I'm sure it used to be a really nice hotel. Needs a refurbishment. Room smelt like there had been a dog in there for a while.

Large room overlooking bay. Excellent bar restaurant with live entertainment Fri/Sat.

The views from the rooms are magnificent. The hotel is in transition of ownership. Renovations(much needed) will commence in June.Fabulous location. I believe the new owner will be Comfort Inns.

Pros: Close walking distance to most everything the town has to offer. Fisherman's village is a mile or so away but walk takes you through a very nice Gilcrest Park and a couple smaller ones. Clean room with no problems. Everything worked. Cons: Didn't like the fact they photo-copy your credit card. Horrible customer service. Hotel shows its age, and maintenance appears nonexistant. Cleanliness obviously not a priority.

The only thing I would change about my stay this time at the hotel is the pillows, they were hard while the bed was very comfortable. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and am pleased. The hotel is a gem of a value and located closed to all the places you want to go to. if the pillows werent hard I would give the hotel a 10 as a total.

Enjoyable weekend stay ! No complaints !

Needs a lot of work. Great location and great possibilities. A nice gutting would do wonders. Huge fafake Chinese urns and plants on every floor. Carpeting bunched up. pink or somesuch color rooms. Young lady who checked us in very polite and very nice.

The Hotel could use some updating and better locks on the patio doors. We will probably stay again as it was convienent for us.

shower was great after you waited about 3 minutes for the water to get hot. 1 shampoo, 2 soaps, and 1 towel each. Could have been a little more generous with amenities in the room. Overall good however

Beautiful location on the water with walking trail and Fisherman's Village nearby. Also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and free use of hotel computer. Great location when going to Rays games in Port Charlotte. I stay here every Spring Training.

This hotel is in the most beautiful location and could be so much more. It is currently dirty, unkept, and in dire need of a TOTAL makeover!!! Enter at your own risk!!! Such a travisity!!

Perfect location in downtown Punta Gorda, but the hotel is old and not updated. Small beds (doubles) and the mattresses were sagging. Carpet in hallway needs to be replaced. This hotel desperately needs some TLC and updating.

Fabulous position, but hotel is starting to look dated; room on the small side. We don't recommend the attached restaurant - slow service, food nothing special, but good restaurants a short drive away.

Do not stay here! I read the reviews about intermittent hot water, however, we had no hot water which is totally unacceptable. They should not be using the rooms without hot water. We have been told the GM is going to contact us, but it has been 5 days and no call back, we have called numerous times. When we checked in we found out it was not even a Best Western Hotel any longer. We spent the extra money for a water view. Not worth it. This was a party room with old out dated furniture. A TV from the 90s, and a carpet that had seen its days, and King bed that was not comfortable.

We arrived and found that the property is no longer a Best Western. The check in took forever as the clerk was having trouble with the computer. The room was acceptable. The bartenders at the waterside bar were not friendly at all and by 10PM they were downright rude. The view is nice, but the service needs work.

We had an event to attend locally and this was a perfect affordable spot. The water view and breezy walkways were an unexpected bonus. The pillows on the bed appeared to be odd sized and not for sleeping. I picked them up and with a quick shake, got them into normal size. I think the housekeeping team had been on a decorating kick.

The area park water front walking distance. To many Area restaurants shopping. Very nice area. We had a great relaxing time.

We were there on business. This hotel had friendly and helpful staff. Our room was large and I loved the view from our waterfront /parkview room. The park was nice, which I walked through in the morning. Restaurants were fairly close to the hotel. They had a large choice of breakfast items and my breakfast was good. The only exception was the hot water […] in the thermos for tea or hot cocoa was lukewarm. Also the breakfast area is at the front door and it was really cold every time the doors opened. It was 45 outside and breezy. The downside to the room was stained carpet and sheets were older. There were no odors though. Only 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths and no soap. Typical Best Western hotels would have had more towels you would not have had to request soap, it's a given you may need that. Overall pleased with the hotel and would stay again, but ask for soap and extra towels at check-in. Devamı

This hotel is old and needs a lot of updating. It's a nice location if you enjoy water. The restaurant has good food for a great price. The bar area is located on the water, great way to unwind from a long day.

Location was convenient. Hotel definitely needs a facelift. I reserved a water view and was very disappointed since we could barely see the water from our room. We tried to call the front desk numerous times for a wake up call and the line was always busy. Front desk could have been a lot more helpful.

The hotel is in a nice location with water view on one side overlooking the bay. It is, however, a bit out dated. Rooms have old tube TVs, heat and cooling is supplied by wall units. For the location, a better hotel would be expected, although the price was lower than other hotels in the area.

We stayed there two separate nights this month.It was very disappointing. There was no soap or bathmat in the bathroom. We asked the desk( couldnt be reached by phone, so we had to go downstairs). They said they were out of both items and would have to wait until 9:00 am the next morning. Nothing arrived the next morning. The staff were unhelpful. I […] would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The manager offered 8 dollars off. We said this was not to be expected of a three star hotel. She then advised us that it was only a two star hotel. WE HAVE STAYED HERE YEARLY FOR ONE OR TWO NIGHTS WHILE VISITING FRIENDS IN THE AREA. THE ROOMS ARE REASONABLE & IT IS AN EXCELLENT LOCATION.

The only problem was lots of small bugs in bathroom.

I need to have the water pressure checked the shower water pressure was very low. only thing I had an issue eirh.

We were slightly disappointed in that we thought we were getting a room with a water view and a balcony. We celebrated NYE at the restaurant connected to the hotel so it was very convenient. The bed was comfortable but very low to the ground. Overall for the price we paid it was satisfactory.

The room was musty

The attitude of the staff impressed us more than anything. Very pleasant, down to earth. Helped us with directions to places. Did anything to make us feel comfortable. And having a breakfast food layout for guests - that was excellent after driving for several hours to get there.

The room was clean, comfortable & quiet. I only stayed the one night, but enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel really isn't fancy, but it's in a great location at a great price.

Overall, the hotel and surroundings were fine. My only complaint was the bed. They were extremely soft and did not provide adequate back support. My wife and I woke with sore backs.

Picture shown of room on website where hotel was booked looked nothing like the room at hotel. Picture shows a suite-like room, and room was a basic hotel room. It was clean, though. We had no hot water for 2 days!! Location was nice, but could have found another hotel with a great location.

Great location, overlooking the Peace River. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful especially daytime guest desk person, Natalie. All employees are willing to accommodate guests. Not the most modern hotel but definitely a place where you can feel comfortable,

This hotel has a beautiful view. The rooms need to be updated. The breakfast as OK, but more gluten free items should be offered. The happy hour was not well done. The appetizers were very heavy and sparse. The wine was gone when we arrived, only a half hour after the start of the happy hour.
