Milton Motel Hershey - Hershey

For the price I paid for the room you'd think it would be a very nice room. Not even close. The room smelled musty like it hadn't been used or cleaned for a long time. And when it rained for two days straight the room leaked! We ended up leaving and finding another nicer hotel.

Ok...so it was an inexpensive motel. But i will warn you...bring your own towels, bathroom necessities, coffee if you want it (they have coffee pots in the room) and breakfast. They did have a few things out in the morning...but we ate our poptarts.

A wonderful place to stay! It's five minutes away from Hershey park and Chocolate World! It's comfortable and clean, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay again the next time I plan a trip to Hershey!

I only stayed a night, but it wasnt a horrible place for the price. There was a tile missing in the bathroom. I would go again for a night or two. I would stay there for a lengthy vacation. Just not that kind of hotel for that.

When we arrived in the room there was someone's hair all over the bed. There was trash on the nightstand. I picked the phone up to call the office and found the phone not working. No, towels were in the room but someone's dirty soap was in the bathroom. The TV was very fuzzy and the sound kept fading. Even the toilet paper holder was ripped from the […] wall. I was also told I needed to pay for my room which I told him that I already paid. He told me that I only gave my credit card to hold the room. The hallways had ripped carpet and you had to be careful that you would not trip. It was by far the worse place I ever stayed. Devamı

The hotel was just what we wanted. I attended the AACA Fall Hershey Car Show. Myself and a friend stayed, the room was clean and neat. Directv worked great. Dukes restaurant next door had great food. I've already booked a room for next year. I was told by Bill the caretaker (good guy BTW, very helpful) that the rooms were going to be remodeled, so that […] will make it even better next year. The location was ideal especially with the restaurant next door. There was a tile missing from the ceiling in the bathroom probably due to a plumbing repair upstairs but that was the only negative. The room was clean and tidy. Decent sat TV service but the wireless signal was very low. Probably too few access points.

the motel is set to be renovated soon. It was clean, right next to a great resturant and only about 10 mins from hershey park it had a fridge and microwave cable and dvd player. We enjoyed being close to Hershey Park, but the motel itself was a bit of a dump. Not clean, smelly, with a dirty pool. Listed accomodations included DVD player, but none was provided. Refused extra towels to bring to the pool, had to haggle with the manager for them. Wi-fi did not work in the room. Unsatisfactory.

OK, I really wasn't expecting anything fancy. I normally stay with my kids at hotels in the La Quinta or Best Western range. And normally I am not the type to write negative reviews. But here are some of the things that bugged me about this place. They state in the office that they charge extra for children (but during online booking that was not stated). […] The plumbing in the shower was loose and wiggly and only semi-functional, there was no fan in the bathroom, there were only two bath towels provided (no washcloths, no bath mat, no hand towels, no Kleenex), and the office was closed when we arrived at 7 pm to check in. The key was left in an envelope with our name on it. By mistake we put the key in the room next door to ours, and it opened that room too. The TV only worked on one channel. (I'm not a big TV watcher, but for others this might be an issue.) The breakfast was minimal and only available for 2 hours. There are no pool towels. My kids called it the "Creepy Motel." The only thing truly positive I can say about this place was that the beds were comfortable and the location was convenient to Hershey Park. Devamı

the motel was older it could use some TLC and updating but the location was good could get around easily w were right around a few good Diners I reccomend the Filling Station if your hungry locals abound and the prices were great skip the Hershey Pantry overpriced and the peach pie was lousy

