"Great place for the price"
We have stayed at this hotel on all of our frequent trips to the Wallingford area. Very convenient, clean, friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast is included.
"Comfort is not an option..."
Most terrible night of sleep I have had in ages - and I am a sound sleeper who crashes when I hit the pillow, usually. The bed and pillows were lumpy. The room never got to a comfortable temp with the AC cranked on high the entire evening/night (and this is in April in the northeast!). A sound of water running in the wall next to me was irritating in […] between the rattling/clanking air unit kicking off and on every ~5 minutes. This is a great location and price, but you dont even get what you pay for. The decor is nice, but comfort is majorly lacking. I would never recommend this place. Devamı
It was serviceable but not enjoyable. I will be going up to Wallingford more often and would not mind staying there again if I had to. However, I will definitely look for a better option in the future.

The room was clean and comfortable. Everything was to our expectations except for the breakfast in the morning. I've stayed in several Fairfield Inns and this was the only time when there was no sausage or bacon available. No hard boiled eggs either which is something I really forward to (my husband, the bacon). The only eggs available were in the form […] of packaged western omlets which had to be microwaved. When I inquired about the missing items the associate running the breakfast room did apologize but offered up no explanation. "Great place to stay"
Breakfast is included and it is wonderful. Friendly, conscientious staff keep the buffet stocked and are always willing to go the extra mile. We stay here every time we are in the Wallingford area.

I was visiting my daughter at QU and was told via the internet that The Fairfield was 7 miles away. No it was longer but that was fine. There is NOTHING around the hotel altho they do have a contential bfast. There were too many kids and families trying to feed all.. I did get coffee and was on my way. The Hotel has a great location, friendly people working there and a good price. There is no walking distance stores or restaurants but if you have a car is very easy to drive around places.

extremely helpful and attentive staff. everything else was good not great but the Staff (every one I came in contact with! Especially the breakfast crew and the front desk!) was responsive and above average.

"Very Nice Hotel"
We stayed in this hotel one night while visiting family. The staff was very nice and very attentive. The breakfast was great and even had a waffle iron. We also took our 7 month to the pool. It was very clean and a nice size. We will definitely stay here again!

The rooms are spacious, clean and beds are comfortable. Free internet and breakfast are added value. Staff was warm and friendly and made us feel welcome on a late arrival and cold night. "College Bowling stay over"
We used this location for our Men's Bowling Team. It's very nice and the cost is fair. The place is kept well and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Many hotels promise that they will provide excellent service and don't follow up on their promise. These folks went out of their way to help us. Not a luxury hotel but well kept and great service.

I stayed at this hotel for New Year's Eve 2011. We went to a nearby party at the Season's in Wallingford and this was a very convenient hotel to stay at for the night. Extremely easy to get to off the highway, and a great value for the price! Would reccomend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We stay in the area for brief visits usually twice a year. There are 2 other hotels right next to this one and I have stayed at 2 of the 3 multiple times. I still compare them all each time and this hotel has won the last few times. They are all pretty close on room comfort. They are all in the same neighborhood. Our stopovers are brief so we don't […] look for "long stay benefits". Being frugal the balance is weighed on a $$ for value each time. This hotel does not have an indoor pool (which we don't ever take/have the time for anyway). It does have coffee available most anytime. This hotel is one of two in our comparison that offers a continental breakfast. They used to rate as "very basic" for breakfast but have improved on this for each of the past two years. For continental they have a very congenial staff offering a decent variety of cereals, breads, fruit, yogurt, juice, packaged biscuit sandwiches, packaged quiche and etc. (no one is cooking bacon and omelets). In a nutshell - on a walkthrough the 'third' hotel did not appear to offer as much while asking for the same dollar amount. The one with the pool also had a slightly better breakfast offering but for the last two years their price was higher than 'slightly better' warranted so... with everything weighed - this hotel gets a thumbs up over it's very local competition. There's a good chance that I'm wasting my time here. I'm saying they beat the other local guys by having a little more of what I want. "Clean and Convenient - but Ouch!"
Six members of my family stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Two hours after leaving we realized we had left an expensive swimsuit in one of our rooms. We called about the item immediately and were told by the front desk that the cleaning staff "never saw it". We were planning on recommending this hotel to several friends who will be staying in […] Wallingford for a family wedding next summer. Needless to say, we will not be back to this hotel again. A clean and pleasant motel at a reasonable cost, just off Interstate 95. Plenty of hot water. Free morning bagels, coffee, and orange juice were nice. (As usuaI, a make-your-own hot cup of tea tasted of chlorine.) I actually enjoyed the quiet location between the woods and a cornfield, but be advised this location is a four-mile drive from anywhere, […] including Choate and charming downtown Wallingford. It also lacks the nice kitchenettes and pet-friendly policies of the adjacent "Homewood Suites," which we also visited, though of course those can cost more. Fairfield Inn staff were cheerful and polite, but given the isolated location, I found it odd that repeated requests for a map of the area were met with a smiling but repeated "No" -- even when I made it clear I'd pay for one. Finally I asked how to get to a specific nearby church, at which point it turned out the clerk could (and did, quite cheerfully) find directions Online, print them, and hand them to me at no charge. So, oddly enough, if you ask for a map of Wallingford or the adjacent town of Durham & environs, you'll be told none is available at any price. But if you name a SPECIFIC local destination, they'll happily print you out a destination-specific map or directions, free of charge. Go figure. Devamı
"Great Place"
This hotel is one of the best I've stayed in. The hotel was off an interstate but we heard no road noise. The staff were exceedingly friendly. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast area was kept well stocked with a variety of foods. The gounds were well kept. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Check inn staff were excellent ! I needed directions to Lyman Orchards and they looked them up and had them printed for me on my way out of the hotel ! Very appreciated !
