Holiday inn Express Rome San Giovanni - Roma

Was there with a group of friends for the weekend. found this hotel really good to stay in. the rooms are comfortable and modern. the location of the hotel is a little outside central Rome but there is a number 85 bus that takes you directly to the centre (Colosseum) in about 7-8 mins. if you are getting a taxi from Termini, make sure the taxi uses […] the meter as the fair should be around €12! we got stung when we arrived first.enjoy! Excellent stay overall. Virtually everything was great: service, bar, etc, except this: (1) hote is dificult to find when you arrive for the first time. It's kind of almost unnoticeable; Ask them very detailed map before you arrive; (2) As in many hotels in Europe, internet was way too expensive

There is a lot of scope for improvement , especially maintainance. Bed quilts were old and wilted. Location not great for sight seeing. Not recommended for people who find difficulty in walking long distances.

I usually try to find Holiday Inn's wherever we go b/s they always accommodate our family of four. Have great breakfast and locations are usually close to metros. Now this is the first I say it will benefit of some carpet cleaning. The sheets had yellow spots and the odor was a little weird. I was surprise but overall it was OK

This hotel was overall good. If you prepare yourself well with regards to the location of the different metro and train stations you can actually get there from the airport with no problems. Location is not in the city center but the metro takes you wherever you want to go. I did not like the fact that there was no safe in the room. It's a very good hotel in general. Typical Holiday Inn with a touch of Europe. What I would appreciate is not to charge that much for internet connection.

We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms and every thing was great - nice to have a balcony for some fresh air and an extemely comfortable king + bed! . Yes you could hear the train station noise first thing - but nothing unacceptable. The best find was Soccos - a fantastic local restaurant recomended by the hotel - two minute walk away. This was a good hotel for sightseeing in Rome. It was close to the metro and train station. But if you like to have a large variety of places to eat, find another hotel. The hotel staff is not very accomodating when an unusual situation occurs. We got caught out in the rain and got drenched the day before leaving for home. I asked if they could do us […] a favor and let us dry three pairs of jeans in their housekeeping dryer so I could pack them, and they said absolutely not. So we had to pack wet clothes. Also, don't assume anything! Ask lots of questions when booking tours or calling for a ride to the airport. Devamı

Very hard to fault this hotel as it exceeded expectations. It can be busy which is a testament to its popularity. There is a bus stop about 100m from the hotel that runs straight to the Colliseum and cost 1 Euro. Only gripe is the cost of secure parking at 12 euros per night.

the staff of the San Giovanni should be commended for having recovered my wife's missing ring which we inadvertently left in our hotel room after we left for a cruise. We thank them for their efforts to locate the lost ring and returned to its rightful owner. I recommend this hotel and their sumptous daily breakfast.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the subway and less than 5 minutes from a train station. The staff was friendly, our room was clean, and the neighborhood is safe. You can take the bus or the subway to go to the main attractions. There is a restaurant right down the street that has good pasta and pizza and is open late. A bit south of city center, but within reasonable distance to Train/Underground Metro. easy access from Fumicino airport. Normal good standard on the hotel. Recommended.

If you are on a budget then this is a good hotel to choose. We stayed for 3 nights in April '10 with our two teenage kids and found the hotel location to be pretty good - about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro, which is nothing! The room is basic but clean, although there was a bit of mould in the bathroom. Breakfasts were fine too - managed to […] fill up hungry teenagers so I can't complain. Slight downside was the train track fairly close but it didn't disturb us so long as window was closed. Overall, I'd recommend this especailly as ther is a lack of affordable hotels in Rome. We didn't see any reviews for this hotel, but it was worth it. The location is not too bad, from Roma Termini (Main Train Station to go to Venice, Florence..etc) is about 5 stops in the metro line A to Ponte Lungo metro station. From this station to the hotel is about 7 or 8 minutes walking, so if you have a lot of luggage it might be tough to walk […] there. We were able to take a shuttle from the airport to the hotel for $50 euros (4 people). We were able to leave most of our luggage at the hotel's depository room while we went to a few other cities in Italy. We had a reservation at this same hotel the night before going back home. Breakfast was excellent and included!! They spoke good English and were very friendly!! We were able to buy bottle water at the corner store for less than $1.00 euro each!! Area is safe and this is a really good hotel if you don't mind walking a little!! Devamı

Dejligt hotel lidt uden for centrum, rigtig pænt og rent, super betjening og dejlig morgenmadsbuffet. Der er ikke rigtig noget at se i nærområdet, men det er meget nemt at komme til centrum af Rom både med bus, tog og metro.

