the room was large with a coffee maker. there was a fair amount of street noise if the windows were opened, but quiet if they were kept closed.it was a walkable distance to the train station and most of the sites. the breakfast was okay, but not special.the town itself is beautiful.

A very nice hotel at an affordable price. Room was comfortable and adequate for us. Breakfast served every morning was delicious. Very conveniently located as it is near to the train station and all the shops. The only downside is if your room is situated on the road-side like ours was because of the constant noise of the people outside.

Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Ideal location. Very near to train station and the Chappel Bridge. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast.

Great hotel and location - tricky to find by car as in restricted zone. Parking not cheap.

Stay away!!!!!!! I've read other reviews here about the rudeness of the staff. They were an understatement. Manager gave us a smoking room saying there were no smoking rooms. When we complained to Hotels.com, suddenly a non-smoking room became available. Also, she was rude and sarcastic upon check-in and it only went down from there. When we decided […] to check out she charged us for the 4 full nights vs. the 1 night that the hotels.com confimration showed as the policy. I find it hard to beleive that this manager is in the hospitality industry. Also, the rooms and bathrooms are hardly that nice that its worth putting up with a poor staff treatment. For Luzern, this is an excellent location for the price. Hotel rooms are relatively basic, but extremely clean and serve the purpose. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a delightful hotel. Right where you want to be. Better directions on how to get there are a must. I mean detailed instructions. Your GPS won't help.

Hotel had an excellent location in the midst of Old Town but reaching the hotel was problematic for those with rental vehicles. One way streets, pedestrian only walkways, and lack of signs directing arrival parties to the hotel caused us to drive around for 1.5 hrs. in search of the hotel while we were actually within 5 minutes of it. Be sure to Mapquest […] BEFORE arriving in Lucerne. We had a room overlooking the square and while the view was pleasant, the noise in the evening/early a.m. hours was a little overwhelming. Temperature was fairly hot so we needed to keep windows open for ventilation. We heard the coming and goings of all revelers throughout the night. Curteous service, English speaking employees, great breakfast, convenient to local sites, restaurants, attractions, better than U.S. Best Western's. Room sizes vary, ours was the smallest w/ 'tight' quarters. Not sure if rates vary by room number. Very clean and modern, as advertised. Included currency exchange.

Wenn man sich im Zimmer befand hörte man den Lärm vom Treppenhaus, was sehr störend war.

Hotel pulito, confortevole. La camera e il bagno erano FREDDI, non so se deriva dalla prenotazione con expedia in offerta. La colazione servita solamente dalle 7 del mattino, per chi viaggia per lavoro è tardi.

Sehr angenehm und ruhig gelegen.

Très bel hotel, magnifiquement situé. Chambre très spacieuse, propre et agréable. Petit déj correct et surtout personnel très très agréable. Je recommande fortement cet hotel!!!

Wir bekamen in diesem Hotel in historischer Umgebung ein grosses , hohes helles Zimmer. Der Brunnen auf dem Platz hat uns in den bequemen Betten in einen tiefen Schlaf geplätschert. Kaltes Früshtücksbuffet von guter Qualität. Einzig das WLAN war überlastet und nicht zu gebrauchen.

room, service & location OK, breakfast very weak, price way too expensive

Wir kriegten ein Upgrade in die Honeymoon Suite ins Hotel Magic, welches wir sehr schätzten! Möblierung der Suite gewöhnungsbedürftig, Grösse super. Aber das Beste ist der kleine Balkon mit Blick auf Reuss, Kapellenbrücke und Berge! Vielen Dank für das Upgrade! Frühstücksbuffet war klein aber aussreichend.... frische Früchte vermisste ich...

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr gross und hell, das Bad war sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Da das Hotel direkt im Zentrum von Luzern liegt, muss mit "lärmbelästigung" von Passanten gerechnet werden. Was uns jedoch nicht besonders störte. Vorteil dieser Hotellage: den Bahnhof erreicht man in 10 Minütigem Fussmarsch; […] Sehenswürdigkeiten (wie die Kappellbrücke) sind bequem zu Fuss zu erreichen; Einkaufsgeschäfte, Restaurant und Bars befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zum Frühstück: der Raum ist eher klein, das Frühstücksbuffet bietet einem alles was man braucht. Diverse feine Brote, Weggli und Gipfeli liegen bereit.
