Knights Inn Sandusky Oh - Sandusky

Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We selected Knights Inn mainly for cost.

We had a wonderful experience and will use the same location again when we return to the area.

Basic room, free wifi, coffee maker, and just around 2 miles from great attraction the price was great. Would stay again.

Too far away from water parks. In a crappy part of town. Toilet didn't flush all the way. A train went by every 2 hours. Breakfast didn't start until 8 am. The floor in the room above squeaked every time someone took a step. Internet was down my entire two night stay! Never again! Couldn't cancel my reservation.

I never would have stayed here if I had thought I would get Scabies from staying here.... Horrible Horrible Horrible experience.

I was happy with the price and the location also the amenities for the room was more than I expected for the price we paid. We had a microwave and coffee maker also a small refrigerator.The only thing that bothered us was dirty sheets. I could tell they had not been changed before our arrival.

The jacuzzi tub was a nice surpise, although we had to hold the drain lever down for it to drain. If you let it go it quit draining. I broke the glass coffeepot carafe & cut myself. When I told the gal at the front desk so she could tell the maid, she did not ask if I was ok or pursue the matter. Maybe they should buy plexiglass coffeepots?

As we were visiting Cedar Point this hotel came up as one of the closest to the park, and at a very reasonable price. We visited for the last weekend of the season. It is also our second stay here. The last was five years ago. It has a very impressive frontage. If you blur your eyes it might look a bit like the White House. The lobby is quite cosy […] and there is plenty of space for parking all round the building. The cleanliness of the room was excellent as last time. Only pity was our room did not have one of those fangled new flatscreen TV's as some other guests mentioned theirs did. We also met someone we saw there last time which was a nice surprise, another CP junkie. The nearby railroad which troubled me a bit last time did not bother me at all this visit, although it is something to consider. The trains are very long. I don't know the lady's name who was looking after us, but she was nice and kept us CP junkies well stocked up on muffins, bagels & donuts. If we decide to visit again in another five years this hotel will be chosen for sure. Devamı

the rooms are very nice it was my second time staying and i was surprised at what is all in the rooms but they were very clean and the staff was very polite and helpful i will definitely be staying again

We got this hotel room for a week for super cheap in the off season...It was comfortable, the room was clean and spacious, they allowed our dog and refunded our pet fee after we left, and had a decent free breakfast. The staff was decently friendly, some more than others. Theres a nice big field where you can take your dog out. Laundry facilities on […] site were nice to have too. I read a lot of the reviews and based my decision to book on those. Just like the reviews stated this motel was clean and convenient. I felt like I got what I paid for and the continental breakfast was good. It was just my sister and I and we felt safe the whole time.

Great front desk staff...even upgraded our room at no extra charge. I would stay there again next we go to Cedar Point.

This motel is a paradox--fine in some ways, strange in other ways. The reception at the desk was dreadful. The person was short and almost rude and certainly not welcoming and helpful. A different person the next day was more pleasant. The rooms were very well-appointed. They smelled a bit musty at first but that went away. One of the rooms rented by […] our party was not visited by housekeeping. The breakfast was varied and quite good; the toaster did not work very well and the wastebaskets were across the room from the place where you'd need one. No trays were available at the breakfast room, a screened-in pavilion, which must be very cold in the late fall and winter! It would be helpful if the staff would be trained to be pleasant and helpful, and if there were a map of the area with restaurants indicated, as you can wander around for a long time trying to find a place to eat. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms were clean and the continental was good. The beds were typical hotel beds--not fantastic, but certainly comfortable enough for our 3 night stay. Very nice place to stay, specialy for the money. Continental breakfast was the best I ever had at a budget hotel. I will stay there again for sure.

First: do not stay in a room on the "300" block, which is the building furthest from the office. The room was incredibly musty and the carpet, bedding, everything was damp. I went to the office manager, and he was willing to let me move rooms. We got a new room near the office and it was ok: it appeared clean and didn't smell, everything in the bathroom […] worked. The fan/ac/heater worked ok but it was extremely noisy, and it was not a consistent noisy so it was tough to sleep with. Even when it was off it made noise - huh?. The bedding was bad. The sheets were clean, but the pillows, blanket and bedspread were thin, uncomfortable and gross. I asked for an extra pillow and they said they didn't have any more. I suppose if you know this upfront you could bring your own bedding and make this a passable hotel. Oh, and I stayed two nights and room service did not come during the day. The good news is it was quiet on the outside, a 10 minute drive from Cedar Point, and the continental breakfast was not bad - yogurt, bagels, donuts, cereal, fruit. More bad news is there were no restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations within a few miles. I would recommend you pony up the big bucks to stay at a cedar point resort, or get a hotel that's a few minutes further away (it's a small town it would still be a short drive) that's nicer. all the hotels on Cleveland Ave. were similarly dumpy looking. The room was nice, clean and cold. The weather index was 97 degrees and the room was a perfect temp. The air conditioner was extremly loud but it worked, that's the only complaint I had concerning Knights Inn in Sandusky, Ohio.

