Horrible service!

Stayed here before the Buddy Guy Concert Jan 29th. Great Room. Great Gift Shop.. Bar a bit small and Pricey.. Completed the Whole music experience.. Would stay there again.. The staff was very friendly.

I reluctantly booked at this hotel because my other favorites in the area were sold out. In general, this hotel spends too much time trying to be cool and not enough time on the basics. The room amenities are sub-par; lighting in the room was *awful*; the shower liner barely reaches to the top of the tub, causing spill over and leakage; the full length […] mirror is like something out of a fun-house and essentially useless; there was no shower gel or toothpaste, and when i called down for toothpaste I got a pea-sized sample that was almost comical; in-room wireless is extra; the hotel gym was TINY and in a dungeon-like setting. Overall disappointed- there are too many hotels in close proximity for them to be so lax in providing some basic business-traveler amenities. Devamı

This particular hotel was adequate as far as comfort. The location was great since we were going to the theater. However, when I tried to call for room service, no one answered. I called several times, eventually calling the front desk and concierge. No answer! Had to walk down to the lobby in my socks to place a "room service" order. We didn't even […] get an apology! Really enjoyed my stay. Everything was comfortable, the staff was helpful. Drinks in the bar were a little pricey and the food selection there was minimal. I would stay again.

The room was nice and we had a great view but because we bought the hotel room on hotels.com they way over charged for the internet. They wanted us to pay $13 per 24 hours per device! My boyfriend and I both have iphones, we both have laptops, and I have an ipad. We were taking a "vacation" but our work never really lets us leave. Not only do they make […] you pay that huge rate they block your phones from getting on the internet. I was not happy! Then the extra charges they had on the bill when I went to check out were not even ours. They were trying very hard to get every penny out of us they could and offered no services in return! Devamı

Loved it! The rooms are fun and neat. Loved the bathroom. So close to everything we walked everywhere despite the cold windy weather! Chicago is awesome!

Everything about the Hard Rock was as good as it gets.

I was very excited to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel (we were only there for one night) and after reading about what they offer and where they are located I couldn't wait to get there. However, I was sadly disappointed with the room. The pictures from the website look nothing like the actual room. Our room felt more like a home office than a hotel room. […] We also found food on the floor in the bathroom and next to bed when we first checked in. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating to us. Even though we were unsatisfied with our stay at the hotel it was located in a good spot. We were able to walk to Millennium Park, Magnificent Mile, and there were plenty of restaurants close by. Overall the stay was okay but I do not think I will stay there again. Devamı

No problems with the hotel. Nice place, cleaned and very comfortable. For sure I won't go to other hotel in Chcago next time.

first night we could not sleep at all drunk people and our room was just next to the elevator and we can hear all what was happening out side. the closet very poor sometimes doesnot even close. not working table or coffee table like any other hotel.

For the price…Nothing special.

You can't beat a hotel that's right on Michigan Ave. It's a five minute walk to Millennium Park! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked the concierge for someplace close that played live music and he handed me two free admissions to the bar Howl at the Moon. Saved me $20 for cover charges! Great venue too. The rooms are ok. They are a modern style […] but come off as pretty cold. The beds were not made with fitted sheets. A small gripe, but every time I woke up I was either laying on the mattress pad or the mattress itself. The next morning I put the "Change Linen Request" card on the bed, thinking the first time was a fluke, but came back that day to the same arrangement. Oh well. Devamı

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Nice, clean, well designed, great location, the works. The shower pressure was a bit low, but that's about it.

