I was duly warned that my room would be small. Having been prepared, I found the room more than adequate for my needs. With that detail out of the way, my stay was absolutely flawless, mostly because of Hotel Uyan's location and attention and care extended by the staff to guest needs and the hotel's clean and impeccable appearance. My wife and I stayed for three days in Uyan Hotel within the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul. It is a small hotel ranked as 4 star.The room we stayed in was large,with a good bed. The couch,however, was not comfortable. The bathroom is pleasant though entry to the bath tub and shower is not easy if you are not tall enough. You couldnt not ask for better location. One block from Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Very clean, extremely well taken care. We had an amazing time in hotel Uyan

The hotel is locates near an middle of SultanAhmed mosque and Ayasofia (red mosque), close to TopKapi, Museum, Tramstation which took us to EgyptBazar and GrandBazar and close to streets with a lot of restaurants and necesary shops. My husband and I have stayed at Hotel Uyan twice now, and have nothing but great things to say about it! The staff is amazingly kind and always suggest fantastic options for where to eat, what to visit, which tours to take, etc. The location can't be beat...walking distance to Blue Mosque & AyaSofia plus tons of cafe's and restaurants. We decided to visit Istanbul during Chinese New Year which was definitely out of season. Although many facilities were closed, it meant no crowds and Hagia Sofia without teh scaffolding was a mind blower. We arrived at 6:30 am after a 5 am touchdown and had taken the precaution of paying an extra night so we could shower and sleep before ventruing out […] of fish lunch at Kumpaki. Extra night was very affordable. We were prompted recived an dushered into our room _ getting one large enough and with some view needed a change. We had a most enjoyable 4 nights stay and the only problem was breakfast only started at 7:30 whereas we needed to start earlier for trips to Edirne and Bursa. Fantastic hotel in a perfect location for a weekend visit aiming to hit the tourist spots. Very helpful staff, good breakfast and large, comfortable room. Highly recommended.

We were very happy with our 5 day stay at the Uyan. The staff was very helpful and helped set up transportation from the airport which they prepaid for us. Once we had made the reservation they were very quick and responsive to emails. The location and views from the roof deck made our vacation very memorable. The location couldn't be better/nicer! I saw a couple rooms that were nicer than the one we had, but the price was excellent for ours. The staff is extremely nice and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. To sit on the roof top and eat your breakfast is glorious. Wonderful hotel, friendly staff, perfect location.

Clean and comfy room, helpful staff and generous breakfast. Have stayed in many hotels in Istanbul but thıs one has to be one of the best for the price. Hıghly recommend.

Small but comfortable rooms and very nice service from all hotel personnel (Particulary from the management!). Recomendation: Do not bring big baggage!

This hotel is in the heart of Sultanahmet, within walking distance to many sites, public transportation, and tons of cafes and restaurants. The staff at the hotel is amazing and were super helpful in giving us very useful advice, as well as organizing some excursions etc. Our room was a bit small, but clean and nice. Hotel Uyan is located in very decent location. however the hotel staff at reception was very unhelpful and unwelcoming but the door man and restaurant staff very very nice and helpful . Every thing there is money if you pay little u get what u need other wise nothing. Me and my friend was very disappointed the price we pay for our stay. I would defintely stay at Hotel Uyan again. Not only was the hotel staff friendly, accomodating and helpful but helped with tour questions as well. The surroundings and hotel location are perfect, in a quieter part of Sultanahmet.

I highly recommend this Hotel Uyan if you are looking for a hotel in close proximity to the tourist sites, but in a quiet spot. My second floor room faced the street, and I was not bothered by any noise at all! The nearby shops seem more upscale than those in the larger bazaar areas, and I found the staff at those shops to be helpful and engaging without […] pressuring me to buy anything. There are many small restaurants nearby as well! I could reach the tram stop in just minutes from the hotel and there were mac machines and an exchange office close-by. I arrived early to check-in and my room was ready for me, and the staff was helpful in answering all of my questions. I stayed in a single room, so it was small, but I found it to be very, very comfortable. I appreciated the renovated bathroom. The breakfast was adequate enough, although since this hotel was rated 4-stars I was hoping there would at least be Turkish coffee available (rather than what seemed like instant coffee). Truly friendly and helpful hotel staff (not to be taken for granted in Istanbul). Perfect location for access to main attractions. Room clean and spacious. Good breakfast with views from the roof-top terrace. Would stay at this hotel again if we return to Istanbul.

The staff there really wanted to be helfpul, but they gave us the wrong information more than once. About closing times, directions, etc. The room was small, HOT, loud. The area was convenient, but not bustling. The restaurant was not good, and the whole area reminded me of midtown Manhattan as far as ripoff restaurants of poor quality (very, very […] expensive). Lagom stort hotell. Dock inget speciellt med rummen. Bode i ett superior delux rum. Den enda skillnaden var att det fanns ett litet bord med två stolar och en bäddsoffa.