Overall it was just a place to sleep and shower. The room needed revamping and the ceiling tile in the shower needed to be replaced. Upstairs leak caused tile severe damage. Suspecting mold growing. There were some sort of peanuts under the bed which shows that it was never really cleaned. Wallpaper was peeling and there was a huge crack in the ceiling. […] The lamp shades were torn and there was a dead moth in the AC unit. For future, I will not be staying here as I didn't feel at all comfortable. I will pay the extra money for hotel slightly outside of town. good luck trying to get a hold of the operator while calling from inside your room. there were 4 of us. NO TOWELS. it was a non smoking room that had cigarette burns all over the sheets. when i asked for towels. she handed me damp towels from the washer with red smudge all over it. wow. disgusting. one of the workers, Bill, was very helpful but the […] owner was so unprofessional. i visited the hotel office 4 times while i was there. if you had to stay there bring your own towels and sheets. im usually the last to comppalin about hotels but this took the cake. never again. It was a terrible hotel, dirty, tiles missing on ceiling, not mattress pad on bed, no fitted sheet on bed everything very very old. Asked for non-smoking room and wreaked of smoke, knob broken off (very noisy) air conditioner so couldn't control temp, it was either off or freezing. When we arrived, around six pm, the beds were not made, the air conditioner was put into the window with packing tape and cardboard and the dvd player had no wires or play button. They moved us to another room which was better.they had to get me a working dvd player. The ceiling had significant water damage. i first stayed at this motel about 4 years ago and was very satisfied. but this time was the complere opposite. it said online we could check in until midnight. we got there around 10:20pm and no one was there. the key was in the mail box. in the morning we were ready to leave and went to the office to check out around 9:45am and no one was there again. […] in the room.....there was a piece of trash on the desk, mold on the shower curtain. we had a room with 2 double beds but only had 3 towelsand 1 washcloth. there should have been enough for at least 4 people.. only one small bottle of shampoo and dead bolt lock did not work. i will never stay at this motel again. When I first got there, all was well the location was alright and it seemed safe. Then I got to my room where I had no towels, the deadbolt was broken so my door wasn't secure, and there was trash in my room. The staff was very friendly and gave me towels. The desk clerk was preoccupied. We had to get another room because water was leaking from the ceiling into the bath tub. Thankful the window opened so we could air the smelly room out.

First of all they couldn't find a key for our room. We had to leave for our appointment without a key. The desk closes at 10pm. We were at a college graduation ceremony and had to worry about being able to get in our room. We got back the key was left outside in a mailbox. As for the price I pay, I can not complain too much about this motel. The receptionsit, Bill, is very friendly and willing to help traverlers. If the room can be cleaned more carefully to get rid of those flying bugs, I would say this motel is OK for a budget traveler.

I generally take most bad reviews of a property with a grain of salt, but I really wish I'd have listened to some of the bad reviews about this hotel. When my boyfriend and I arrived, the first thing we did was look at the outdoor pool, which to our utter disappointment, was totally filthy. Then we were shown to a dim, dusty room that had this horrible […] putrid smell hanging in the air, and when we looked in the bathroom, there was a giant hole in the ceiling above the shower. We asked if it was a smoking room, and the manager said yes, but the smell in that room was NOT a smoke smell, it smelled like stale garbage. We were promptly moved to a different room at ground level, where we discovered that there were no blinds, only drapes that didn't fully close over the window, and no bolt lock on the door, just a doorknob lock. I was afraid to leave my purse or jewelry in the room, instead opting to leave it in the trunk of the car when we went to Hershey Park. When we returned from the park later that night, exhausted and ready for bed, we discovered that our bed had a ton of small winged creatures all over the sheets. We must have killed 20 bugs during the course of the night, and I couldn't sleep at all. Disgusting. And of course, to top off our lovely experience, when we left in the morning, the police were there on a domestic violence call. I didn't have exceptional expectations, but if I pay to stay in a hotel, I expect it NOT to be dirty and dangerous. Devamı

Standard motel quality experience. Room was very dirty - someone had actually written "Clean" with their finger across the room mirror that probably hadn't seen windex in months. The room came with one towel, no washcloth, despite the fact that three people were staying there. It was so dusty that my husband and daughter both had terrible allergy attacks, […] and we were only in the room for about eight hours total (late check in and out early the next morning). We had to be on the road before the continental breakfast started (at 7:30am), so I can't comment on that. All in all, it could be a decent experience, but the motel needs a new housekeeping staff. We requested (and booked) a non-smoking room. Upon entering our assigned room it was very apparent that it was a smoking room. We were switched to another room, but it wasn't ready (at 2:10 pm) so we had to temporarily move our stuff into our friend's room. When we did enter our reassigned room upon returning that evening, the carpeting was very damp […] and the room had a musty smell. (Supposedly the carpeting had been cleaned and wasn't dry yet??? If so, it shouldn't have been assigned!!!) We put towels down to try to avoid getting wet feet, and our footprints left pronounced wet "brown spots" on the towels from the water soaked up from the carpet.. There were no trash cans in the room or bathroom, no tissues, no clock radio, no DVD player, and no refrigerator & microwave as advertised on the web site. "Complimentary continental breakfast" was disappointing. Since it was only for one night and it was late, we didn't bother to complain ... but we won't be back. Devamı

You should definitely pass on this one. Don't let the Milton Motel Hershey name fool you. They have nothing to do with Milton Hershey. We paid for a non smoking room and when we checked in the smoke smell was overwhelming. We were given another room. One of the beds was broken, towels had stains on them and room did not look clean. this was an older hotel with small rooms. it was just my husband and I so the smallness of the room was not that big of a deal. It is an old hotel and the bathroom needs updated. For the price it was clean and in a good location. They guyat the front desk was friendly.
