The Inn at Saratoga - Saratoga Springs

Not in the middle of downtown, but close enough for an easy walk on a nice main street. There's even a small park on the way. Many restaurants and shops to choose from in downtown. That is high on my list of features; I like parking my car and not getting in it again except for necessary business, and I don't want to be trapped within a motel, but want […] to explore an interesting neighborhood. Excellent accommodations for the price. Very clean rooms and pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast was beyond what we expected!! Enjoyed our stay and will return.

Easy to find, great location, friendly staff, nostalgic surroundings.

This is a lovely hotel in a wonderful location. We had dinner in the restaurant, and the food and service were excellent. My only complaint is that it was too warm in the room. Our sleep was disrupted as it got too hot in the room in the night, and when we opened the windows, it helped, but it was still much too warm in the morning. With the East experiencing a warmer than normal March and April (84-87 degrees the weekend we were there) a Hotel without air conditioning until May (when they put them in the windows--no central a/c) is a huge problem! However, the staff on duty did provide us with a fan around midnght which at least helped me get a few hours of sleep. The first thing we saw on our way inside was the trashcan out front, overflowing. Then we were 'welcomed' by a man who neglected to say hello. Just, "Name?" It was comparable to the doctor's office asking for your insurance card first off as a way of greeting. Hotel was within walking distance to resturants and shops. decor was very nice, complimentary breakfast was okay, had to wait for fresh coffee and eggs, the first day. Room was very clean but the beds were uncomfortable and room was to hot for sleeping. Water pressure was excellent.

Excellent service. Hotel was sold out so they gave us an upgrade--a suite! It was great--canopy bed, French doors, etc.

Beautiful room, very traditional appointments. Room was way too hot, but that's the extent of the complaints. Clean site, inside and out. Very cool, quiet bar/restaurant. Friendly staff. Do not miss the breakfast. We expected a simple continental bagels/muffins and coffee thing. Wireless Internet wasn't working. Continental breakfast was fine. Good for a stop over. Looked like a nice restaurant but didn't try it this time.

We stay here every year for our anniversary and are always very happy... beautiful, old fashioned rooms, the beds are terrific, the whole place has a quirky charm, excellent service and free breakfast! However, for the first time this year we had a room facing Broadway and the noise was terrible. We did not sleep all night. I suggest white noise machines […] for these rooms. Beautiful Inn with lots of interesting history. Excellent food in both the dining room and Tavern with very friendly service.Will definitely return.

My husband and I, along with several family members, stayed at this hotel for several nights recently when we had to be in the area for a family event. The staff was extremely courteous and were always happy to fulfill any request we made. We ate a number of meals at the hotel, and all were excellently prepared and served. Our room, which was more like […] a small suite, was very comfortable with every necessary amenity. The four-poster bed was soooo comfortable! The hotel has a gracious days-gone-by ambience yet has all modern conveniences. There is always enjoyable, soft music playing throughout the hallways and foyer giving guests a restful and relaxing feeling. Parking directly behind the hotel is very convenient. The Inn was wonderful, with a B & B atmosphere. The location is perfect. The staff friendly, and the food tasty. Definitely will stay there again.

Awesome place to stay while visiting Saratoga,NY. Great location, could not ask for a better staff to assist you in whater need you may have. Can not beat the value.

The rooms were beautiful, staff very helpful. The breakfast was amazing, the chef even made a special meal for my friend with dietary restrictions. Such a great place!!

I have to start off by saying this is the first time I have ever wrote a review about a place I stayed at so with that in mind I will tell you that I am looking forward to staying at The Inn at Saratoga again. My girlfriend and I decided a little getaway and I went online and found The Inn at Saratoga. It is an older building with a lot of charm and […] character right from the start. The staff, starting with the front desk receptionist was very friendly and helpful in accommodating my requests. Once opening the door to our room, the room was absolutely breath taking. It is a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The décor was very nice and the bed was beautiful. Since our stay there, I have been looking for a bed frame just like the one we had. I think the room was reasonable priced for the room and its beauty. My dislikes has nothing to do with the staff or room but just a few things I think I should mention and maybe they will consider them. First, they had a happy hour special but since we were there for dinner and sat in the dining area, we could not get the drink special because we were not sitting at the bar. Honestly, I do not see where that makes any since because it was all coming from the same bottles. I feel that they should change that practice. Second, the shrimp cocktail was good but only three shrimps for $10.00 I think is overpriced. Third, I thought my steak meal was overpriced and did not give that wow factor that I was hoping it would have given. It was just your average steak. I would strongly recommend the crab cake. I should have had two of those and skipped the shrimp cocktail. Bottom line, my girlfriend and I already decided we will go back to stay there and we will belly up to the bar for their happy hour special and enjoy the crab cakes while enjoying our drinks specials along with the beautiful room. Our family of four stayed at the Inn at Saratoga and we loved it. The rooms were cosy and the beds were comfy. The rooms were a good size and nicely furnished. We hope to go back and stay at the Inn again.

