The hotel is located within a fifteen minute walk from the city center, in a quiet residential area. The staff and the general quality of service was impeccable. The building is relatively new, and all the amenities are in perfect condition.

Exceptionally helpful staff. Fantastic restaurant. Only complaint- noise from outside woke us up early in the morning every day.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town and the University. Very convenient, very quiet! The room was very comfortable and the staff pleasant and helpful. The restaurant and breakfast room are in a sun-filled area. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding!

The location is a 15 min walk from both the city centre and the congress centre, so perfect for my purposes. The street itself is small and not particularly lovely, but there is an excellent garden on the roof with wonderful views over the city. WIFI access throughout the hotel made it excellent for work (I worked on the terrace for one day). This hotel was incredible. Huge bed, huge breakfast, helpful staff and great location. Each day we wandered around town and found lots of local cafe's. It isn't close to the towers or University but, we enjoyed the experiences along the way and the exercise.

Pros: Staff, staff, staff. - All english speaking and very nice and helpful. Girl at the hotel bar makes amazing cocktails. Clean room - can't complain there. Very clean room and bed sheets. Huge bed - it was giant. Free wifi - yes, it was free but read on more about this in cons. Breakfast included - this is nice although standard for Italy. Cons: Location […] - Coming back from downtown late, cabs are the only option as buses do not run as late as we thought. cab is about 10 EUR Hotel bar has no atmosphere. It is lit like an O.R, which is too bad because the girl at the bar is awesome and makes great cocktails. I guess it would be nice in the summer so one can use the terrace... Shower was not that great. Wifi keeps pinging you out constantly if you inactive for a couple minutes. So you have to save the pw to your phone browser.. so make sure they give a pw good for the entire stay otherwise it is a nightmare. Other than that, it worked well and was reasonably fast. Overall a good value but I was definitely expecting more because of all the amazing reviews. Devamı

I do not recommend this hotel, for several reasons: 1) In the winter, the rooms and hallways are freezingly cold. The rooms have a thermostat which allow the guests to vary the temperature by 3 degrees up or down from a "standard temperature", but the "standard temperature" is set so low that every guest sets the temperature to the highest value, which […] is still too cold. As a result, there is no actual control over the temperature. 2) The hotel advertises itself as a "WiFiHotel". Unfortunately, the WiFi they offer is nearly useless. To use their WiFi, the guest must login with both a username and a password, both of which are long strings of numbers. That would be OK, except that these must be reentered every time one wants to start a WiFi session. (In most hotels, once a user enters a password, login is automatic whenever one returns to the hotel, so one need enter the password only once for the entire stay.) Even entering the username and password for each session might be acceptable, except for two problems: (1) The signal in the rooms is so weak that the connection continually keeps dropping out, and (2) the username and password must be reentered after every dropout. One soon gets tired of doing that and gives up. 3) The bathroom design is rather idiotic. The shower has no closure on one side (a feature not uncommon in Europe), but the water accumulates and drains very slowly toward the open side. Thus, after finishing a shower, one must walk through all the accumulated soap scum from the shower in order to get out. Devamı

We found this hotel a very nice one with helpful staff and nice food. However, we did not realise walking from the train station took over 30 minutes, not recommend for those who wish to stay close to the train station. We were instructed to take a bus nearby to the train station when we checked out which we found it very convenient. Overall, the hotel […] is a nice one. Excellent hotel, clean spacious room, all staff helpfull and friendly. Very good buffet breakfast with fresh coffee delivered to order. Would definitely stay here again if I come nack to Bologna.

Simply great value. Clean, comfortable and brilliant friendly staff. I booked based on the reviews and was not disappointed. I initially was given room 501 which was next to the elevator and noisy but the changed it without problems as soon as I raised the issue. Rooms are comfortable with large beds, breakfast was good. We loved the Amelia hotel in Bologna. It was incredible value and a good location with an easy 15 minute walk to the center of the old, historic city. The staff were all incredible ----very friendly with good suggestions.

The manager & their colleagues were not professional in reception.

Well located for city centre, about 20/25 minutes on foot. Nearby bus to main railway station takes about 7 minutes. Bedrooms are good and very clean, but the lighting is inadequate to read comfortably. The staff are excellent, both in the breakfast room and the reception desk. Overall, highly recommended.

Hotel staff were extremely friendly, by far the nicest of the three hotels we stayed in on this trip to Italy. There was a rooftop garden and hot tub, which was nice to relax in during the day. The breakfast was generous and quite tasty. The hotel was close (walking distance) to Bologna city centre. Overall it was a great value, enjoyable stay.

Lovely hotel conveniently situated for sightseeing. Staff extremely helpful and courteous.