Huoneiden varustus oli niukka, ei vaatekaappeja eikä -hyllyjä. Huoneet olivat tilavat. Ei tallelokeroa. Joissakin huoneissa oli hieman tunkkainen haju, vaikka huoneessa oli tupakointikielto. Siisti, toimiva kylpyhuone. Pyyhkeet vaihdettiin joka päivä. Aamiainen oli tyypillinen hotelliaamiainen, tosin leipänä vain 2 vaihtoehtoa, pienet sämpylät ja leipä. […] Leikkeleitä, juustoa, jogurttia, munakasta, makeaa kahvileipää jne. Tarjolla ei ollut hedelmiä. Valitsimme hotellin siksi, että sijaitsee lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä metroasemasta. Metrolla oli helppo ja nopea kulkea keskustaan ja nähtävyyksille. Hotelli sijaitsee lähellä rautatietä, tästä ei kuitenkaan ollut häiriötä, yöllä junien ääntä ei kuulunut ollenkaan. Kokonaisuutena hyvä ja valitsemme tämän saman hotellin myös seuraavalla matkalla. Bonjour, Je conseille vivement cet hôtel à toutes personnes qui recherche un bon rapport qualité prix. Hors de la ville mais très facilement accessible avec les transports en commun. Déjeuner copieux et de bonne qualité. Seul bémol la mauvaise insonorisation des murs. Bon séjour à tous

Отель очень удачно расположен, 10-15 минут на автобусе и ты у Колизея, в 5 минутах станция метро и жд станция. Очень хорошие и вкусные завтраки. Номера не большие, но вы там находиться практически не будете. Платное ТВ и интрнет.

muy buen hotel, es para recomendarlo. le faltaria en los lugares donde hay escaleras hacer una rampa,hay lugar y se podria solucionar el movimiento de maletas sin tanta dificultad.

Bien que marqué en centre ville cet hôtel est vraiment trop loin du centre surtout lorsqu'il y a une grêve des bus ou des manisfestations des indignés qui bloquent les bus...Impossible de rentrer à pied...il vaut mieux payer plus cher et pouvoir rentrer à pied.... Pas de cafetière dans la chambre comme noté dans les équipements....Confort très spartiate […] de la chambre...Environnement peu agréable...la rue est plutôt sale.... Devamı

Rooms and hotel were in nice condition, room was clean. Air condition was good in the summer's heat. Close to Tuscolana train station, so you could hear the trains arrive at the station, did not bother us though. It took some 15-20 minutes to get from the hotel to central (Spagna's station) with a metro. The location was in suburbs of Rome, so there […] was pretty much local people around the hotel's surroundings (which brightened our days). A local trattoria was great compared to many of Rome's central "tourist ristorants", and was much affordable too. Hotel staff was a bit 'cold' in the and didn't give a one smile throughout the visit -- e.g. a simple "thank you for your visit" would have been nice as we were leaving.. but instead that.. nothing. So if you don't like to walk or can't walk long distances, you can be happier at a hotel closer to the center. Devamı

TRES CALME REPOSANT PETIT DEJEUNER COPIEUX METRO A PROXIMITE

Dato che ero a Roma per lavoro, ho voluto allungare la permanenza standoci il week end (della beatificazione) alloggiando in questo albergo. La prima grossissima delusione è dovuto dal fatto che la wifi è a pagamento (ben 2 euro mezz'ora, addirittura 4 per 1 ora, oltre 10 euro per 24 ore). Oltre a questo, dopo aver ottenuto l'accesso, dovevo accedere […] entro un'ora dall'attivazione dell'utenza, altrimenti avrei perso tutto. Avevo necessità di collegarmi per motivi legati al lavoro e ho dovuto pagare per questo. Non c'era nessun avviso sulla scadenza del tempo, per cui mi sono dovuto arrangiare. In bagno non ho trovato le solite cose (shampoo, sapone,cuffia) in quanto c'è un avviso che dice che bisogna chiedere (a quel punto non si capiva se era a pagamento o meno). La camera è abbastanza grande e molto confortevole e pulita e si affacciava alla ferrovia ma non è stato un problema perché avevo il sonno pesante quindi non sentivo minimamente i treni che passavano. Non c'era però il consueto appoggia valige per cui ho dovuto fare tutto per terra o sul letto. La colazione è abbondante e internazione quindi ok per me. La posizione è scomodina ma facilmente raggiungibile in metrò anche se si trova a 10' dall'albergo. Non è stata ricevuta nessun assistenza per il fatto che sono arrivato prima delle 14 e m'è stato offerto di depositare i bagagli nel deposito senza nessuna possibilità di potersi rinfrescare.