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt hinter der blauen Moschee nur etwa 3 Gehminuten davon entfernt. Für einen Städtetrip ist das Hotel absolut zu empfehlen. Als Zimmer hatten wir Deluxe. Groß und geräumig mit Whirlpool. Zimmer waren augenscheinlich sauber und gepflegt. Was man bei dieser Lage berücksichtigen muss, sind die die Gebetsrufe welche bei uns immer […] gegen 6:15 Uhr morgens angefangen haben. Dies hört man natürlich deutlich. Hemos pasado unos días fantásticos en Estambul y a ello a colaborado en buena medida el hotel. Limpio, tranquilo y con buen servicio. Está a 2 minustos de los monumentos más emblemáticos y de zona de restaurantes y ocio, sin que ello rompa la tranquilidad y el silencio de la zona donde se ubica. Muy recomendable.

Hotellet var långt ifrån fullbokat när vi kom, så de gav oss ett större finare rum utan extra kostnad. Personalen var väldigt hjälpsam och pratade bra engelska. Hotellet ligger grymt nära många av de största turistobjekten vilket var skönt. Även nära till spårvagnarna. Området hotellet ligger i, kan ses som lite sunkiga, men området känns som att det […] är under uppbyggnad och upputsning. Fasader får ny färg etc. Missa inte att gå upp på taket. Jag gjorde inte det förrän den tredje dagen. man har verkligen perfekt syn över Hagia Sofya och Blå Mosken. Det var från taket som jag tog de absolut bästa bilderna av dessa byggnader.. Jag kan verkligen bara rekomendera detta hotell. Det enda abret - Fråga helst inte personalen om någon bra lokal restaurang. Vi fick bara massa broschyrer och inga egentliga "egna" åsikter. Kun godt at sige om hotellet, dog var morgenmaden, dvs brød og juice ikke særlig spændende. Der er lækkert brød og god juice i Istanbul så det er synd.

Top-Lage mit Super-Terrasse inkl. Aussicht auf den Bosporus. Das gebuchte kleine DZ hatte nur 10 qm + 3 qm Bad. Ein kleines DZ reicht fast immer bei einer Städtereise, aber 10 qm - das wäre ein kleines EZ gewesen. Das Doppelbett stand mit 3 Seiten an der Wand, Kleiderschrankbreite = 50 cm, keine Kofferablagemöglichkeit (war Stop-Over) - das ist schon […] SEHR gewöhnungsbedürftig. Frühstück o.k., aber nicht überwältigend = kein 4 *-Standard.Tram-Haltestelle in der Nähe, Restaurants + Läden in unmittelbarer Nähe. Nära till alla sevärdheter och sightseengbussen. Hjälpsam personal. Bra läge.Vackra kringliggande kvarter var en överraskning.

Gutes Hotel, Zimmer großzügig, helles Zimmer zur Sraße hinaus jedoch erst nach Protest vor Ort. Frühstücksbuffet etwas mäßig und langweilig. Preis etwas überteuert.

Sauberes, kleines Boutique-Hotel in toller Lage zwischen Blauer Moschee und Ayya Sophia. Ziemlich reichhaltiges und gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut.

The location of the hotel is really fantastic! The breakfast and view on the roof terrace is lovely as well. Our room was tiny but cute and very clean. Definitely worth a recommendation to my friends. BTW, although the staff at reception does not speak English very well. His lovely smiles could conquer any difficulties of communication!

Mit dem Hotel Uyan haben wir eine wunderbare Rückzugsmöglichkeit in Istanbul gefunden. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Unser Zimmer für 4 Personen war sehr groß und komfortabel. Das Beste war das herrliche Frühstücksbüffet im Frühstücksraum über den Dächern der Stadt. Bei besserem Wetter hätte man mit tollem Ausblick auf die Hagia […] Sophia und die Blaue Moschee das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse genießen können. Nachts haben wir erholsamen Schlaf finden können. Das Hotel sah von außen und von innen top gepflegt und wie auf den Homepages abgebildet aus. Die Dachterrasse und das Frühstück waren ein Traum! Beim Frühstück war alles dabei, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Alle bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten (Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet-Moschee, Hippodrom, etc.) sind direkt um die Ecke und bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das […] Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, wenn auch sehr distanziert. Das Zimmer war super-sauber. Einziger Minuspunkt: Der Chlorreiniger, der dabei benutzt wurde, war teilweise im Bad nicht richtig entfernt worden - damit habe ich mir eine Hose ruiniert, die durch das Chlor verätzt und damit fleckig wurde. Dieses Minus stand aber ganz alleine da. Ausstattung wie Klimaanlage, Fernseher, Kühlschrank, Bett und Möbel waren aber vorhanden und gut in Schuss. Gerne wieder. Devamı

Et meget hyggelig lite hotell et steinkast fra Blå moske og Sofia Hagia. Deilige rom med tregulv. Gode senger. Hyggelig spiserom med sol og utsikt, spseielt fra takterassen på toppen.