We only stayed one night off season, but the hotel was excellent. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Room was very comfortable, and they even have a roof terrace with jacuzzi which was nice, shame it closes at 10pm. Hotel is in walking distance of the city centre which is excellent. Rooms were clean and we slept great in their beds. Breakfast had a good variety of food for 4 of us, which included two teen boys. When I was unable to verify our flights online, staff was so helpful, particularly Valentina and Natalie.

We really enjoyed the breakfast, one of the better ones we've had. Unlike some places, you can still turn up at 9.30/10 and not feel like you've been left the scraps. There didn't seem to be too much in the surrounding area but the centre of town was only 5 mins on the bus and we never had to wait long for one to turn up. My partner is very pregnant […] and yet we were happy with the distance. It was certainly quiet. Our only negative was that the air-conditioning didn't work in our room. It only works if the window is fully closed but ours would not close properly. The reception were very quick to offer us another room, so we weren't inconvenienced too much. Just a shame that it had to happen in the first place as I had read a comment before we went where someone also had an issue. Overall though we definitely enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Even with that we would stay here again. Devamı

Almost everything about the AEmilia Hotel was great, but the most pleasant surprise was a rooftop garden jacuzzi. After a day of hot, demanding driving, it was utter luxury to slip into those massage bubbles. The view from the roof garden is of the welter of towers and domes downtown: a beautiful sight. Parking in the hotel portion of a public underground […] garage is somewhat expensive, but street parking is even more so and inconvenient. The restaurant does not seem popular at night, but is elegant and convenient. The prawns I chose were not very good - too messy and slight - but the lasagna Bolognese was excellent. I would reccomend this hotel for both business use and personal travel to Bologna. After some rather dissapointing experiences from Italian hotels over the years the Aemilia I have to say really impressed me. The hotel is very well presented, modern and in excellent condition with the type of additions (gym, roof bar etc) that one would expect from […] a 4*. Moreover there is a reasonably priced secure parking garage connected to the hotel (this can be difficult to find in large cities). The only slight downside is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre, in my opinion a price worth paying for the comfort of the hotel. We picked this hotel because of it looked easy to find from the airport and it's proximity to the centre. Both proved to be true - also great staff and a well maintained hotel. Just 20 minutes from Bologna centre with a safe walk from the hotel. We stayed with our 3 kids who all had a great time.

From the moment we walked in the lobby, we felt welcome here. The front desk attendant offered to make us reservations, since it was a national holiday and many were closed or very crowded. Our room was spacious and very nice and clean. The hotel has a very relaxing roof top patio with a great view too - I would highly recommend this one!

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main tourist areas and is nicely appointed. Our room was spacious and the breakfast was great. We arrived at the train station and walked (about 45 minutes) to the hotel. Definately find out which city bus to hop on!

Very conveniently located, just a 15 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore! Very sumptuous breakfast and the restaurant at night served lovely, well presented dishes too. We were very happy with our stay here, the receptionists were amazing, friendly, helpful people. And the room was gorgeous. We stayed for only one night and the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Bologna-a ten minute walk into the centre. The staff were helpful and breakfast was great-lots of options and if you ask they will bring you cappuccino's, lattes etc.. Bologna is fab-we wished we had of stayed another night-some great restaurants! Try Osteria Brocaindosso […] if you get a chance! Devamı

Nice hotel - very friendly and helpful staff - breakfast includes range of foods and good quantity - eat elsewhere for dinner, not worth the price and food not great, even disappointing in a city with great food - would definitely stay here again.

The level of customer care provided at the reception was excellent. Receptionists were very courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast was very abundant. Overall the hotel is very clean and kept to a high standard. Not to forget mentioning - free internet access in room!! Pretty close to the centre of Bologna too. Bra hotell, men det bästa var helt klart personalen, mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma.

Wir hatten die "Freude" das Hotel Aemilia während den Schneetagen im Januar 2012 kennen - und schätzen - zu lernen. Das Hotel ist modern und zweckmässig, die Angestellten hilfsbereit, freundlich und motiviert - so wie es sein soll! Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und für italienische Verhältnisse üppig. Auf Grund des Wetters mit einem halben Meter […] Neuschnee in 2 Tagen (in Bologna!) haben wir im Hotel Aemilia eine aussergewöhnliche Erfahrung gemacht, die so nicht geplant war: Wir haben zwei mal (von drei Abenden) im Hotelrestaurant zu Abend gegessen! Bei den vielen und vor allem guten Restaurants in Bologna und bei unserer Liebe zu gutem Essen (und unserer Abneigung zu Hotelrestaurants) ein kleine Sensation. Die Speisekarte im Restaurant ist vielfältig und gemischt und man findet nationale und internationale Gerichte - für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei! UND man muss nicht mehr aus dem Haus... :-) (in manchen Notfällen gut zu wissen, dass man auch im Hotel gut versorgt ist). Wir waren insgesamt zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder in Hotel Aemilia, wenn es uns wieder einmal nach Bologna verschlagen sollte - dann aber sicherlich im Sommer! Devamı