This is the second year we stayed here. The price went up about 10 dollars, but still for the money, it can't be beat in the area. The room was comfortable, although too cold when we first went in. The room was clean, aside from a half-eaten apple that the previous guests must have left locked in the in-room safe. The only problem we had was the noise […] from the rooms on either side of us. On one side the TV was so loud that we watched the same station with our's on Mute and listened to the room next door. On the other side, everytime the door opened (which was often due to the couple's small children running around) it was so loud, it sounded like our door was opening. Anyone staying here should ask for a room in the back. A train went by while in the office, and it was almost too loud to talk, but when we went back to our room, and the train was still going by, you could barely here it outside the room, and couldn't tell at all in the room. Breakfast was very nice; good, clean pool, staff was friendly; needed a place near a resort hotel for conference at less cost; great accomodation for the price; easy to get to and travel from; clean; beds were comfortable; we would certainly stay here again if ever in the area; great area of the country for photography

After reading some of the other posts I must admit to being a little nervous about this selection. But all of my worries disappeared after arriving at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and willing to do whatever they could to make the stay great. The room was small but clean and in good condition. The pool was clean although I never went swimming. […] The breakfast bar was more then I expected. And the common areas were in great overall condition. A pleasant hotel to stay if you are going to the amusement/water park and want to save some money. The rooms are clean and the hotel property well maintained. The staff are very personable and quick to respond to requests. Little noisy because of passing train whistles and the auto shop adjacent to the property. This hotel was clean and tidy. It was just a stop over for us on our way to Cedar Point so very good value for the price.

For off property hotels for your Cedar Point Holiday, this is one of your best options. Its close to the park. Rooms are spacious, have a microwave & fridge; and the breakfast offers a variety of nice choices. The beds are not that comfortable for those with back issues, but all things considered, a great value. We were able to afford two rooms for […] my wife and I - and our two teenage kids, for half of what it cost us for the prior years stay at castawaybay with just one room for the four of us. i didn't expect a great stay from the looks of the outside, hotel is old, but maintained well. clean. i wasn't impressed with the fact that I booked a double bed room and when i got there, they gave me a king and couldn't give me a double, they were "booked up". my guest had to sleep on this very uncomfortable and rickety fold-out bed and the lady […] who checked me in was pretty rude. not impressed with the check in, but everything else was great. i only stayed two nights, for Cedar Point and the location is great. I brought my dog and my cat. this hotel opens to the outside, which i did not like, but i guess it could have been worse. at least it was clean. no complaint other than the check in process. :) Devamı

My husband and I recently stayed at this Knights Inn during a trip to Cedar Point. The hotel was decent, fairly clean, and really close to the park. For the price I would stay here again.

This hotel is only about a mile from Cedar Point. The rooms are ordinary as is the complimentary breakfast. The price is exceptional for the quality and location. If your goal is a comfortable clean place to sleep in between open to close Cedar Point fun then this is a great choice.

This motel was affordable,clean,&convenient.The service was friendly...couldn't have ask for more for the price.Will definitely stay when i go back to Sandusky.

Nervous for a 2-3 star hotel but very happy with service and cleanliness. Decent area and very close to cedar point. Frig and Microwave very handy for cooler packing, would stay there again.

All was good till I tried to go to sleep. the AC was so noisy that everytime it started up, I jumped.

Not clean enough. No lobby or place to congregate with others in our party. Tiny pool. Unhelpful staff (dinner recommendation? Chains. beach? we don't have one). I will say the whole Sandusky hotel market seems to be ghetto, so they do fit right in.

The main concern I have with our stay was not having the rooms we reserved over the internet (hotels.com). We reserved 3 rooms and when we arrived after our long day at Cedar Point (10:00 pm) they only had 1 room for 10 people. Luckily they had 2 more rooms available, but we could not be together. Other than that the stay was okay.

Room was very clean and staff was very nice. Not the Ritz, but was great for the price. Breakfast in the morning was also very nice. Will stay there again.

great location, friendly service, the Ritz it's not but for the amount of time spent in the room it didn't matter. The beds were hard, air conn worked great, clean washroom and no signs of bed bugs. If you're looking for something budget friendly, I recommend this hotel.

Very close to the town. Far enough away to be out of the congestion. Room service very considerate of our wants. Nice free continental breakfast. Only disappointment, the free internet service was down. The trains do not bother us, can't hear them over the air conditioner in the back area anyway. The staff was wonderful. We had to leave Cedar Point early because my son had a headache from the heat. The gentleman at the front desk told me how to get to the nearest gas station which pills to get, suggested to turn up the air, and have him take a nap.He would get better and we could enjoy the rest of the at Cedar Point!
