Hands Down, the best placd to stay in Yosemite! Curry Village has the best food in Yosemite park, has a bar with very reasonable prices, and the showers are free and hot. I never had a wait for any meal or a shower. Bring a lock for the bear box, as the bears and racoons know how to open them.

The stay was in a canvas tent, the location was ideal, and the rate reasonable for the location. I didn't have to set up a tent, so that was great, and there were beds within. The overnight low was about 45 degrees and so the tent got cold at night, but nothing my sleeping bag and a beanie couldn't handle. One can borrow a blow dryer from housekeeping, […] but bring your own, as they ran out when I went for one. We ate at the Awahnee Bar, and their menu could use updating, but otherwise our meal was decent and filling. We had a great time! I would definitely stay again. We booked into an unheated tent but got upgraded due to the snow staff all very friendly. Great place great adventure would return again

the receptionist were unhelpful for upgrading my room.

I stayed in an unheated tent cabin during some freezing cold nights. Yes, it was dang cold, but so worth it not to have to drive in and out of Yosemite each night. Bring extra blankets and be prepared to walk to your cabin. I did have a small problem with near tents not realizing how much their voices would carry after dark. Yosemite is awesome, but the tents at Camp Curry are bunched together with several other tents. Your neighbors (plural) will be 4-5 feet from your tent. Sometimes these tents have families and babies. The "heated" tents do not get very warm...

Pros: Good location with views to both Yosimite falls and Half Dome. Cons: No barbecue in the facility.

Absolutely wonderful place, right in the heart of Yosemite. Lots of amazing trails begin nearby. Could have been a bit cleaner. Make sure to get a heated tent.

Check in process is a pain. You park your vehicle, get your luggage together to go to the check-in router. There, you are told your lodge is in different location, so you have to go back in the vehicle to drive to the lodge. Staff are check-in counter was not very friendly nor helpful. We arrived at around dinner time, and the only restaurant around […] (in the main lodge building) won't seat you unless you have reservation, and the available seating was limited. We knew it would be simple living i the tents of Curry Village. But it would certenly be convenient to have some woollen blankets in bed for the Autumn time!! It was freezing! Love from Anne-Marie and Soeren, Denmark!

over all very nice place for the price. The only bad thing about it was hearing the slamming doors of the food containers all night. Yosemite was amazing.

If you've got a warm sleeping bag and are ready to rough it, this is a great deal. Overnight low was 36 degrees F.

People shall always remember that its a National Park, And staying at The Curry Village is the nest best Experience next to Camping.

We stayed in Curry Village last Sunday Sept 24th and we literally we froze our behinds off. The unheated cabins are not recommended at this time of year. The cotton sheets were cold as soon you rolled off them. A normal tent would be far warmer than this. It had gaps in the door and flaps you couldnt close so cold air was coming in all night. The curry village is very basic, tents, blankets, towels, bear box, safe and one chair, all good if its lovely and warm but hard work if it pours it down like it did when we were there. Yosemite is an amazing place and curry village is a great option if you just want a bed to sleep in but just don't expect too much. Good shop close by, pizza was expensive […] and we heard lots of people mention the buffet wasn't great so we didn't try this. Coffee bar in the morning was handy for breakfast. Devamı

Enjoyed our stay at Curry Village. The Wife was scared for months before about bears, however of course we didn't see one. Lots of other wildlife about and the village is in a great location to enjoy all of Yosemite, the free bus stops at the bottom of the entrance. It's glorified camping for the pampered camper. Rustic but it's all about the location! Great place.

perfectly located in Yosemite Valley with a little frontier or boy scout romance it is nice, fitting, conveniently located but - it is no hotel or motel. It is in many respects more camping, featuring shared restrooms and showers, than a hotel/motel. But! the location and the surroundings are just too impressive. This is ideally located for exploring Yosemite, there are 3 bus stops at this site which provide you access to all the other sites within the village for shops, restaurants, and bus stops for other tours. The check-in staff were very helpful and informative. The tent/cabin was more spacious than i was expecting and had a double bed, shelving unit, bedside […] table, mirror and safe. The downsides were that we were both bitten by tiny bugs many times during the night and woke up scratching all over and it was very noisy around the camp from 6am onwards making it impossible to sleep in. Also the toilets and shower block sometimes got busy so there was a queue at times. The buses ran every 10-15 minutes so you hardly ever had to wait and the drivers were helpful. All-in-all we enjoyed the stay, Yosemite is spectacular and Curry Village was well located for the things we wanted to do. Although it was very expensive per night it was worth paying this just to avoid staying outside of the centre and having to drive in. Devamı

This is a great place to stay at Yosemite. Centrally located with easy access to trail heads. Must remember that they are basically tents so the unheated ones might be cold at night. Also if it rains it could get muddy.

