The Hyatt House Gaithersburg was overall our favorite hotel in years. We were impressed not only by the cleanliness of our room but also by the layout and the attention to detail--it seemed our every need was anticipated and met. Great hotel!

Lady checking me in was rude, room smelled and when I called to complain was told they would make a note of it; toilet made flushing noises all night. I will never stay there again!

My family and I were taking our first trip to DC, but didn't want to stay in-town because of high prices and fees for everything. This hotel offered complimentary shuttle to and from Shady Grove Metro Station, free parking, complimentary breakfast and free wifi. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Phillip, the most wonderful and helpful person. My kids […] loved him!! He showed us all the ins & outs about getting around DC and using the Metro Rail. He made lots of suggestions on which sights to see and which to miss... see the FREE stuff!! The hotel was renovating their lobby/bar area which would have been nice to have use of, but will definitely give us a reason to come back and check it out. Wonderful staff! Devamı

Suited for more than a 1 night stay. very clean, comfy, and more then enough room. staff was very pleasant. they offer several services except housekeeping daily.

Clean, comfy rooms with all appliancies. Friendly staff. Work was being done in the front lobby/ breakfast area but this did not detract from our stay. Excellent variety of breakfast foods and also food at evening socials. Very close to the Metro and with free Shuttle service, this was a cost-saver. Also there's a shopping plaza next door (walking distance) […] that has a supermarket. There are no elevators so if you are not staying on the ground floor, you will have to take the stairs. Devamı

Very bad management, they forget to makeup our room during our 2 nights stay. It appears a very old hotel just change management under HYATT house. It is NOT up to any HYATT House standard. Don't fool by the name

Location was very convenient and the room was very clean. We were upgraded when the room we booked wasn't available upon when we checkd in. Breakfast was yummy. They have Tazo tea and Starbucks coffee. One of the remotes didn't work and one of the lights didn't work, minor inconveniences. The hotel's walls are pretty thin, we could hear a dog yapping […] for about 2 hours one or two doors down and we could hear guests entering their room at about 2am like they were walking into our room. My family and I have paid more at other hotels for less. Needless to say we will make this hotel a MUST on our next trip to Maryland. We will recommend this hotel to friends and family. It was like a home away from home. The room was clean and fully equipped we couldn'd ask for more. Our 3 year old loved it!

This location provides the comfort and features just as is promoted beforehand. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The shower was particularly luxurious for this type of overnight stay. I would definitely stay there again if I were in the Washington DC area as it is quite convenient in location for those headed to or out of the metro area […] from New York/Pennsylvania or states to the west such as Ohio. This was a great value. The price was quite right, the rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, the full kitchen was a great plus. What I didn't know was that the hotel is pet-friendly. We had a great stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. We took the Meto into DC each day. It was a short drive from the hotel. The room was very comfy and the breakfast was great. The only down side was that they only had one person covering the breakfast room and she had a hard time keeping up with all the people. It seemed that people had to wait for […] the coffee pots to be refilled each morning. The luxorious king size bed was extremely comfortable. The large bath towels were soft and fluffy. Everything about the suite was wonderful. My husband and I stayed for two nights and are looking forward to returning for another visit to D.C. The morning breakfast bar was plentiful. I would suggest to provide yogurt and more fruit selections for those […] of us who do not eat carbs. But there were eggs, grapefruit sections, and red apples to fill up on. Bananas, oranges, and grapes would have been welcome choices for me. Patricia at the front desk was extremely helpful in guiding us to the directions and use of the subway into D.C. I only gave it four stars for the comfort factor because the bed was too soft; my husband and I prefer a firm mattress. The room was absolutely spotless which we consider most important. Plenty of room to stretch out, you could even entertain comfortably. Full kitchen, comfy tv viewing area and easy parking. What more could you ask for. Our stay at HYATT house was great. My family and I stayed there for 2 days. The staff people were nice, the rooms clean. The neighborhood is quite and neighborly. One recommendation- the hotel management should ensure that the stairs to the suites are clean too. Conplementary breakfast was great, and would definetely stay again.

This was a first-class overnight stay but also really good for visiting surrounding areas - we will certainly hope to be back. Everthing was just great. Suite was tremendous. Everything you could want was provided - even down to a dishwasher tablet for the dishwasher!

We arrived on Friday and shuttle pickup us from metro to the hotel. there is a $100 deposite for hotel stay four nights, I do not know the policy until arrival. Hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. My friends like it because we were living together. the only request is weekend pickup need to add up by hotel.

This hotel is clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The breakfast was good, too. My only problem was that when I tried calling the front desk, the phone just rang and rang and nobody picked up.

I never expected to walk into a 3 room apartment when I walked into my suite. You walk into a living room with a small full kitchen off the side. We were on the corner so we had large windows on both sides. The separate bedroom had a large comfy king sized bed with double door closure. There was a vanity outside the bathroom with a marble sink and a […] walk in closet off that area. The bathroom had a shower (no tub! for those who area looking for a tub) and toilet. The room was extremely clean and large/cozy. It's a shame that I was only there for one night because I would have liked to stay longer. The breakfast was in the lobby which was a separate building, but a minute walk from where the room was located. They had a large variety of foods, and even though they said breakfast went until 10 we got there at 9:15 and they were extremely busy and running out of many of the items. They also didn't restock everything once they ran out of it. There was eggs, potatoes, sausage, and french toast when we got there. They had other things that were empty and never restocked. That is the reason I only gave a 4 instead of 5. I also would have liked more than 2 towels in the room. That is a small amount for 2 people. Overall this place was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Devamı

This was a surprise...was not expecting such a lovely and accomodating suite. On same level or nicer than Residence or Homewood with each room having own entrance. Nice evening reception and friendly staff..plus the most comfortable bed I think I have encountered.

It was quiet, the black-out curtains were great, and beds were comfy. It was a bit of a haul to carry all our stuff (and our 4 kids' stuff) up 2 flights of stairs, but other than that, it was a great place for us. Thanks!

Overall the hotel was very nice. Our room was clean and it was great to have the extra space. The breakfast was nice and filling each morning. Two negatives were that the shower leaked water out onto the floor and there was a huge puddle after every use. The second was that we misplaced our key while our family was attending an event. I personally thought it was a great price for the size of the room you get with a kitchen. The only problem i had was having to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom-as i was sleeping in the main area on the sleep sofa. Also wish they had stored a couple of extra towels in the room. There was only two...though i'm sure i could have easily […] gotten more if i asked. The major problem we had with this hotel was the noise at 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM two of our three nights. Our neighbors next to our room and above our suite came out at night to smoke and drink. We asked them to go back to their rooms and they threatened us. We called the front desk and they said that security would be on their way. Security never came! […] These people were siting on the curb outside of our room in the middle of the night smoking, drinking and using profane language .The hotel did nothing about it!!!