With the Hard Rock 'hip' factor, our rooms were very nice and the hotel is so centrally located we walked all over. Millennium Park is one block away, right on the Magnificent Mile area, and close to the 'neighborhoods' like Lincoln Park and Wrigley field area. We were there in the dead of winter, yet it was easy to go back for another layer if needed. […] When we had walked enough and wanted to rest our room had been cleaned and was ready for us again. Our favorite spot ended up being the Michigan Ave. sidewalk windows at the China Grill bar where we could have a libation and people watch. Friendly staff. Of course you have the Hard Rock memorabilia which gives it an added entertainment value. Kind of funny seeing Kiss in the bathroom and Iggy Pop on the wall when you fall asleep. I would certainly recommend the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago to people to anyone who enjoys a relaxed, modern environment with many options in walking distance...the sites and scenery are absolutely AWESOME!!!!! Everyone was very polite & informative!!! If I had to say what I liked least it would be the hotel restaurant....they have very few options. My initial impression of the HRH is impressive. Upon arriving, the front desk upgraded our room to a suite and put us on the 31st floor. The room was fantastic, very clean, hip, plenty of room for us and the view was spectacular. When going out for the night, the valets were friendly, fun, and also quick with their jobs, both with getting our car or […] grabbing us cabs. The hotel was fantastic on our first night. We came in on the 30th to stay through new years. The staff was friendly and the rooms were great. The view from the room was also really nice. I enjoyed the kiurig in the room with the inserts. The beds were outstanding, some of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever stayed on. The second night however […] was a disaster. While I understand it was New Years Eve and there was a huge event going on at the hotel, I found the staff to be completely rude. THe room we stayed in was connected to another room full of people who were loud and smelled like they were smoking. THe noise started at about 7 with loud music. We left to go out and returned to the room about 1 am. The people were back in their room screaming, blasting music and smelled as if they were smoking. This continued untll 230. I tried to use the room phone to call downstairs and it would not connect to the front desk. In my pajamas I took the elevator down to find a hugeeeee cluster of people trashed trying to get upstairs. When I told hte front desk what was going on they were rude and inconsiderate about the situation. They brushed it off as if it was not a big deal. While I understand it was new years eve, I find it ridiculous that they did nothing to help the situation. THey simply rolled their eyes and told me to go back upstairs. Due to the long line at the elevator and me being in pajamas I tried taking the stairs. They had people guarding the stairs and told me to go back down and wait in line for the elevator with the huge drunk crowd. In my twenties myself I understand that people want to party on new years, however i do not think the hard rock hotel did a great job to help the situation when i came down complaining about the noise. This was our third visit to Chicago and each time we have stayed at the Hard Rock. It is boutique style of hotel that is locate in a great part of the downtown. We park our car and leave it parked using the CTA and walking to most places. The rooms are modern, clean and suit us perfectly. We will stay there again on our next visit.

Great location to anything you would want to do in the Loop. Walking distance to Millennium Park as well as shopping on Michigan Avenue. Would definitely stay here again. Very friendly staff, always available and wanting to be of service.

Lobby had hip-hop playing most of the night. Hotel is painted mostly in black and grey and is very dark. Bar is more like a hole in the wall type of place not very high end at all. People were very helpful, room was not very big and really had no place to relax just had a bed. Staff is very acccomodating. Rooms are clean and quiet. Only real problem is the strong oily smell in the lobby due to the ajoining China Grill.

Good value for the dollar and in a beautiful old skyscraper that was well renovated. I hear that the old offices on the 34th floor were made into very nice suites. The staff is excellent.

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for 4 nights. It was within 2 miles of all the major attractions. We were able to walk almost everywhere. We stayed on the 34th floor. Our room was a good size and comfortable.

BEST place around. Decent priced, Great location, Clean, Friendly and understanding people. Everytime me or any of my hotel roommates would walk in we would be greeted by at least two employees BY NAME. The staff at the Hard Rock was just outstanding and extremely helpful. I will suggest anyone to stay there. Its in a great area and you are walking distance from everywhere.

The Hard Rock Chicago was excellent! The best was the most comfortable I've ever slept on at a hotel. Better than home even. Location is within walking distance of most downtown Chicago attractions. Staff is also super friendly. Worth the extra $.

The Hard Rock is a perfect location to stay at in Chicago. It is walking distance to almost all major attractions in Chicago as well as to the train to get you to the other attractions! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and made my stay most enjoyable.

I love this hotel. It's modern, the suites are contemporary and spacious. Standard rooms are a good size too. Customer service is phenomenal and the China Grill and Angels and Kings are definitely a good time for visitors and locals alike. The perfect hotel to mix business and pleasure. A++

Convenient location to all of Chicago's attractions

I go here on a regular basis, its a great place right in the heart of the city on the mag mile/dt loop, i used hotels.com to get the deal they had going and couldnt of been happier it was just a one night stay for a party in the city, everything went smooth, hotel was just as its always been, clean, roomy, comfy, staff is great, the bar inside the hotel […] is a lil pricey, 2 shots 2 drinks 50 bucks.. but oh well.... What a great place to stay! Staff definately lived up to the raving reviews. Especially loved Chris, our tatooed Bartender! I haved stayed at several hotels in Chicago and this is at the top of my list. We will be back! The sooner, the better!

Concierge service was phenomenal!!! They went out of their way to ensure my fiancé's and my trip was one to remember, never seen service like that in all of my travels. Had one of the nicest views you can have in Chicago. We could see the Chicago river and lake Michigan from our room, along with tons of buildings along the Chicago skyline. Had no complaints about my stay at the Hard Rock except for one - had to pay $13.50 to use w-fi in my room. Just thought that was very annoying and might make me choose another hotel nearby in the future, since I am often staying for business, not pleasure. Otherwise, loved my stay.

I have only one suggestion for the place, do something about the heat! We were in room that would not go below 70 and it was less than 40 outside. The Engineer came up, explained that our controls were not independent and showed us that the window opened. Well even with the window open on a 20 degree night; the temp in the room never got below 68.
