Villas By the Sea Resort & Conference Center - Jekyll Island

This was my husband's and my second time and we had a nice mini-villa last year, but the one we had this year was absolutely wonderful! The only thing I would improve, which we would appreciate, is to have king size beds. But other than that, I highly recommend Villas by the Sea and we plan to continue going back!

Villa smelled like mildew, air-conditioning duct in one bedroom was covered by a bed, staff would not move us, very unsatisfied with this stay

The restaurant at this hotel was the only good thing about it. The “hotel” is actually an apartment complex with each individual unit owned by individual retirees and furnished with personal and individual furniture. I’m not a complainer but the bed was the least comfortable bed I have ever slept on. It was so firm that my hip and shoulder were sore […] when I work up. This was a great place to stay. Very nice villa and we had a great time. We will definately be going back and will stay again. I highly recommend the Villas by the Sea.

I have been going to jekyll for 15 yrs now,for some reason,i never stayed here,villas by the sea.i had the best service,people that worked the front desk,treated me like family,even maintenance people were very helpful.i would recomend to everyone,visiting the wonderful, beautiful jekyll island.

We were very disappointed. It is not worth the price we paid, I would have rather stayed in a budget hotel than this one. The decor is extremely dated and random unrelated objects in the room. We saw bugs in the room. An overall regret.

Unit was clean, quiet and everything worked. Check-in and out was fast and efficient. But the card entry mistified me until it trained me to be patient. Guy

The rooms were nice and fairly comfortable, but the downstairs bedroom had alot of fleas. I was bitten several times and killed several fleas. I feel like the high amount paid for the room, It should have been nicer, and without fleas.

We stayed in a beautifully decorated villa with great beach access. One thing to know about this hotel is that each villa is owned by different people. We actually were assigned to two other villas that had some issues before we ended up in one that was great. So if you get a villa that doesn't suit your needs or has problems, the staff is very accommodating […] and friendly. They will do what they can to put you in a villa that will make you happy. The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We were very happy with the accommodations. The staff was courteous as well and our stay very pleasant.

Stayed in a two bedroom beachfront condo. Lobby staff was very pleasant and helpful. Condo was clean and appropriately appointed. View of the ocean was non existent from first floor but could be seen from master bedroom. I am glad we went for beachfront as by the pool it was extremely noisy. Family enjoyed discovering all the sea creatures on the beach […] at low tide. Driftwood beach is just a short walk down the beach for wonderful pictures. We rented bikes and toured the marsh on the bike trails. Had dinner at the Driftwood - very good. Overall we had an enjoyable time at the Villas by the Sea. Devamı

Villas by the Sea is one of the nicer hotels in the area and is more of an apartment complex then an actual hotel. I would recommend not ordering a room with an "ocean view" as that is simply impossible to guarantee as it is not possible to view the ocean on the first floor. You might have better luck if you get a second floor room but the overgrown […] bush there probably will not allow you to see the beach. However, the pool area rooms are noisy so if you want more quiet then I would recommend the "ocean view" rooms. Staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Devamı

My family and I recently stayed at the Villas by the Sea and overall we were satisfied with our stay. But, we paid extra money for a room located on the beach with an ocean view, what we got was a two story condo that was literally a stone throw from the ocean as long as you could clear the row of trees that was between the condos and the ocean. Our […] room was right on the water but there was no beach during high tide just a rock wall. You could only see the ocean from one bedroom on the second floor. The condo itself wasn't that bad, I have stayed in a lot better and a lot worse but I feel that I was wayyyyyyyy overcharged for this room. I stayed in a 4 star hotel in Las Vegas that was cheaper than half the price of this place and this place is a 3 star at best. Devamı

Can't say enough about all the staff including housekeeping. Everyone was great. All recommendations for places to eat and things to do were just what they told me, great fun!
