restaurants - they're all wonderful. My favorite was eating outside by the fireplace in the evening […] at Mustangs and Burros. Their avocado soup (hot) is one of the best soups I've ever had in my life. Cleanliness is of the highest standard, and I ought to know because I'm a clean freak. They have a professional and friendly staff in all parts of the hotel. We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. The staff was very friendly and always seeking ways to help. The room was clean and well kept. It was quiet which we appreciated. We would stay again if we are ever out in San Diego again.

Very nice hotel in a quite place.

Hotel is unimpressive for the price. Room was only average. Neighborhood is quiet, not like other hotels directly near freeways. Grounds seam dark & shrouded because of all the trees around. Had a small patio facing a wall between hotel & parking lot. Valet was friendlier than front desk. Would only stay again if other hotels sold out.

Not only was this resort beautifully landscaped, it's spanish style made it warm and inviting. The valet guys are super friendly giving us water and a map to find our way around. The Bodega Wine bar was very comfortable and the bartender offered us samples of wine to be sure we were going to like what we ordered. This place is 10 minutes up the road […] from downtown La Jolla if that far and very convenient to Old Town San Diego which I highly recommend if one hasn't been there before. Devamı

My husband and I loved this hotel. It was beautiful and clean and staff was very nice. Fitness center and Spa are lovely as well. Great pool and terrific restaurant with outdoor areas with fireplaces. It's a quiet treasure. Not sure great for families with kids - but there were lots of families there for conferences and weddings and they seemed to be […] enjoying themselves. The Estancia is in most regards a very pleasurable hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are attentative and polite. Our "veranda" however stared directly into a wall only 6 feet from the door. The room also suffered some noise issues with persons in the room above and beside our room. With the right room this is a great and relaxing stay.

It has great ambiance. It is not a larger hotel and it is quieter - a plus! The grounds and rooms are very nice. Wine room/bar/library was fabulous! Spa is small and does not provide any water inside the locker rooms, only in the quiet area which is co-ed. It needs water bottles outside the steam room and jacuzzi areas! Mens outdoor jacuzzi did not […] work. Massage was simply "okay" and not one of the best we have ever had. Devamı

Estancia is great! No complaints - free wireless, great pool and hottub, amazing friendly staff, easy to get to I-5 and one mile from grocery stores and shopping plazas. Would love to stay there again!

Loved the hotel! Great service, wonderful food and beautiful grounds. Also enjoyed the great spa!

This was by far the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful grounds, great restaurants and bar. But the rooms are worn and ragged and the housekeeping service is marginal at best. Not a 4 star experience.

Overall had a good stay. Thought it was lame that they charge $20 per day to self park when there are not any other parking options in the area, and not in the city where parking may be limited. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

During recent stay of two nights, beautiful grounds, well appointed rooms. We were in room 321 and unfortunately the walls were so thin due to adjoining room door, we could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors were saying. I Love almost everything about this hotel, except not been informed about a daily fee added to my bill, for what there was no plausible justification. Other than that, everything was fine.

This is a beautiful facility in a beautiful surrounding area. The real standout in my mind, though, was the service--it was, across the board, the most friendly, efficient, and well-conceived that I have ever experienced.

The buildings and grounds are absolutely beautiful; it's lovely just to walk around the various little gardens. Our room location was disappointing-- I had the "courtyard view" category, but our room faced the back of the property so our view was a wall. The room itself was a little small, and the furnishings were nothing special but the bed was extremely […] comfortable with high-quality linen. The bathroom is huge- designer fixtures and spa-quality bath towels and robes are a nice touch. We had an early dinner at Mustangs and Burros, which I loved. They have a very creative gourmet menu considering that its the more casual restaurant. Tasty fresh sangrias and margaritas, outdoor fireplace, nice ambiance. There's also a wine bar on the property so you can eat and drink and relax without needing to drive anywhere. My boyfriend and I decided to take a "staycation" in La Jolla and absolutely loved the Estancia hotel. We spent the day hanging out by the pool and drinking cocktails. Beautiful grounds, professional and friendly staff, with great restaurants on site. Bedrooms were nice, but a bit small. Could use some updating in the decor. We used the spa and thought it was very nice and the massage excellent. We will definitely return.

Great spacious rooms, fantastic gardens, on-site restaurants, great breakfast buffet on weekends, great spa (a little on the pricey side). We were warned of the add-on fees of $12/day and expensive parking ($20/day). Why am I giving 4 stars ? Charging for internet and in-room coffee. These accommodations have become standard in 2011. I stay roughly […] 70 nights a year at hotels all around the country and not a single one have charged for Internet in that price range. I feel that with an extra $12/day in "service" fees, Internet should be included. Definitely not a reason to pass on this great hotel but I hope the 4/5 score will give enough incentive to management revise their policies. Devamı
