LUXER HOTEL - Amsterdam

There was a huge convention in town so we could not stay a third night at our hotel. However, The Luxer is close to everything, including restaurants and tourist sights. Price was a little high for the type of hotel (e.g. no hairdryer in rooms, plastic throw away cups in bathroom). My girlfriend thought the place was dirty, I thought it was fine. The location was great. 5 minutes or less walk time from Amsterdam Centraal station and a block from the Red Light district. The guy working the front desk when we arrived was very helpful. He gave a little history of the city, told us some nice stops to stop by, and helped us book tickets […] to the Anne Frank house in advance -which I highly recommend since the line can be upto 4 hours long! - I would recommend this place for those on a budget who want to be near the RLD. The Luxer is fantastic value for money. It's not the Ritz, but if you want a clean, comfortable hotel, a stones throw from Centraal Station in the red light district of Amsterdam, then the Luxer is a great choice. it's a little bit noisy, but that has to be expected given the location. The rooms are slightly dated and only 5 dutch channels on the TV, […] but that was easily compensated by the free (and fast) wi-fi access. Overall VFM (Value for Money) rating is very high for price vs location. Devamı

L’hôtel Luxer est un bon rapport qualité/prix. Bien que les rues soient animés dans les rues du quartier rouge, la chambre est relativement calme. La seule nuisance étant les cries des fêtards pendant la nuit mais rien de trop dérangeant. Je recommande de prendre la formule petit déjeuner qui est copieuse avec omelette, saucisses, bacon, fromage, croissants, […] fruits, ... La proximité de la gare et la position central dans la ville est très agréable si vous souhaitez visiter Amsterdam sur un weekend. Devamı

Udemærket hotel til pengene med god service. Hotellet var rent og pænt og det havde det nødvendige inventar til en storbyferie, hvor man alligevel næsten ikke er på værelset. Dog var det irriterende at morgenmaden ikke var med i prisen, den kunne dog købes til, men det var meget dyrt. Men var der ingen problemer med at finde billig morgenmad i byen […] . Devamı

A nice hotel with friendly staff. The building is old but charming. The room was small but it worked. Dont expect luxury. No traffic noise but could hear people talking in the corridor. Not a problem though since there are only a few rooms per floor so it did not happen often. The bed was good. Breakfast was ok. The wireless internet connection did […] not work. If you use the hotel mainly as a place to sleep I would definately recomend it. Devamı

Hotel just outside red light district. The hotel was nice, quiet and clean. The staff we met was good and two of them were very friendly and helped us a lot with things and maps. The hair dryer, water boiler and iron are not in the rooms but can be brougt from the reception. Very close to the station!

+:Flott frokost og trivelig frokostvertinne. Fikk gode råd om hva vi burde se og hvordan komme dit, både i forhold til gangavstander eller ved å bruke kollektivtransport. -:Det var dårlig med lys på rommet og støvet på nattbordene tydet på lettvint renhold. Heldigvis var badet reint og greit.