The location of curry village was ideal perfect view of half dome and many other sights. Our room for what it was i thought was very clean and comfortable even though i didnt spend much time in it. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget who loves the outdoors.

Yes, it is a tent. Yes, it gets cold. Yes, this is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and this place puts you right in the middle of it. It was one of the best values of my trip.

Very dirty and not comfort

Finally i could not sleep there. My trip was delayed to go Yosemite so I needed late check-in. I had tried to call the registeration center many times from 8 PM through 10:30 PM but nobody answered. All my family were a little bit worried because of young daughter of mine. If registeration center was closed, then we did not have any other solution to […] stay in Yosemite. We were just strangers there. So we booked another hotel which is located around before 50 miles. Next day i visited reg. center and complained to them. Devamı

A great place for people who are ready for something very rustic. There was a lot of snow and ice and puddles to navigate. The heated tents were warm enough in the night, which had -2 celsius as a low.

I expected the tents to be damp and the restrooms, being a public one, to be a mess. But when I got there, I was really surprised that I was wrong. We got a heated tent and were extremely statisfied with the room we had. The beds may not be the best kind and not recommended for those who expect a 4 or 5 star treat, but for those who like outdoor adventures, […] this place would be highly recommended. The tent cabins are a cost-effective way to make the most of your time exploring all the park's assets. Time and $$ are saved compared to staying outside the park. Make reservations at least 2 months in advance of your stay. Restrooms and showers are a short walk from any cabin. The bear-proof lockers outside each cabin are an excellent idea. Coat […] hangers, clothing hooks and shelf space were nice to have, as were a wall mirror and extra floor space. The only light source is an overhead bulb, but that was enough for our needs. The lightbulb socket had a recepticle so that something else could be plugged in, but you would have to stand on a chair to reach it. Well, maybe a 7-foot tall person wouldn't have to do that. The closeness of food services was a pleasant surprise. That and gift shops are a short walk from the cabin area. All staff that we encountered were quite pleasant, efficient, and eager to perform their jobs well. Devamı

Camp Curry in Yosemite CA. was a wonderful experience. We reserved a non heated tent but if you are looking to reserve one of these tents during winter or spring! make sure you bring allot of thick warm blankets because the temperatures at night drops about 20 degrees or more. I would do this again but more prepared during winter or spring time. Bus […] location are near and fast and free, as for restaurant only one breakfast/lunch and kitchens close early! Well, only place available at this time. Heated canvas tent was in fact quite cold, say +6 Celsius inside and 0 outside. Bring a sleeping bag...

For my dollar, you can't beat the Curry Village experience. Whenever I'm in Yosemite, I'll always stay here bar none. First, this is one of only a few places right in the park. You're located in the center of everything, within 1/2 mile of major hiking trails and near food. You'll save yourself a lot of driving and expense here. Check a map to see […] what I mean. Second, the staff was very helpful. I'm glad to say they seem to have people working there who like their job. Third, this is a unique experience. If you're into fine hotels, this isn't the place. If you're into camping but don't want to travel with equipment and would like a nice, warm bed, this place will exceed your expectations. Because this is almost an outdoor experience, make sure you check the weather in Yosemite for when you plan to travel. I went at the end of October and it was 40-45 degrees at night, 70 during the day. Bring blankets or a sleeping bag for the winter months. Die Lage war wunderbar. Direkt im Nationalpark... Die Lodge war sehr alt und hat schrecklich gemüffelt, die Fenster liessen sich nicht mehr richtig schliessen.... ich würde niemals mehr wieder in in diese Unterkunft gehen!

Sehr nettes Zeltdorf in wunderschöner Umgebung. Im April hatten wir noch Schnee und nachts war es doch sehr kalt ca. -10 °C. Man sollte einen Schlafsack mitbringen, da das doch wärmer hält als die gestellten Decken. Die Sanitäranlagen sind sauber und können aufgrund eines Zahlencodes den man beim Check-In bekommt nur von "Hotelgästen" genutzt werden. […] In der Village sind auch einige Restaurants. cadre pittoresque mais les routes pour y arriver sont mal indiquées. Les cabanes sont mal isolées surtout contre le froid (on voit le jour en-dessous des châssis). De plus, le thermostat du "radiateur" de notre cabane ne fonctionnait plus. Donc, soit on cuit lorsque il marche, soit on gèle si on l'éteint.
