Courtyard by Marriott Salinas Monterey - Salinas

For the price of this hotel, it was not close to what I expected. It was convenient and the staff was nice. I will give them that. But the condition and amenities of the room was below standard. The water mixer (?) on my shower was broken so it phased between cold and hot. They were nice enough to give me the key to another room to shower but it still […] was not consistant. Besides this, there was no in room fridge or microwave, which I usually use. No in-room guide to the hotel. The pool area appeared nice at first, but was peeling into the pool when you looked closer. Everything about this Courtyard was fine, BUT the heater didn't work in my room. i didn't realize this until 10:30pm and didn't want to move rooms, so I had the hotel bring up 2 extra blankets. I was so freezing over the night. If you stay here, check the heating and air asap!

We booked as a family of 4 (2 grown up girls) a room with two queen size beds. We received instead a room with a king size bed and a pull out sofa. We had to put on the linen by our self and the only compensation we received was a free breakfast. The bed was too small for 2 person, so we ended up with 3 person in the king size bed. New, clean, convenient, and close to freeways and restaurants. Indoor pool a plus!

Overall we had a satisfactory experience. However, when I went to the restaurant for breakfast, I asked for a table for three. The hostess looked around from where she was standing and said that there wasn't any, even though the restaurant was a make shift sitting arrangement, that is they put few tables in the lobby and called it restaurant and there […] were plenty of tables for two. I asked if she could put two tables together. She said yes but did not move. Then she told me that I could start sitting that she would go there and put the tables together. I told her that I would wait until the table was set, and had to ask my son to help her out. We then sat at the table for about 10 min and nobody came to help us, even though I said I would order from the menu and not from the buffet. We decided to leave without breakfast. By the way, there were glass cups around the pool and dirty towels with no guests there (it was 10pm when we went to the pool). Devamı

Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. The business center was nonexistent and the bar/lounge was not upto Marriot standards.

Thank you for providing a clean, non-smoking, pet free hotel!!! The service at the front desk was very helpful to us in finding where to go and what to see.

This hotel was not up to the standards one would expect of a Courtyard Marriott. The room was small, the mattress was cheap, the bath towels were thin and small, all in all it was very mediocre. For what we paid in Salinas (not exactly a world-class destination) this place should have been MUCH better. Extremely sterile and without any character. You'd […] be better off staying at a Days Inn for half the price. Devamı

The hotel was clean & comfortable. The staff was pleasant.