Spacious rooms, Comfortable beds, Eating in hotel dining room for dinner is well worth it. Free breakfast needs help-recommend investing in new toaster and not keeping utensils in a dusty drawer. All parking spots in lot directly outside inn were taken, but additional parking available at nearby locations.

There are multiple reasons why someone should stay at the Inn at Saratoga. The people working at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, and the breakfast the next morning was very good! The hotel is also in a good location- just a short walk/ride away from nice restaurants/bars.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times now. I wouldn't go back if I didn't like it. Each time I have found the rooms to be very clean and the beds comfortable. The price is very reasonable. It is an older hotel, so the bathrooms are outdated but kept neat and clean. The rooms also each have their own quirks. This last one did not have a closet but […] provided an area of the room with shelving, hangers, and luggage holders. I can't complain though. I showed up at the hotel at 10:30 am and asked if I could check in early and drop off my bags. The room reserved for me hadn't been cleaned yet. However, they were very accommodating and rearranged various reservations to get me in a room early. It was also very convenient to down town and the areas that I needed to visit. Four thumbs up. Lot's of history and free wi-fi! The best of all worlds. Large renovated rooms, great food in the restaurant/bar and a buffet breakfast. Why stay anywhere else in Saratoga Springs?

The Inn at Saratoga is the oldest in town. It is well maintained for it's age and the rooms are a very nice mixture of antique furniture and modern amenities. The king four post bed was magnificent. There was an LCD TV in the room and the fixtures in the bathroom were modern and in good working order. The hotel staff was quick at check in and courteous […] throughout. We truly enjoyed our second stay at this Inn. The rooms are big and comfortable with great mattresses!!! The front desk folks couldn't be more accommodating. This Inn has character!! If you are looking for a modern, cookie cutter type of hotel, look across the street.

What a wonderful place to spend Christmas Eve. Very charming and comfortable, with the added bonus of breakfast. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

An inn like this with character is a wonderful alternative to the usual plastic - I could be anywhere - style. Sure if you want the sterile feel of an operating theatre it won't be for you. The rooms are very spacious and clean with wonderful period furniture - it feels very grand.

Suggest a footstool so smaller folks can get into the very high bed! The breakfast on weekends is really very nice. Our room's shower never had hot water.

This was my second time here; my daughter goes to school in the area and I wanted to stay here again. Marvelous ... from the first step in to the sublimely terrific food prepared by Karen. She is a chef of an amazingly high caliber; from Sunday's egg-omlet which melted in my mouth, to the terrific cakes and bread. Totally awesome! She should put out […] a book ... I'd be the first one to buy it. The Inn and rooms are so traditional, you can feel the history everywhere! It is located just out of the town proper, but everything is nearby. Were looking for something other than a "chain hotel" and this fit the bill just right. Very friendly staff and hotel is in great condition - rooms had nice antique furnishings - yet al "modern conveniences". We also enjoyed a delicious meal at the Inn.

This hotel was very clean and enjoyable. It's decorated with antique furniture which adds to the general charm of the hotel. The front desk staff was very courteous. The room was large but the bathroom small, though not a big deal for me. I'd rather a small bathroom than a dirty one! Very reasonable rate for the room. The only thing I disliked about […] the hotel was the restaurant's menu. Pretty pricy for mediocre food. Other than that, I'll definitely be going back and enjoying the restaurants in the area. Two of my grown daughters and I go for a weekend a couple of times a year. This is one of the very nicest hotels we have stayed in. It had such a feeling of "Old Saratoga" - rooms were lovely, beds very comfortable, loved extra room for changing, grooming, etc. Only thing I would suggest different is a larger coffee pot. The pot only made one small […] cup at a time. Breakfast, included, was really nice and relaxing. Drinks in the lounge overlooking Broadway was so relaxing and enjoyable. The Inn was very clean, with a friendly staff. It was was beautifully decorated and the food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious. The rooms were spacious, clean, and also decorated beautifully. Great place for a romantic getaway.

We requested a king bed, but were told only doubles were available and we would be put on a cancelation list. When we arrived, we not only had a king bed, but because our stay was for 5 days, we were upgraded to a suite. The front desk clerk, Michele, was more than accommodating. She remembered us when we left and was so pleasant. The breakfast buffet […] was more than adequate and we had wireless in our room. I stayed at the Inn at Saratoga for two nights. It has a lot of character. Although it looks old, its well maintained and classy. Although I would have peferred a fridge and microwave in my room, the great breakfast buffet made up for this. The food's a lot better than I expected. On a recent Thanksgiving week trip, my wife and I made a point of staying in a variety of older motif inns. The Inn at Saratoga was easily one of the best we encountered and one of the most reasonable rates we found. We will return!

Overall the ambiance of the hotel was wonderful, but a full hot breakfast should not be advertised f you only serve cereal yogurt and bagels!
